It feels off because the perspecitve is too distorted and your figures don't adhere to the chosen perspective. Study perspective. Then composition because this is boring, especially for a comic panel.

The characters have white aura around them
The characters don't cast shadows so they look like they're floating in the air
Shadowing doesn't make sense, it's all over the place
It looks extremely dull and flat

i can't speak anything to his skill, technique, or development. don't know enough for that. but he started an art movement, influenced a lot of future artists, and lots of people liked his art.

when you mention tools and hosting, i assume you mean more than just the actual art that goes in the portfolio. so i will talk about both.
a good portfolio can be on a website; the website itself should follow the "magazine rule" where the top 50% of the website has all the relevant details - some examples of your art, statement or title of what you do, etc. this is so when people open your page, they immediately see what they need to do, and minimize risk of closing your portfolio prematurely. it should be simple and easy to navigate. also, it should not contain...

Anyone here draw using tablets or touch displays?
I've had a Wacom Cintiq 13HD for a few years now and it works great. I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 10 and now it barely works at all. Even after updating the driver and reinstalling the software, my computer isn't able to pick up both my main screen and the Cintiq at the same time and I'm having a slew of resolution issues with my main screen being scrunched if it's plugged in.
Does anyone else have this problem or know a fix?
I'm using 13HD with Win 10 too, works pretty good overall, but sometimes the it wont regocnise the pen. I just close and open Cintiq again, so it works again.
What computer you have?
My computer was custom built maybe half a year ago using slightly above average parts.
Not exactly sure what type of info you need.
I've seen plenty of people making similar complaints with regards to Windows 10 and Wacom drawing tablets. You might wanna try googling for results there too.

Well it sounds like you don't even know what to do yet, at this point I would suggest looking at different styles and find one that suits your tastes, personalize it, and apply it to what you want to do art is wayyyyyy too broad to say you just want a solid understanding. What do you want to do

Hey, /ic/. Gimme some guidance here. I'm a 20-year-old CS major and I fucking hate it. I'd really rather work in art, and I feel like I'm entering into some self-fulfilling prophecy here by studying CS in case "art doesn't work out". Youll be bouncing back and forth for a while and thats normal. Your motives behind each path need to be pretty clear tho tbh.
My only advice is do one or the other but choose now.

I do cs for a living, and draw art for a hobby. I doubt I'll ever be a professional artist but I'm good enough to be happy with it.
The great thing about CS is that you can find a 9-5 job meaning you have LOTS of free time and LOTS of extra cash thanks to your high paying CS job.

It's that I find CS particularly hard or anything, it's just I don't get off to the idea of open-source, and I don't spend my Friday nights debugging and jerking off to like, breadth first search.
