Well, Slovene is spoken by about 2,5 million people in the world. The dialect I speak is from a dialect group, spoken by about 200 thousand people while I could say the variation of my dialect is spoken either by 12000. I could even say it's spoken by a thousand people since every village here has small differences in dialect.

There is someone from Isle of Man here, so he speaks the rarest language judging by the pic (Manx).
But Manx has no reason to be red, it should be yellow since there are some people speaking it, even if they are not native. And I'm quite sure an Irish or Scot could learn it easily since they are so related.

Slovene is still a major language on a worldwide scale, since most of languages in the world have less than a million speakers. On top of that, Slovenian is regulated and protected by our country which means it can hardly go instinct. Although it is a small language amongst official national languages of the world, that's true.

OP je vprašal za jezike, ki niso pogosti. Pri sedmih milijardah ljudi je 2,5 milijona ljudi kar malo. Je pa res, da nismo na ravni kakega Amazonskega plemena.

Avoid any language with grammatical cases. I had Latin in highschool, and it's like learning a Slavic language without being a native speaker.
Never understood the appeal, it's a dead language, if you want to learn something similar like Spanish, French or Italian.
Not like you can use Latin irl, unless your field of study is medicine, law or history.

Is basque a memelanguage?
>>52803904
Obwohl.. nicht Deutsch.
>>52803904
Let me be more specific, with complicated grammar cases, Slavic languages have 6-7, Latin has 6, German has 4 i believe, but for example English and Italian are almost devoid of them.
>>52803953
Yes.
Basque, Albanian, Finish, Estonian and Hungarian
>>52797347
>threatened
Like, chill out, man
>>52796579
I had Latin for 2 years in highschool ... i hated every second of it.
It is supposed to be easier when you are Slavic since we have cases too .... nope, just nope.
Thanks to this experience, I have a huge respect for anyone learning language with grammar cases. Kudos to all of you
