Which one is the most beginner friendly or just most good and enjoyable in general?

X is a pretty decent place to start too though the cameos would be weird.
Nexus is great, but very different. Personally I'd recommend after you get a few shows under the belt
Max is most paced like of Showa shows, so that's also an option

It's kind of hard to say which is best. Most Showa series start with a basic premise and are very Monster of the Week until the last few episodes, even more so than modern series. But of the shows I've seen, I'd recommend Seven, Ace, and maybe Leo. I'd say the original is worth a shot as well.

Aside from work and family, I have other tokusatsu related work in front of me that include ripping over two dozen DVD's and another ultraman project (it's nothing too exciting but it's something that isn't available anymore). The loss of Towards the Future was a wake-up call and I am invested in making sure these shows don't dissappear. But there's only so much I can do and if it's a choice between a show that is commercially available and one that has never had English subs before...?
