Why is the Kamen Rider franchise so shitty that Samurai Flamenco was better? You'd think that after years of experience of doing these shows that they'd be able to top something made as a love letter to toku on a tight budget. Imagine if Pacific Rim was the single greatest mecha-related media in existence (inb4 it is), that's what I mean. Samumenco shit on Kamen Rider in only 26 episodes despite over 30 years of storylines from the latter. Seriously, this isn't a joke or anything, I'm wondering why KR (and hell, let's include Super Sentai too because I've seen nothing salvageable from that either) is consistently worse than basically all toku. Only Metal Heroes and Ultraman have had decent stories.

I'm serious though, there is not a single character who thinks smart or plans ahead as much as Jin does, not to mention he actually has the clearest goal and motivation compared to the rest. The writers of Samumenco actually loved what Kamen Rider represented once. There's a reason the entire show is almost entirely Showa-oriented. Franchises like Sentai and Ultraman retained a sense of solidarity whereas Rider basically became self-loathing for over a decade.

I'll be specific: I like Jin because he has a realistic and subtle sense of complexity in the way he is portrayed. Outside he acts like a care-free, slightly-edgy dude, but inside he's a serious straightforward person who wants to find redemption for his mistakes involved in the experiments, and he's willing to put his own life into securing that sense of peace for himself. That's something I do like in a main rider and generally in a character, but unfortunately, the show likes to focus on his exterior more and somewhat forgets to give more insight to his depth, which is what I find disappointing about him. I won't fanboy over Jin, but I do appreciate his presence in this simplistic show.
As for Haruka, I really dislike his character because he has been doing but wandering back and forth over selfish intentions. He lets innocent human people die for the sake of figuring out whether an Amazon deserves to be killed or not, and he never takes responsibility or even acknowledge it in contrast to Jin who is fully aware of his own actions. He is also so hypocritical and so far stuck up his own ass that he kills people who don't want to die, yet he whines when others kill those who don't want to die. Haruka would be just as bad as Wataru if you ignore Wataru's daddy issues, and even then I cannot understand why anyone thinks his character is anything more than a cardboard hero figure.
I really would have preferred Amazons to focus on Jin more instead of Haruka so that we could have gotten more maturity potential out of the show's concept. In the end, we're stuck with this and I'm not too happy with what we got.

The people that watch kids toy commercials expecting mature writing(AKA most people here) don't really know much about actual mature writing, that's why they even bother with Kamen Rider in the first place.

It would kinda be like Black/RX but has aliens that have invaded and subjugated the human populace. Most humans welcomed the new alien overlords because of new sciences and technology. Secret plot is that the aliens came to harvest us because our latent psionic potential is the highest out of the various creatures they have come across. The aliens start experimenting on humans to bring out powers that they can splice into themselves. These powers are pretty much a hybrid between bound and spirit type stands (sort of like the ghost parkas from KR Ghost). Our hero is a Shocker type rider who is "rescued" from one of their labs by the human resistance. Plot twist would probably be that he was never truly human but a hybrid of human and various alien DNA types. The resistance were originally going to kill him and harvest his body to create their own rider but when they found out your programming was incomplete turned him against the aliens. Upgrades would take the form of various psionic amps that augment his powers and change his form. Over time the resistance reverse engineers their tech and has made one or two human psionic riders that accompany him on missions like Amazons but the other riders would be hybrid riders the aliens control which could homage various alien types such as greys, xenomorphs, or body horror monsters. Act 2 reveals the Mk.2 of the protag who becomes his Shadowmoon allegory. Overall theme is heavily cyberpunk and dystopic. Hell you can even throw in a Ghost crossover by having Takeru confuse the psychic force ghost of the protag for a Ganma.
