For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, dont make the new people worry!

So I have this ambitious project in mind where I make a HG Barbatos for each of the forms. So far I currently have 4th form, from the Barbatos & Kutan-III set.
Now, I'm wondering, how many other sets will I need to buy in order to complete this? I mean, I figured I'd have to buy 4 Generic Barbatos, and 3 6th Form Barbatos (for the 5th, 5th Ground, and 6th forms), but what other accessories do I need to get from the other HG IBO sets? Anyone else doing this, or got any other ideas?

Actually, if you are making a separate barbatos for each from you'll need like three graze.
One for the green shoulder version from the duel, one with the blue and white shoulders for the orbital fight where it lost its shield arm, and one more blue and white for the battle against the turbines where its shield was replaced with the schwalbe claw.
You will also need the shcwalbe thigh binders for the version where it dropped to earth.

From what I saw on Gundam Wiki, they count Green shouldered Barbatos as just Second Form, which is what I was going for. Although I might actually wanna do that green shouldered one too.
Does the Schwalbe come with a pair of ordinary Graze shoulders, or only the fancy ones? Barring that, how hard would it be to cast them, since 3 graze seems a bit much, and I don't know how I feel about having 3 Grazes without shoulders.
Although, I could just get some more of those weapons packs and put the bazooka on them. Plus I could get another Graze, make it a commander, and have like an artillery squad. Decisions, decisions.

Enjoy 0 Gundam. My only gripe with the kit is that it doesn't hold its rifle very well but it is only an HG. It's actually a lot of fun to detail too.
I just realised that the last MG that is non-Gundam look alike/derivative ,non First Gundam, nor key rival character(Sazabi etc) was the Geara Doga, Jesta, Marasai and the O. The O being the last ABS frame one.
GN-X wasn't counted as it reused some parts from Exia. Marasai kind of used parts from the Zaku.
The 1/100 IBO line is a godsend to give us a Graze frame(3 releases) and the Valkyria Frame, but then the latter is counted as skinny signature rival MS.
I think the Schwalbe Graze being rival MS had a role in it and they probably decided on the normal Graze due to that.

The 1/100 IBO kits aren't MG. Their construction is simpler in a lot of places and they have a lower parts count to keep the cost down. They also have no cockpit feature, moving panels, or other features that are typically associated with MG.
And what are you talking about with the 0, that was a main antagonist MS.
And the last series to give us the grunt MS in 1/100 was the 00 line.

It is possible, snapfag's kits are recent kit release in the last 5 years or so, this was an HG Impulse which looks like absolute ass that has seam lines fucking everywhere. It's even missing a hunk of plastic in the leg, i don't even know how he did it.
Ok, so if I got the Seravee GNHW/B and Raphael would I have enough parts to make a somewhat modified Raphael Dominions (with an alternate color scheme) and the Seravee II? I think I would.
I'm not completely certain which part goes on the Raphael's arms as the armor.

No, the real issue with the Gusion is that it comes with one frame. Making things worse, the 1/100 Gusion actually uses a slightly different frame than the Kimaris & Barbatos (aside from coloration, their frame is identical) so you can't just buy a Barbatos as a cheap way to display both.

I suppose thats one way to look at them though for me I want to learn how to hand paint them to clean up the imperfections I make I get frustrated because I have unsteady hands so I tend to file to wide or not put them together well until someone detailed how to get the gyan vulcan done right I didn't think I had the right kit. All my paint that a bought is supposedly useless for hand painting and mediocre for airbrushing so I was a bit depressed

Some of the panel lining looks a little sloppy (top of the right thigh above the decal stands out the most), otherwise pretty solid. The Raiser wings look particularly good, from what I can see.
There are some nubs that really shouldn't be there since you paid the shekels for a PG. See Right GN binder
Also, I suspect you're gonna have some of those decals peeling off/going brittle on the edges at some point. The wrist ones will be first based on my guess.
Also, there's a hair or a small piece of shaved plastic hanging off of the left V-fin.

Cotton swab. Just use a cotton swab. You'll get a far more even appearance.

Aside from the nubs on the guns (nubs on grey and black parts are always easy to find), I only see one major nub on the body itself. There's either a protrusion or a gouge on the right forearm where it separates for the psycho-frame.

Cotton swabs clean up really nice, so feel free to go heavy on the lines. I've linked you to a vid where a dude uses Tamiya panel lining accents, so he uses paint thinner on the cotton swab, but the end result here is basically identical to using a gundam marker and a regular cotton swab.

Mr color is technically an acrylic but uses a lacquer thinner that dries far too quickly for handbrushing snd will ruin brushes. Also the fumes are toxic so you need as respirator while using it. It is intended for airbrushing only. yhat's why your paint looks sort of thick and grainy. You aren't supposed to handbrush it.
Aqueous is their water based line and can be handbrushed.

Research paints before buying them. They come in different kinds that require different thinners and some can be dangerous without proper precautions. Also, remember to thin your paints and seal with a top coat.
It's all a learning experience, no one starts off perfect. Lord knows I've fucked up and was stupid plenty of times.

No. Tamiya is alcohol based and alcohol will cause vallejo to gum up badly. You can use water to thin vallejo.
