A quick comparison between my Zircons and ATEs, and I see the ATEs as a clear step down from the Zircons. The bass is less powerful and no clearer, the treble is more muted and much less sparkly, and the soundstage seems a lot narrower. I think the real question might be between the Pistons and Zircons.

ATE-S are mostly about having great fit, isolation, and no annoying mic flopping around, that happens to also have pretty good sound. (IMO there's literally no reason to buy the ATE non-s version).
The zircons have much more bass and sub-bass (way, WAY far from flat), and have a spike at ~6k, whereas the ATE-S have a bit less bass boost, and have a big notch that covers most of the 5-10k region.
Some anons have posted that they found the zircons "harsh", meaning they probably found said 6k spike objectionable. Those anons would probably like the ATE sound signature better.
The Zircons are my current favorite for listening around the house/stationary (where fit, cord microphonics, and microphone annoyance is less), but I still wear my ATE-S when at work or working out.

I have to agree with this anon. I thought my ATEs had plenty of bass without sounding overly boosted like Beats or the like. And I listen to a lot of bass heavy music. It's all preference really, but ATEs have a fairly balanced sound and are extremely comfy, IMO.

My problem with wifi drivers was with getting the build dependences installed to build the driver.
I have a wifi dongle coming in the mail, so I should be able to get all to the drivers working when I use that.
