Should British people start speaking English in an American accent?
>American accent
Which one? We're not as diversified in terms of accents, but we have a pretty wide selection anyway.

I'd prefer vice versa.
It is the correct version.

America bros can you tell me about the life in the US? I'm curious about your everyday life.
When do you wake up?
What do you usually eat for breakfast?
How many working hours and holidays?
What are you doing on weekends?
Is it boring sometimes?
Do americans like to travel to other cities or places in the US?
Do you sit in the garden on warm summer evenings?
How is clubbing?
Are there many supermarkets, shops and restaurants in the near?
What do you miss in the US?
Are neighbours friendly?
...
I'm happy to hear anything about you.
>>57794944
the nicer places of america are shockingly similar to western germany actually
>>57794944
>When do you wake up?
4 pm on work weeks, 6 am on off week
>What do you usually eat for breakfast?
cereal most days, sometimes eggs/sausage/etc
>How many working hours and holidays?
week on/week off schedule, 12 hour days, work has 10 paid holidays and I have 20 days of time I can use whenever
What are you doing on weekends?
4chan or video games
Is it boring sometimes?
yes
Do americans like to travel to other cities or places in the US?
I like going to colorado for skiing vacations
Do you sit in the garden on warm summer evenings?
no I hate warm weather
How is clubbing?
idk
Are there many supermarkets, shops and restaurants in the near?
yes there is a big mall and then a bunch of restaurants and other stores around me, 3 min drive
What do you miss in the US?
the days before social media
Are neighbours friendly?
mostly keep to themselves, my parents have really friendly neighbors but they live in a smaller, wealthy town
>>57794944
>when do you wake up
7:00, out by 7:30 or get caught in traffic
>What do you usually eat for breakfast?
Cereal, milk, eggs, toast
>How many working hours and holidays?
40 hour work weeks, get Christmas off.
>What are you doing on weekends?
Personal stuff
>Is it boring sometimes?
Yes.
>Do americans like to travel to other cities or places in the US?
Depends on who you are. For me, it's a chance to have a bit of change every once in a while.
>Do you sit in the garden on warm summer evenings?
Usually on my poor eating habits as to be the reason I'm suffering when it's hot and humid.
Otherwise yes.
>How is clubbing?
Book, I like book.
>Are there many supermarkets, shops and restaurants in the near?
Yes. Usually near parkways or the center of a town.
>What do you miss in the US?
Less laws, less paranoia, better economy, less taxes, less inflation, more buy value.
>Are neighbours friendly?
Luck of the draw. Usually yes.
Basically, it's a nice, calm life here, but nothing of any real substance occurs here.
I guess I shouldn't complain. I got a home, food, water, entertainment, my books. It's comfortable, and it's a dream, but doesn't it suck to have the same dream over and over again?
Do any of you non Anglos actually use English outside of Internet/vidya?
I haven't uttered a complete sentence in English in over a decade.
I do, mostly because of work.
nope, why would I? I don't live in an English speaking country.
Lets go for a quick ride.
I only have 3 hours, so we may not be able to finish it.

Hey /int/
This board seems to be a mix between /b/ and /pol/ so hopefully this won't be too out of place.
I've got a Romanian SKS and there seems to be an "LK" carved into the stock. I asked on /k/ what it could mean, thinking it's initials or abbreviation for something in Romanian. One anon said this:
">Romanian SKS
>"LK" marking
actually Anon, these markings show that this rifle (or at least the stock) is a rare Soviet firing port-version of the SKS designed for use in the "Лyнный кopaбль" capsule. Very rare find you have there, good luck with it"
And he hasn't replied back since. I googled it and it's got something to do with space landing craft as far as I can tell. Now I'm not saying this is bullshit, but it seems like it from my POV since if it's a Russian carving why is the "L" not "Л"?. Can any Russians or Romanians elaborate on this? Or someone who knows what it means? I don't speak Russian, I'm learning, but can't speak very much yet, google translate spit out gibberish on the few sites that had related info.
>6 KB, 250x140

its an old shitty gun that was owned by a guy with the intials "LK"
its has never been in romania but has sat in the guy you bought it off craigslists hunting cabin for 20 years.
It seems that the West, as a cultural, political, and economic region, has been slowly expanding from the time of Charlemagne until the present.
I'd argue that the West has three segments.
>The inarguable "Core West" of continental Catholic Europe.
>The heavily European "Buffer West" of European states almost identical to the core in culture, values, and economics
>The "Expansion West", of colonial states whose cultures are mostly defined by Western influence
>The "New West" of states who became culturally, politically, and economically Western after WW2
Will the West expand any further?
>>57794109
>>The "Expansion West", of colonial states whose cultures are mostly defined by Western influence
Wut? How are colonial?
This is completely non-sensical
the west is countries whose core values are based on enlightenment ideals

>ANKARA, Turkey — Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey will formally launch the Turkish Space Agency within the next three months.
>The agency will be tasked with coordinating all of Turkey’s space and aerospace programs and will be located in Kazan, a township near Ankara.
>A procurement official familiar with the effort said the space agency's basic work will concentrate on satellite technology, satellite launching systems, space stations and deep space research.
>Ankara has drafted a will for the Turkish Space Agency that will head to the cabinet for approval before being debated by Parliament.
>Transport Minister Binali Yildirim said the governmental effort for the agency was the joint work of the Turkish military General Staff, Defense Ministry, and the Science, Industry and Technology Ministry.
>“We have studied similar legal framework in the United States (NASA’s), Japan, Germany and France. Our legal framework will be special to Turkey’s needs,” Minister Yildirim said.
>Turkey also is working on plans to build a satellite-launching station. The procurement official said Datca, on Turkey’s southwestern coast, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a breakaway Turkish state recognized only by Turkey, are two potential locations for the station.
