My Shield tablet is dying so I am looking for a replacement. I am interested in the Chuwi Hi8 Pro but I am worried about the negative reviews I have seen. I am also interested in the Redmi Note 2, but the price being double my first option is putting me off somewhat. Is the difference in build quality between the two devices worth the extra coin? I am aware that this is something of an apples to oranges comparison but I consider any extra money spent to be worth it if the device's lifespan would improve.

Okay, here is a guide of how to prevent Firefox and Chrome from killing your KingMeme SSD:
Today I just realized that my KingMeme had 700GB written on just 7 fucking days! I had optimized my system for a SSD but never took into account how heavy on writes internet browsers were until today, but I have fix so don't worry, if you do this you will go from Image A (1000MB of writes in 6min) to image B (10MB of writes in 5min), that's 100 times lower!
First Chrome:
I just moved the cache folder using a shortcut after creating before hand the folder Cache and Chrome on my HDD:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --user-data-dir="D:\Cache\Chrome
Pretty easy, no profiles were fucked by doing this.
Now Firefox:
Type on your browser: "about:support" and then click [Show Folder] on the page that loaded, you can now close Firefox.
Now copy the folder than opened when you clicked [Show Folder] to the HDD location of your selection example: "D:\Cache\Firefox"
Now click on your Winblows startup and type: "%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\" on the folder that opens, make a backup of your profiles.ini, and edit the original with the following info:
Change 1 to 0 on "IsRelative=0"
Add the path of your new folder on the corresponding line, example "D:\Cache\Firefox\ProfileofPonylover2000", save the file and you're done.
Incredible how much Chrome and Firefox wear-down SSDs while just idling.
If you don't have a HDD, then you're fucked, I guess you could use a Shark but it could result on poor performance of your browsers.

Wall adapter doesnt have holes in prongs for US outlets to make better contact but it didnt explode after charging for an hour.

two of those drivers are "passive radiators", they are speakers but without magnets (they are not driven electrically). They act similarly to a port - they lower the tuning of the enclosure so that it can produce deeper bass.
Google "passive radiator" if you want to learn more. They are very common nowadays as they allow you to get a deep* sound even in a small box that is not deep enough for a conventional port.

Zircons are the current meme, huge bass hump if you like that kind of thing, a little difficult to get a good seal with big ears but no real flaws.
Pistons are pretty good for a more balanced tone, still have a bit of a bass hump. It's an older meme.
KZ ATE S are great if you want good isolation + bass in an IEM that stays put very well due to the memory wire. "KZ ATE" is the same earphone but with an inline mic and no memory wire, I don't like this version as well.
I'm the anon that was originally shilling the ED4s, with more time with them I actually like the Zircons better for nigbass (Zircons have better clarity), but ED4s still have their place since they're $5 vs the $12 for the Zircons.
ED3 is also pretty good, slightly tighter, milder signature than the ED4.
Other people like the ED9 s but I found them harsh, sibiliant, and difficult to get a good seal on, as well as poor isolation. I've tried to get into them multiple times, but I just rip them out of my ears in disgust after 30 seconds.
You can find Piston 1 (copies?) for $0.99 which are surprisingly listenable (plastic, marked "Mi" on the back of each IEM). They're a little midsy and sound like shit if you A/B them with anything good on my list, but they're still a vast improvement over the typical pack-in buds that come with cheap mp3 players etc. I give them away to little cousins etc who I know won't appreciate or take care of "nicer" stuff.

non-S user here, you really do not need the memory wire. The non-s have small golden weights attached to the cable that pull the cable down behind your ears. much more comfortable than a fat memory wire. i use them for running. never had any problems.

Here is my usb endoscope from ebay. Got it from a auction for $5.50. You can download the software from here where I googled it from http://www.oasisscientific.com/downloads.html
Or you can download any app from the android play store. Just search endoscope. The app doesn't sync well with the camera and it always freezes for a few seconds for some reason on a Redmi Note 3 Pro.
The focus is blurry when I put it in my ear canals. It's okay. There's 6 led lights with my endoscope and it gets pretty warm and hot when you put it inside your ears. The button on the cord works on both android and in the computer software to capture images but reminder to set your capture location first.
The hook and magnet attachments have to be sticky taped because the circle barrel slides off easily. The mirror threaded attachment is blurry.
Last and not least the mini cd you get with it is all in Chinese and you don't need to use it!
