>>54439022
I've only had it for a few hours, just using it for general fitness and sleep tracking. wanted to give something cheaper a shot before I tried more expensive GPS options. it's surprisingly well made and looks nice imo. only down side so far is I had to give my phone number to register to use their "Mi Fit" app which is bullshit. can't speak on the accuracy of the tracker.
>>54438771
probably not. You can use this to transmit music to bluetooth speakers or bluetooth headsets.
you probably want a Bluetooth receiver.
>>54438651

>>54439059
Will get one in the mail soon, apparently it's send by postNL, incidentally I live in the Netherlands so i'll probably get it early next week.
>>54439059
this was previous gen models, cherry trail ones i believe no longer have this issue. If it says it can dual boot you should be good.
>>54438651
Breddy gud, really needs another resize though, it's still pretty big.
>>54439022
I've owned it for months
Battery life is amazing, it goes about a month or two without needing a charge, and charges in about 15-30 mins
Step counter is accurate, sleep tracker is a meme, but if you do a lot with your hands it can be inaccurate (e.g. you work in a Bakery like i used to, lots of standing in one spot doing repetitive motion which it counts as steps)
>>54439235

does anybody know how to order butane lighters to the eu? they always seem to say only in the cart that it cannot be shipped
any experience? i'd love a small metal butane torch lighter
>>54440921
I ordered two from DX to Finland and they shipped with no problems.
Are you guys interested in quadcopter reviews? I got one coming from banggood within 20 business days.
>>54440943
ah cool, aliexpress is giving me issues
>>54439042
No I just happen to like the gold very much thank you
>>54440921
I have ordered two under 3 dollar butane torches, they both broke the same day I got them. Total shit.
Redmi Note 3 Pro really can't into night shots. Only downfall I've seen of this phone.
>>54440960
What quadcopter you got coming? I have a JJRC H22 from Gearbest on the way, already own a JJRC H8C and a Tarantula No. 1505 ( pic related.)
>>54441063
To be honest most phones are pretty shit in low-light environments.
>>54441063
Yeah camera is shit. That's why I ordered redmi 3 pro instead
>>54441063
On another note I got the $22 "mechanical feel" 3 color LED keyboard:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Mechanical-Feel-Gaming-Keyboard-Pro-Gaming-Gamer-USB-Wired-Mechanical-Keyboard-Floating-3-Color-Backlit-LED/1761394_32551656081.html
It feels weird, it's louder than most keyboards but the keys all feel slightly "wobbly". It's spillproof and weed I spill into the keyboard is easily removed, so it's a good buy for me.
>>54441022
Kek you must be muslim
>>54441101
>keyboard that was made to make fake mechanical noises
lol, the mech keyboard hype has gone too far
>>54441072
Cheerson CX10. The Cheerson CX10A is said to be slower.
I also have a Hubsan X4 (one motor is dying and I cannot get the screw out), WLToys V911 and a Feilun FX071C all from Banggood.
>>54441124
I didn't care about the feel that's why I bought it. Everything else in my living room has LEDs and is chink shit so why not get a keyboard that will save me weed.
>>54440757
I'm taking about the smart lamp. I'm sure it was a fun project, but surely you can buy something with more functionality for less money. I don't receive many calls so I don't know about that problem. I didn't have problems those few times people called me on my RN3P.
>>54441022
I thought I'd hate the gold color, because they didn't have the silver version with the snapdragon processor. I didn't want to wait so I got this one and I'm satisfied.
>>54441110
From Persian descent, but not muslim.

>>54441133
Cheerson CX10 are fun little dinky indoor flyers.

