I thought TV 01's finisher is Unison Kick. And the Evas could soak hits decently in @3 because their base and maximum armor values were much higher. And they can actually dodge with mobility upgrades and an S terrain.

Power-level wise, I consider Toei, Armaggedon and Zan (the female one) to be some of the better Getters.
Sadly Neo and BOOMERANG SAUCER aren't that impressive - though I suppose the former is probably intentional since it's a starting choice unit.

Yeah, Go is a bit on the weaker side of things. If the ladies Getter's special mechanic could go even higher than it is in the pic it could have even more potential to it. New and Arc seem OK from the looks of it.
At least Neo avails itself to some combos (unless those got patched out, I think some things have changed in SRC Dungeon since I took these pics; you'd think the Toei Getter would get a combo, for one thing), and has a pretty strong finisher, but it's pretty costly. I think it's 100 EN a use.

Yeah, Rei's lackluster attack power and lack of a damage spirit leaves her with some issues.
I just keep her in Asuka's back seat so it's easier to abuse the unplug exploit with both of them at once. It really helps for spamming the combo (which happens to be the second or third strongest attack in the game by base power, and Shinji is packing Soul).

I might be remembering the infodump wrong, but basically the entire Z cast got "marked" somehow to be cursed wanderers, hence all the random universe jumping that dumps the Z1 cast on you during Z2. Same thing happens to the Z2 newcomers eventually as well. They're effectively immortal but if they "die" they get warped to another universe at random with no mech and no friends and no way to get back.

That thing is in this game too, but it's pretty ass. I mean, it's about as good as the regular Hyaku Shiki. You get them together really early on, I guess they're the best Mobile Suits you'll have for quite some time if you don't have the Link Battler units, but they're definitely not late game material.

I just noticed the R-3 Powered actually has more HP than the R-2 Powered, before parts. R-2 has 4200 and the R-3 has 4400. God the R-2 is a piece of shit here. It could probably be good with upgrades but it's really not worth the investment with how little cash you get vs upgrade costs, especially when the SRX Team doesn't formally join until like halfway through the game.

GC and J are the headliners, but we've also seen more RRR stuff (Allies Geist or however it's spelled had its second form show up, except now it's Einsty), the red and blue Exbeins with Boxer and Gunner frames for both, and touch ups to a lot of old units - the Wild Birds, Compatikaiser, and apparently R1.
It's seeing international release in Taiwan and in the SEA region, but only on the PS4. It'll be in English for the latter though. I'm getting the Japanese version because I have PS3 access now and it comes out like one or two months earlier, so.

So was Raideen the very first mecha show Tomino directed? I'm three episodes in, but I can't really form an opinion on it since its start is just so weird and random. R-2 was supposed to have a psychodriver manage the engine output, but they subbed in a genius who knew his way around EOT engines. You could theoretically shove a psychodriver back in there. I wouldn't trust Ratsel or Latooni to do it, since neither of them have the EOT experience.
Ing is probably the best choice, maybe Ryoto as a backup.
R-3 would be hardest to replace, since the T-Link System in it is heavily customized for Aya alone. You'd have to do a complete overhaul.
