Hello foreighnfag!

Let's take a trip to the magical world of Common Honey!

Common Honey is a collaborative language with a growing vocabulary and roughly a dozen speakers. It takes about an hour to start swearing and about a week to start swearing well in Common Honey.

ITT, let's see if it is useable as a pidgin (one of the reasons it was invented for), excercise in semantical deconstruction (that's another reason) and translate boardspeak in Common Honey!

It's for a story I'm writing. One of the characters is from South America and has a tendency to shout in SA Spanish now and again.

Due to your contribution, I'll make him Chilean. Thanks for the translation :)

No problem laddo. Also, depending on the type of truck the translation can be either "del camión" or "de la camioneta". Please look up these terms on google and pick the one that fits your context better.

The whole point of a logical language is that it has a formal grammar and that it rejects that which is not formalized.

I hear the morphology is supposed to be self-segregating but that doesn't look likely with the words and sentences people have been posting.

Ah, nevermind. I found it.

I don't think it will be realistic to have that. But if someone manages to do it, I salute them.

From Bear's summary
>Syntax
>
>- default OVS word order (probably variable if we have case marking)
>- relative clauses before their head nouns
>- auxiliary verbs after main verbs
>- adjectives after nouns
>- postpositions (for whatever we aren't marking with case, including
>some weird stuff that other languages mark with verbs)
>- several grammatical particles that introduce neologisms and their
>initial definitions, or words being used in new senses
>
>* Self-segmenting morphology
>* Agglutinating
>* Dependent marking
>* Case endings for oblique roles
>* Lots of applicatives
>* No noun classes
>* Minimal declension/conjugation classes
>* Minimal irregularity

Seems everyone is also ignoring case endings. Fun.

Actually literally the only time I would suggest learning some Esperanto to someone who is (I assume) not at all interested

a shit ton of BRs are into it for some reason, and Esperanto speakers love to host guests. You can 100% ignore this but I thought it was funny that this is a case where Eo might help, I seriously can't stop all the brazilians trying to be my friend and they happily teach me stuff from Portuguese
