What are the most Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Omega bands/genres?
Omega: folk punk, progressive metal
>>65274204
Gamma is pretty much every experimental and improvisational genre.
Gamma would be any sort of spite/rebellion genre, like jazz, punk, maybe also noise and experimental/avant-garde by nature
Hey /mu/ anything like Elliott Smith's first 3 albums but better?
>>65274140

his fourth album
Neil Young, quite obscure I know.
>3 Yo La Tengo albums in best 90s list
>Both Radiohead albums top 90s and 00s lists

>0.6 for "I Get Wet" and ten years later 8.6 then added to "top albums of 00s"
>3 fucking Spoon albums on best 00s list
We only stay for the new artists and not actually read the reviews right?
Also they have given Blur and U2 multiple 9.5s
I honestly don't get what you're trying to say, OP.
>>65274042
I think I remember them giving a bunch of early indie rock, pop rock and ska some 9.5 and then deleted it. Can't find them or remember them on the archive desu

What is this genre called /mu/?
It's got Hip Hop & Electronic elements combined. I feel like FlyLo also belongs in this category.
I know that there's a genre called electro hip hop but that is just pure cancer.
Where can I get Kaytran & FlyLo stuff?
(I also dig Oshi e.g.)
>>65273397
>I know that there's a genre called electro hip hop but that is just pure cancer.
wew
>>65273409
I mean just reading the wiki article it states:
"In the late 2000s and into the 2010s, electro-hop had gained worldwide commercial success. Such artists include The Black Eyed Peas (called the 'Kings of Electro-hop'), LMFAO, Flo Rida, Far East Movement and Nicki Minaj, among others."
and the stuff on r/electrohiphop is mostly garbage
>>65273417
Okay, when I see electro I think
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electro_(music)
/mu/, who is your favorite vocalist?
I mean, we always discuss various artists and their music and their writing ability, but tell me -- which vocalist do you enjoy hearing the most? Considering the range, the color of the voice, the pitch, everything.
Grimes
>>65273378
Roger Waters during those brief moments when he actually became a highly skilled and emotional singer.
See "Go Fishing" off of TPACOHH for a perfect example of this.
Other than that I'd say Chris Cornell, only because he's capable of moving his voice in so many different ways.
>>65273378
Thom Yorke desu, he can do so many voices, from deep and seductive, to that more vulnerable falsetto he's known for.
Don't really ever see modern psychedelic music discussed on /mu/ aside from Tame Impala.
What are some recent releases in the genre that are worth listening to?
Been listening to All Them Witches - Lightning at the Door lots this year and really digging it. Other stuff like Colour Haze and more stoner rock-esque stuff like Samsara Blues Experiment too.
>>65273197
No one?
>>65273197
The live album All Them Witches put up from Belgium is outstanding. Not fond of their last studio album, but in the context of the live show (with the tracks from Lightning) it's great.
>>65273496
Got a link to live one? I haven't seen it.
