2nd meetup
This time, Japanese mononofu sent us a video. Included was a mini interview and then a question for the American fans. One of the fans in the video actually met Lak at the AX concert, and wore the shirt he gave out. Plus, they gave us some merch and hand-made figures to raffle off.
Then we watched the concert, which was Momokuri 2011. Which was really fun, like last time. Although the urya, oi chants were pretty off.
Also that feel when dead thread all the time forever.

don't know what you're talking about. all it says is that they're not gonna appear on the nhk year-end kouhaku show anymore. they sorta mentioned that after the kokuritsu event. prolly gonna do their own live event instead. i get the feeling they're gonna stop appearing in the music variety shows too (like music station).

and looks like they announced that they're gonna do a new years countdown live event. i read over a lot of the comments on their "graduation" from the kouhaku singing contest and everyone is saying they just didn't make the appearance list this year and should just come out and say that instead. whatever the reason, the kouhaku show has really lost its glamor and less people are watching it these days so not surprised artists/talent are deciding to not appear on the show.

NHK reduced the number of 48 groups this year from 4 to 3. Gotta make some room so they can invite as many middle-aged boy-bands as possible.
I'm glad Momoclo weren't invited. When they try to go broad appeal mainstream we get shit songs like Naitemo Iindayo. They are at their best when they experiment musically and mix genres, and they can't do that if they want to be liked by everyone.

More than making a joke, the management IS a joke. Considering that public impression is accounted for by NHK when taking in or rejecting Kouhaku candidates, I wouldn't be surprised if Stardust's near criminal handling of the helium incident earlier this year wasn't the cause of their exclusion.
