sexy af and I absolutely love how chinks deck their shit out in LEDs

A very notable example completed in '39, the "Daily Express Building" in Manchester (UK). Streamline moderne + glass facade, and you got yourself a winner.
>>54047399
It would feel wrong if I did 2bh, and I don't have any high quality OP images.
American state capital buildings are top tier
>>54047587
1935, High Point Flats, London (UK). Could easily pass as some generic suburban development today.
>>54047587
desu I always think about which one to post in the OP
we mostly have east asian metropolies here maybe time for some le ebin diversity?
>>54047915
where is this?
>>54047726
Two from my own cunt, 1933 and '34 respectively. These look pretty aged nowadays, but with some touching up, they'd probably look decent. Shape's already there, at least.

I kind of like Bangkok but it lacks recognizeability, iconic landmark towers and consistency
but it surely has some great historical architecture
>>54047688
American neoclassicism is excellent. I love it.
>>54047688
This is the Massachusetts's "New" Statehouse. It's the second oldest Capitol in the country in continuous use. New Mexico has the oldest.
>>54048028
I like it because its catching up to the other east asia skylines but its like the wild west.
>>54047960
1939, Johnson Wax Headquarters, somewhere in Wisconsin. Again, looks a bit dated today, but definitely way beyond what you'd expect from the 30's.

This is the Old State house. Finished in 1713, 6 years after the United Kingdom came into existence. It has the symbols of the English and Scottish monarchs as statues.
The New statehouse has only been in use since 1630.

Good, 80% of Koreans want to leave their country.
>>54048491
I'd accept every last one

you serious? people usually hate koreans
Harvard has some really nice buildings but the trees make them hard to photograph in one shot.
>>54048178
>The New statehouse has only been in use since 1630
Whoops, 1830, not 1630.
>>54048564
east asians are absolute bro tier. I have known several and they have all been great, if not kind of quiet. That being said Japs > Koreans
I fell in love with the recently finished ctf finance center in guangzhou. Such a nice tower.

It turned out pretty good, but still slightly worse than what was shown on its renders. The IFC tower next to it is still prettier imo.

It's interesting to see these cities where they have one big ass tower on a sea of small/medium buildings, more or less like in Taipei. Where is this?
>>54048918
Yes sometimes a lonely skyscraper can make up for a more futuristic view than a regular skyline.
It's new 555 meter tall (not yet finished) Lotte World Tower in Seoul, South Korea.
>>54048918
one might imagine the future of china cities would look like this
>>54049036
it won't look taht bad
>>54049036
I wouldn't be surprised. The ammount of skyscrapers China is building is incredible. A bit more than 10 years ago we finally saw a skyscraper surpass the 500 meters mark (the Taipei 101). If now we counted finished and already under construction buildings the Taipei 101 would be at the 20th place or lower and half of the new ones are in China. Also we will soon finally a building surpass the Km mark.
Well, we might not have big ass skyscrapers but we have other nice stuff.

Jelly of you all living in huge metropolises with skyscrapers as far as the eye can see. Living in a tiny city with only around 100k inhabitants sucks, yo.
>>54049553
I live in a 6k town
>>54049553
a lot of people would say large metropolies are horrible and they would prefer to live in some small comfy town
also im not living in any metropolis either

As a city dweller, I will never understand how you guys would live your daily lives which envies me from time to time. Over here (just like every other east asian cities), Its literally like a well-oiled machine straight from a conveyer belt. Everything sets in monotony, daily lives are restricted to blocky homes, "sardinated" mass transit and 40 story offices, everywhere you go its so densely populated loomed over by skyscrapers and flashy led advertising. Times i would wonder am i in control of my life or just simply another pawn in this megalomaniac city
Toronto inbound.
>>54049842
>Everything sets in monotony
That's how living everywhere looks like, that's how human life looks like.
But anyway yeah big cities can be really tiring - that's why you need to rest from time to time and go on some vacations.
>>54049842
Living in a small town probably has some advantages, but it's not for me. Streets are empty, shops are scarce, everything is far away, and too much money each month goes to transportation. I have nature at my doorstep, the sky is clear, and the air is clean, but I just like having life around me.
>>54049870
Wow, completely soulless. We need more Montreal.
>>54049967
>Streets are empty, shops are scarce, everything is far away
This holy shit small towns are so fucking depressing.
Frankfurt
>tfw detached houses on 1/4 acre land is considered "urban" and "highly dense" in your country
why live
>>54049842
I've never been in Asia so I can't tell, but I don't expect life to be very different. Maybe you have lower buildings around you, narrower streets or a bit less of traffic or polution, but I don't expect the daily life of someone living in a modern 500k city or a modern 20m city to be really different except for scenary.
>>54050128
>have a good sized house and a yard
What's not to like? Away from the overpopulated, polluted, busy city
> Times i would wonder am i in control of my life or just simply another pawn in this megalomaniac city
it depends, are you earning a lot of money or not?
>>54049870
From the south.
>>54050209
american style suburbs aren't really that perfect
lately urban planning like this is receiving a lot of critcism
>>54050209
because you have to get a car
Because exurbs cost more to maintain their utilities than what they bring in with land rates
