***READ THE GUIDE***

For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, dont make the new people worry!
>Why won't anyone answer my question?
Try being specific, especially about your materials and process. Post pictures whenever possible; even if the kit/part looks bad, you are more likely to get help posting pictures.

>>
>>14197653

that is really a tough call yeah

cans would be the best for you, but if I had to topcoat a kit without an airbrush I would do a gloss finish with Future for sure. Future has insane leveling properties and is one of the best at hiding brush strokes. Lots of jet guys and car guys just literally DUNK their whole clear parts, shake them off and then leave them alone and it's all good. You can brush it pretty well for that reason. So if you can get future I would do that. You have to LEAVE IT ALONE though, no matter what, even if it looks like it's getting hazy or whatever. Put it under a box top too so it doesn't get dusty.

If you have to use what you've got I would do a lot of practice first.

Epoxy isn't that great for sculpting anyway. There's a transition gap between working with clay or wax and working with epoxy. Epoxy is much stickier and cures quickly which has messed a lot of people up.

Why can't you get epoxy anyway?

I'm more excited for the Auge, personally. KOG will probably reuse the same dated Mirage frame as the LED and Terror and so it'll be a lot less stable than newer releases. Auge will be a 100% new tooling from the ground up, and probably won't cost nearly as much as KOG because it has no gold plating.

I think it will probably be like how Bandai went about making the Hyaku Shiki 2.0's gold parts, so not so much plating as is spraying. All the pictures I see of the old resin kit this was based off of have that same gold color. But it will still cost a lot because of the gold.

They'll probably give you a metal rod to stick in their backpack like they did for LED Mirage. I don't see why Auge needs a stand since the weight distribution will be balanced by its huge flat feet.

Here's hoping we get a proper Junchoon someday to replace that shitty old Wave kit.

Pro tip in Japan
Grab item
Hand to cashier
Hand more or exact amount of yens
Collect left over yens from bowl by the register
Grab the bag that your plastic toy now inhabits and leave.

Never once do you have to talk.

"Ikura des ka?"
"Kore kudasai "

Cheap paint is cheap because it has low pigment resulting in less vibrant color. Depending on the formula is also may not adhere or level well.

what are your prices and shipping?
>>

depends on how many you buy, if you bought them all they would average on 8-10 each. That includes the special editions and MG. Shipping for all would most likely be flate rate 100 or so since it would be coming in like at most 3 boxes.

A long time ago, I got a pair of extra antiship swords for the PG strike by writing an email to Bandai (or was it HLJ?) and asking if they had the specific parts in stock. Since Dalong scans the manuals it shouldn't be too hard to find the parts you need.

Though it might be wise not to get too greedy, they'll probably frown at you if you ask for 500 Sinanju bazookas.

Finally "finished" this guy. So how badly did I fuck up this model?

Idk why, but I'm not really feeling the boots. Maybe if I went pure black, or black instead of the bright red?

On a side note, if I dull coat the clear parts of the Unicorn Destroy mode, will that ruin the effect with fogginess?

question: how ould one go designing a custom suit? Where would you start designing it? Or if you already knew what you wanted, is there some good line art to mix and match to make it easier to see how it looks?
>>

Well how could you mix and match lineart to make a custom suit?

Would the ground gundam/EZ8 really count as a true gundam though? It's not a single off shoot prototype with immense power. It's also mass produced.
>>
>>14199917
But Ez8 is a single off shoot with (slightly) greater power. Ground Gundams are Gundams, although they're literally worse than GMs. Victories and F91s were mass-produced so that can't exclude them.
>>
>>14199937
>literally worse than GMs
Are they, though?

In the extras Karen took a cannon shot square to the chest and was back in action shortly after. They even explicitly comment on how tough their armor is.
>>
>>14199917
Isn't the Ez8 just a repaired Ground Gundam
>>
>>14199958
The armor is all. Just look at their acceleration stats. They'd never be able to pull off an assisted jump like the Gundam or GMs and as shown in the show they're not particularly mobile, whereas the GM is almost as good as the Gundam pre-MC coating
>>
>>14199958
They have luna titanium thanks to being made from leftover project V parts. In all other aspects they are supposed to be lower performance due to needing to use limiters to make their random project V parts work together properly while the ground GM benefited from newly built parts designed to work together without the limiters.

When Shiro's ground gundam was repaired into EZ-8 it actually got a small performance upgrade thanks to incorporating some spare GM parts.
>>
>>14199958
GMs are better in literally every other way. Mobility, flight, generator power, beam weapons (which make armor basically useless). I'm talking real GMs, not Early Types or [G]s, although I think those are refined in different ways they aren't as good.
>>

>>14197984

400 is only to mill away anything above the plastic line very, very gingerly; from there it's a smoothing process with higher grits. I suggest 1000 to smooth, 1500-2000 (possibly a coffee filter after that if you're autistic about scratches) to buff scratches out.