I'm looking for a soldering iron around 30w for electronics. The wiki suggests A-BF GS60 and GS90 soldering irons, but they seem to be no longer available.
Any recommendations for a 30w soldering iron (no need for a station).?
>>54441454
Better to buy one that has more reviews.
You could also get a $12 64gb shark and stuff it into a 3.0 reader
Did someone try MK-F100TL microphone? It looks like BM800 but comes with a usb AND a 3.5mm jack on the cable.
This one is really appealing to me because I don't have an external audio interface/mixer so I don't have phantom power for BM800/BM700.
>>54438398
One anon a few threads ago bought four corncob LEDs and shoved them in a single light fitting which I think he also bought from China. If he doesn't post back soon I think it's safe to assume that they burned down his house with him and his dog in it.
>>54441101
>>54441137
why do you spill weed in your kb??
Do the chinks sell any legit thermal grease, or is it all just toxic metal waste and motor oil?
>>54441797
That's not even expensive if you're that cheap just use mayonnaise
>>54440833
would be nice since I love the "format SDcard to internal memory" function is MM, its le best.
I think I'll charge it once it hits 10%
>>54441797
From what i've heard, some perform better than the russian KPT-8 multi-purpose thermal grease. So I'd say if you can find the right one, go for it. I ordered some off aliexpress and i'm waiting for it right now for my laptop, when i get it ill post it here but it will be a few weeks
>>54441828
what rom are you using?
on my RN3 I used to have those kind of SoT until I got a bugged update
>>54441833
I've used inexpensive grease I got off eBay and it works alright. Decreased temps on my asus r7 260x, but increased temps a tiny bit on my gigabyte HD5770.
Very worth it for the price. 5 syringes for under 2 aud. Going to order a 30g tube when I run out.
I ordered the white paste in case you're wondering, 5 1g tubes.
>>54441727
Found these too, the USB would serve as its phantom power in that case.
Thing is everyone already has tested both BM-800 and 8000s, so it could be a bit of a gamble with these.
http://www.gearbest.com/speakers/pp_251207.html
http://www.gearbest.com/microphone/pp_341985.html
I've heard the 800/8000 work fine without phantom power though.
>>54441797
There was a webm posted of chink thermal paste some threads ago and it came out very runny.
>>54441814
you can use the same argument towards every chink shit product
but why pay 5 dollaroos for brand name grease, when you can get chink grease for 0.5 dollars
>>54439059
It has a pretty retarded bug on android, when it enters deep sleep mode it doesn't wake , and you have to force restart it.
win 10 didn't have issues other than chugging bazillion updates and killing internet connection speed for everyone else on the said network.
>>54441266
V911: great heli for the money. Fast and nimble. Like any small flybar heli, it cannot handle wind very well.
FX071C: it's a Blade SR clone (the one without the flybar). Battery lasts for 10 minutes at expert rate. That's pretty stunning for a stock battery. The gyro does its job. It handles a small breeze. For some reason the binding process takes really long, 2-3 minutes as of recently.
>>54441881
Just the one it shipped with, MIUI 77.1
>>54441967
Just pick one at random and give us some benchmarks then
Should I get a VOYO V3 or an ODROID-XU4??
>>54440386
That could've been done a lot nicer by using the following:
>ESP8266 (1$)
>110/220 to 3.3v power supply unit (2$)
>Single channel relay, solid state relay or even a triac (1$)
That way you could even hide it in the base of your lamp.
>>54441238
same, thought I'd hate the gold version since the silver & black ones were the 2/16 variant and I really wanted that +1G of RAM because MIUI is a bit heavy so the only 3/32 one they had was in gold, so I bit the bullet and I don't regret it, I actually get a lot of questions and people really like this phone, a friend of mine even got one after seeing mine.
>>54441814
Don't do this.
Mayonnaise would work great for a couple days, then not at all.
>>54442138
This.
No paste would be better than mayonnaise. Mayonnaise wouldn't even last 12 hours
Does epacket track orders right to my door or just till it left the country? Looking at these raybans to purchase.
>>54442347
From my experience only works in China
I used toothpaste for a couple years back on my old PII.
Admittedly it never got too hot but it wouldn't work without the toothpaste so it must have been doing some good.
I just ordered a redmi note 3 pro 3/32 from gearbest. I hope it'll have a good journey to France and be polite to customs.
Just received a 10000mah power bank from xiaomi and I am impressed with the quality for the price
can anyone recommend a cheap bluetooth mp3 player thats tiny that I can take running? Thanks.
>>54442148
According to this pic, only butter and toothpaste change significantly in 12 hours, mayonnaise is better than most thermal pastes.
Hey 4chan.
I need a cheap wi-fi repeater for my dorm what does /csg/ recommend?
The source signal should be across a ~50m courtyard. so I guess the repeater has to be pretty strong. BTW I thinking of placing the repeater about 1/3 of the way between the source and me.

