Papua New Guinea and non Anglo Pacific islands (Barring New Caledonia) aren't western. They're like our own version of Latin America.
Neither could a good proportion of the Carribean be considered Latin, especially not Jamaica, Bahamas and other British, French and Dutch colonies.
This map mixes religions and cultures too, "Buddhist civilization" is nowhere near as interconnected as Christendom was or the Islamic world by the religion. Not to mention Thailand practices a different branch to China etc. it's terrible. Poland and the Baltics are not Western countries, though the Baltics are becoming more westernized.
