Oh, and that said, if me doing this does come off as assholish as you make it sound (I won't deny that-- there is, as a mater of fact, a dickish element to this that no stylistic justification can remove. My failure may have been in miscalculating it's scale) I could, I dunno, pause Miracle for a day or two to QM this properly, if as I said before people wants me to. The main problem I had with it was how short and inconclusive it was. Like we barely did anything and accomplished nothing from it. It was a neat idea, but either make it longer or make something significant happen as soon as possible, cause right now it seems kinda pointless to us players.

One of the main purposes I can talk about without giving spoilers was that I wanted to give a sneak peek into Rarity's through process. If I had mentioned this was related to Miracle, people would've expected her to be as grim as everything else. And there are a few small details that I don't think people has caught that could be useful (Albeit not vital) later on.
The most glaring fact was the armored sleeper, but a few others were hinted at.

Can't and won't try to deny this, it did have a notorious lack of closure. I had expected the players to act differently with something, so it's length got cut unexpectedly even for me, and I should have planed for the players not doing what I expected-- I broke one of the primary QMing rules in that.
Then again, test with styles and all. At least I think I did a good Rarity.
And again:Just ask and I can run a longer version of the quest (From the moment she climbs down the hole, for example) that actually has closure to it, I'd be charmed to in fact, and I'd detest to leave my players without any sort of closure.

Maybe it wasn't a great idea or maybe it just wasn't done as well as it could've been, but people over reacting. A medium is made to be explored, that's how growth is created. This medium relies on player input, so it's only natural that someone would want to play around with different ways of using that.
Hell i've thought of doing stuff like this for my cyoa, ideas much more radical.

I think School Daze or Sorcery had pretty much the worst settings
Sorcery kind of had potential, but the high school thing and the characters we had so far, there was just too many ways it could go wrong, and not even in an interesting way
I'd say Bird Quest or that one quest by Neuro with the infamous 4-legged seapony, but they never really went anywhere and could potentially have been fun/cute
I kind of want to mention Semantic Error because I dislike how grim it looks, but that would be unfair because it's subjective, and it's still a lot better than the ones I mentioned before.

#1 - You play as Maud Pie. You wake up, Boulder is missing, turns out Pinkie borrowed him for a special party. Trixieshe's working the rock farm again because little show income at the timeand yourself (and Limestone and/or Marble if players choose it) go to Ponyville to attend said party. Have to wait until later, Slice of Life in Ponyville for a while and then other things happen. Setting is before Hearthbreakers.
#2 You play as a pony waking up in a hospital. Kind of hard to describe this without m-muh spoilers, but basically, you have amnesia and your body is freaking out as you change species (Pegasus/Earth/Unicorn) randomly. You find out some potential contacts that should know who you are, seek them out, stuff happens, go to Princess(es) to try and figure out stuff and get sucked into bigger conflicts.
#3 Madhouse quest. I posted a little about this before in a thread a while ago, but basically you're a pony and you have a 'problem' but you don't think you do. You get sent to a mental institution to get worked on, make friends with other patients, decide if you want to figure out why you are how you are or keep going on the ride as it is and escape said institution. Kind of SoL, albeit things have the potential to get a little dark.

These next few are far less developed, but might do something with one dayAnything's possible, after all.
#4 Wild West-themed quest. You're a pegasus hired by a hay ranch for capturing the rare clouds old timey Cloudsdale sends out towards Dodge Junction (being early in Equestria's beginnings, ponies are spread pretty far and producing enough weather for the outreaches can be difficult). Various Western activity goes on; robberies, gambling, gunplay, pony saloon/dance hall, farm-saving, etc. It sounds very Wild West but with ponies, I know, but I'd do my best to make it less that and more a really MLP Wild West (albeit gritty compared to the show).
#5 Misfit quest. You are running through Everfree Forest with something (some things) chasing you; somehow you get knocked out and rescued or escape. You wake up in a village full of weirdoes deep in the EverfreeMoth ponies, bat ponies, Minotaur lady with an udder, Changeling, Bird pony, others - was even considering human but don't know if 'I could do it well' as I'd like.. You get assigned a job, SoL it for a little, then a plane pony shows up (not like a modern one; think crudely made automaton with biplane-like wings/propellers) and things start getting weirder/going downhill from there in the outcast colony.
#6 You are Trixie's assistant and are travelling along with her. You're heading toward a new city to put on a show, everything seems fine at first, but then spoopiness goes down. You have to figure things out before this is hers and your last showing ever!
There are a couple of others, but one I might actually try running soon, so we'll get to that eventually as I pound through the experimental selection part of it.

You, whatever you are, have crash landed on a planet. Whether you were shot down in a space battle, or simply a malfunction caused you to crash, it doesn't matter too much.
What does matter is that you are stranded, and most of your equipment is damaged. You have no current way off the planet.
But lo and behold, the inhabitants of said planet are cute colorful horse creatures.
There might be enough juice in the old nano-machines to take on the form of one, blend in, make friends or whatever else.
All you have left is your technology, and whether you want to use it to enslave or befriend or whatever else is up to you. You can choose to survive and make a life or maybe get the ponies help to build a new ship.
I imagine it would be sort of survival/slice of life depending on which choices were made and how the players chose to interact.But re-reading this, it sounds pretty autistic, so it'll likely never get made.