other mi band owner here, the other anon called the sleep tracker a meme but i've been using my mi band for about 6 months now and I really like the sleep tracker and the early bird alarm ( where it wakes you up when you go out of deep sleep and into light sleep), for me its helped a lot in the mornings. I still need a normal alarm because its too easy to turn off the mi alarm whilst sleeping but it makes it so im sleeping very light when it goes off making getting out of bed a lot easier.

What's the difference between the Redmi Note 3 Pro and Prime?
>>54443904
Nothing. Xiaomi has never given an 'official' name for the Snapdragon version.
The original Redmi Note 3 had a Mediatek X10 processor but now they've pretty much replaced it with a Snapdragon 650 processor.

They are supposed to be very similar.
I own the iwork10, however i didn't use it much so far.
Keep in mind it's a little heavier than you'd want (but it has a better battery), and it kinda sucks not having full sized ports unlike the chuwi.
I'm hoping to buy an active stylus for it (it's not really determined how good the stylus is), but if you don't need that, I'd go for the hibook at this point when it goes on sale.
>>54444196
That it did >>54438651
>>54444244
thats the thing though the hibook doesnt have the full size usb ports like the hi10. did you get the keyboard also?
>>54444292
Didn't know about the ports. Well, type-c is supposed to be future, it'll probably be useful down the road.
About the keyboard, I'm not sure yet if I really need it, since ideally I'll write stuff on it using the stylus and won't need physical keys for regular use (although right now when I install stuff and test functionality, I do miss having a keyboard and a few extra USB ports). So it really depends on your intended use.
Another interesting point is that there may be licensing issues with the iwork10, if you care about that. The batch I got (which was really cheap) came with an obviously pirated W10 pro (MAK key), but for now it works. Perhaps the fixed it in newer batches.

Out of the 4 units I've had with shoulder problems, I was able to resurrect 1 of them by cleaning with "contact cleaner" solution (deoxidizer).
Do you have experience connecting and disconnecting ribbon cables? That tends to be the hardest part of dealing with SP's and DSL's (at least, until you get to top screen repairs where you have to thread that fucking shit through the hinge).
You can try picking up some broken/damaged screen donor consoles to use for motherboard swaps, just make sure to ask the seller if the shoulder buttons work before you bid. Unfortunately the shoulder buttons are a very common failure point (hence why from the dsi onwards they've been on their own little daughter boards with connectors).
I actually "cut my teeth" so to speak with SP and DSL repairs, so if you think you want to get into electronics repair they're a great place to start. Everything pretty much goes together with screws (not fucking piece of shit glue + plastic shit like modern smartphones), and donor consoles or spare parts are cheap. All you really need is a $25 iFixit screwdriver set, a handful of plastic spudgers, and eBay and iFixit.

Nah I post that for the few people who don't know about it but I'm always wasting my time, Flashcart shits are unsavable and don't really want to ever play any games again because they're protecting their nostalgia.
Knew a loser like this IRL and it was for Earthbound, it always is. Had all the 64, SNES, NES etc everything roms on my laptop and everyone was having a blast.

