Hey /k/, new to guns and first time posting here. With everything going on in the world I decided its time to get something for home defense. Right now I'm on the table between 3 different handguns, I just want one as a starter for now and eventually once I learn more I'll get further into it. What I wanted to know is if you have to pick between Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, or Beretta which would you choose and why? Right now I'm leaning towards Smith & Wesson.
For the Smith & Wesson it is the M&P 40 Shield, for Sig Sauer it is the Model P226, and for Beretta it is the PX4 Storm. All are within my price range and all .40 S&W.
Basically all I want to know is which manufacturer do you think is going to have the most reliable one? Pic related its the Smith & Wesson.
Why .40?
All will be perfectly reliable unless you absolutely abuse the everloving shit out of them
Just go for the one that looks/feels the best to you. If you aren't worried about concealing it then capacity is always a plus
home defense? why not fullsize?
or shotgun when youre at it
"You Delta boys are a bunch on undisciplined cowboys. You're gonna need my Rangers when we're on the line" Was he jealous of Delta?
>>28437876
No he was just a shitty officer with a stick up his ass - like all direct commission officers
>>28437876
Of course he was.
When you're a straight-laced officer in the Rangers and you see a bunch of enlisted guys in Delta walking around unshaven and with their hands in their pockets, jealousy is within the realm of possibility.
I told you faggots how preventing gun ownership to the mentally ill was not constitutional and was going to be a back door to gun confiscation. Enjoy your no guns or owning them illegally :)
>diagnosed with clinical depression
>involuntarily instituted under the baker act as a kid because my mom found edgy 14-year-old drawings
Now I won't be able to buy a gun? Did he lay out specifics?
>>28437825
There is a bill going through congress. I'm going to read over it. Alex Jones was saying that if you're on social security disability and you get money deposited automatically you would be prevented from gun ownership.
I already got my CCP, so I nolonger have to go through background checks, but is it possible that with this new executive order that the authorities will do a new background check on me and discover that I was suspended from highschool for being suicidal and revoke my CCP?
Would it be retarded to put a drum mag and rpk bipod on a full size Draco pistol?
>>28437634
I like it
>>28437634
Having an ak pistol at all without SBR intentions is automatically a little retarded on it's own. But it's your money, not mine.
I've bought stuff just for laughs before.
>>28437634
make a video on how it's the ultimate truck gun
All memes aside the Katana is probably the great sword ever constructed
>steel folded 1000 times
>solid weight
>can cut through other swords
why have you rednecks not picked one up yet?
>>28437512
first! also sage
>memes aside
>lists memes
0/10
>>28437512
so, how exactly does it differ from the techniques europeans used to make knifes over 1000 years before Japanese made katana?
Art Bell says it does but I'm not sure I believe him. He didn't manage to hit his stalker which makes me wonder.
>>28437420
yeah man eat those fucking shrooms it'll make your aim better
Is anyone this fucking retarded?
>>28437420
That shit keeps my old man's cancer at bay
Reefer helps too

Take half.

What are the legal issues of driving a semi truck and possessing a valid cpl?
If i cross state lines with my weapon can i get into trouble if i get pulled over? What about if i have to use my weapon? I did some research, but all i found was a report from a few years ago that said the feds don't really have am opinion. I just want top make sure the rules are the same for me as they are for everyone else.
Pic related. Is my carry piece.
you'll need a ccw or equivalent in every state that you plan to carry in, if you want to do it legally.
>>28437418
Even with the reciprocate laws?
My cpl is from Michigan. The only state i go to that doesn't recognize it is Illinois. In that case i leave it home.
>>28437277
Keep it, carry it, use it when neccessary.
Regardless of how legal it is, you will end up incarcerated for a short amount of time after you defend yourself. That's our legal system, sucks but its better than being dead.
/K/ How do you stop the booty infiltrate?

>posts the fish gun
>not ironically hating it
woo boy memes abound
So here is my retarded idea /k/:
>Take a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt (Bisley for ease of cocking)
>Have a gunsmith install a Nagant style cam to press the cylinder into the forcing cone
This would likely make cocking the hammer pretty heavy, but it should be easier in the Bisley style.
>thread the barrel
>used slightly recessed wadcutter .45 Colt to create the gas seal as well
Would this work? Why would it not? Is there any way it could work? Would a different revolver be more suitable? The point is to make a suppressed revolver in a somewhat decent caliber, and that is actually obtainable.
You're dumb and working off ideas from that QTDDTOT thread.
You do realize that revolver doesn't even have room behind the cylinder to put a camming arm, right?
>>28436941
Also cocking the hammer doesn't cam the cylinder forward, the trigger itself does
>>28436948
You know what to do /k/

If you asked 100 women, would they give a blowjob to a Marine or Army?
This is important.
Surely you should be asking 100 women this question, and not 10,000 lonely gun-obsessed virgins?
Army maybe, as for the marine, you'd probably have to chase another marine away from his dick first.
>>28436849
False.
Army owes me. I'll let a 2 stars pass.
Title pretty much says it all.
I've been rolling with ironsights and traditional scopes for my entire life. However, I've now gotten interested in these fancier optics.
How'd you explain the differences between different models / types of these red dot / holographic sights?
What's the maximum range you can effectively use this kind of sights?
What type would you recommend for a 7.62x39 AK?
I'd be mounting it similarly as in the pic related, using a quick-mount that attach to the commie rail
only options to consider
>pa advanced micro
>aimpoint t1/t2
>combloc red dots (for the sake of clarity, consider the first two choices)
If you know what you're doing and really wanted to, you could hit up to 1,000 yards with a well built ak and decent ammo.
You can easily make 600 yard shots with ironsights and even easier with a red dot, especially something like an aimpoint with settings to holdover.
That being said, 7.62x39 does have a large drop at 550-600ish yards.
>>28436799
yuuuuup
>>28436749
You'd want to either get a low profile gas block rail for a micro dot scout mount or a railed dust cover. Anything higher like in pic you posted is going to make you have to put your fucking chin on the stock to even see through it, and they don't hold zeros very well.
For the majority of modern war (let's arbitrarily say 1914 and onward) what has been the smallest unit of men that could decide a battle, in the majority of battles?
The division? The regiment? The battalion is as far as I'm willing to go down.
>>28436515
One man. Especially if he is a machinegunner.
Okay, maybe two. The machinegunner and the feeder.
>>28436515
>what has been the smallest unit of men that could decide a battle, in the majority of battles?
Twenty.
>>28436515
I'll probably get shitted on for saying this.
My squad, marine infantry.
12 dedicated men ready to rip shit up.
We were untouchable.
Where can i get a Serb cutter glove knife like this?
I really want to own one.
>>28436441
Make one and have Serb killing competitions with your comrades
Are you aware of the Mexican sacatripe? Used for gutting sheep ..... and other warm blooded animals
>>28436441
It's a myth created by serbs
