What's being a transbian like? I am bisexual and I have really been trying to not be a transbian because I would feel like I am not trutrans, my dating pool will be tiny because it's restricted to lesbians who are ok with trannies, when I was a man I found getting a date with a woman to be basically impossible and everyone seems to hate transbians in general. Unfortunately I just spent three hours watching a woman wiggle her ass on Playboy TV so yeah. I prefer sex with men but I can only cuddle and love women. Despite my best efforts this has never changed.
I think the fact that the cis lesbians of /lgbt/ were so insecure about their femininity that they decided to exclude trans women from their secret club gives you an idea of what being a transbian is like.You rarely see gay guys do this shit with trans men.
It's fine. Nearly every girl I've been with since transition have treated me like a woman but since I only date bisexuals they all just crave the dicking which kinda sucks. You also have to deal with the fact that they're bi and often do bad stereotypical bi things.
I've never dated another transwoman although I'm talking to one who's really into me. Feels too gay for me though so I don't think I'll have any advice on that any time soon but as an outside observer it's just an easy to double the amount of tranny drama and shit in your life.

I've always envied them since I was a little kid. I was always fascinated by queer culture and how much more freedom it seemed to offer than the heterosexual culture.

If anything, I'd argue that the rules that you often find an LGBT culture allows for less freedom. People see your body type, declare you with a label, and then decide whether or not they're interested in you based solely on that label. As a guy who personally enjoys a wide variety of body types, I find it pretty distressing.
On the other hand, I have heard of quite a few nerdy bear types who kinda wished that were gay because attracted far more attention from gay men than they did from women. I can kinda see that.

He seemed to think that women are somehow 'tricked' into liking men, and he must do so himself with a younger woman. He could not comprehend how two people can simply like each other.

How do I start dressing how I want without freaking out the people around me? I'm in a LTR and would like to continue being in said LTR but she doesn't do well with change and if I just broke out with the leggings and tanks and tunics and makeup and whatnot I fear it will be too much for her and she will be put off. Just eyeliner was a big step for her and I've been tempering myself by my hair growth but the last 1/2" I've started to feel really comfortable with myself and my comfort level and femme now exceeds my percieved ability to change how I dress and act and I am hitting a point where all I want to do is be cute. For now it is wholly unrealistic to even try part time but when it's just us i want to be her girlfriend, finally, as I have always wanted to be.