>They aren't also nintendo doesn't care also even if it was you personally wouldn't get in trouble soooo..
>"N-no thanks it probably wouldn't be the same anyway bye"
>stays in corner watching us the entire time
The reason why they have to pretend to want the flashcart or the original hardware is because they want to burn out and get high on their nostalgia forever and remember it the way they want to. How do you solve the problem of being so easily possible to re-play your old games with all this modern tech?
>emulators are shit!
>...Gotta have a flashcart
>Here's tonnes of them!
>Oh you don't understand I have to have this one particular flashcart that I'll never allow myself to get
>...I need the original cart but they're too much online now (due to shits like me driving the price up with hipsterism) so I won't allow myself to have it because hey I'm not spending $800 for it

I think my issue is purely physical...
During the timeframe that I used the units regularly (read: childhood/early teens, also after getting an R4 for my DS), the NDSL and GBASP both fell and bonked their shoulder buttons onto a hard surface... unfortunately wearing out the shoulder registers with prolonged use.
I do have a bit of ribbon cable experience, but I'm really not interested in swapping a whole mainboard just for shoulder buttons. I'd much rather just deal with soldering and such to get them fixed. Issue right now is simply to get a trigram screw bit/driver, which is a little tough since I want a good kit at a reasonable price.
The iFixit kit is good, but wayyy overpriced for what you get, compared to other kits with the same bits, but at much more acceptable prices.
Additionally, in the event that you're referring to swapping the screen for some reason to fix shoulders, this guide: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nintendo+DS+Lite+Trigger+Buttons+Replacement/4757
has nothing related, but I assume you just mean screen swaps in general.

can you even trade pogeymans from a real cart to a flashcart
>>54449017
Sorry, I guess I meant original UNIT hardware, as in, the NDSL vs and Android using a touchscreen, or on my desktop at home, versus being out and playing it; additionally, out at a friends and trading pokemon or whatever there.
Yes, you can trade from a flashcart (Eg. R4) to a legit cart. Flashcarts, for NDS as an example, work in that they try to emulate being a real one, otherwise you wouldn't be able to run ROMs and such. I've done it before, trading between Pearl on an R4 with my legit Diamond cart, just for fun. Works fine.

There's a bright orange kit floating around out there, almost an exact copy of the iFixit kit for like $12-15 or so. Just uses thinner, cheaper plastic for the insert, and the molded rubber things that hold the bits don't have the bit labels printed on them.
I've tried some of the cheaper $5-10 dollar kits, and they have really shitty quality bits. In particular, the small torx bits were unusable as some of the ridges were stuck together (only machined 5 out of the 6 cuts necessary for hex-lobe).
Swapping a mainboard is slightly more expensive, but much less hassle than soldering, believe me. That shitty iron you have there is not going to cut it for desoldering, you're going to just end up ripping the pads off, m8.
Desoldering things is actually much harder than soldering them on in the first place.
>>54449422
Basically? I did it with legit pokeymans from one to the other. I didn't save either, on my Diamond, if I remember correctly, just because I felt like I was cheating (I was young, keep that in mind).
I'm pretty sure that's what people do now anyway, or at least, modify saves and trade to legits, or whatever the fuck the trading system is now.
>>54449436
I'm honestly tempted to just buy a whole new used unit, desu, but I'd really prefer to try and avoid mainboard swapping, albeit you're making it sound like it's much more worth it compared to fucking with soldering...
Any idea how hard it is for GBASP? Same situation, or different? In the case of that unit, I'm tempted to find another used.
>>54449634
Mainboard swaps are easy, it's just like 5 or 6 cables that you need to disconnect (and optionally reconnect) on each unit. There's usually one cable that's kind of a pain in the ass to connect (top screen cable is annoying on both SP and DSL), other than that it's just a matter of keeping track of the screws for each step.
The most challenging parts of these repairs are connecting the top screen cable (required for motherboard swaps and top screen replacements), and threading the top screen cable through the hinge (required for top screen replacements).
SP Motherboards are literally $10 on ebay (just know ahead of time if you have an AGS-001 or AGS-101), I can't imagine they're much more for DSL.
