Ghostleeching is downloading files without taking a ratio hit (No Upload/Download Reported). You have to use a different IP for the actual downloading. Here is how it works:
1. You grab a torrent.
2. You Pause the torrent or severely limit the download speed
3. Write down all peers (IP and Port)
+++++++
On a different IP:
4. Add the torrent to your client
5. Remove the tracker (which has your passkey and identifying information)
6. Add the Peers and you are good to go!
You will now download torrents without being a member of the tracker
Note 1:
Due to DHT you can't "Add Peers" to Private torrents. You can either use a modified client (utorrent serenity) or Google "utorrent dht patcher" to remove the private flag and enable DHT
Note 2:
It looks suspicious if you add torrents, but dont complete them. So keep track of your IPs/peers and you will find some that are either "Archivers" or auto-snatch new shit. I add those by default.
Note 3:
This is a good method for "cross-seeding" Golden Popcorn torrents. Not a good method for obscure content

If your IRC friend is on a /good/ tracker and you are not. Just ask him for:
a) the torrent infohash (eg: c12fe1c06bba254a9dc9f519b335aa7c1367a88a&dn)
b) an ip address:port of a seedbox user
Convert the infohash to a magnet link:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:INFOHASH

add that magnet link into your torrent client of choice and add the Peer using the given ip address:port

I'm not a staffer but I'd check A's history of filesharing if this has happened before with similar coincidence of upload/dl mismatch and how many things are in the torrent and calculate the relative % if it's similar to a combo of files.
In the case of B mratio should be slightly variable but within a range. Any time a recorded leecher hops on and B's speed doesn't improve in the presence or doesn't decrease is suspicious as well as weird client IDs.
They know that a cheater exists they just don't know who it is. So the more times the mismatch appears the further they can isolate the source.

You can delete YOUR copy of the tracker but the guy who's uploading to you is still reporting you to the admins. Just because you delete your copy of the email, it doesn't mean the person who received it has lost theirs or the guy providing the service. The admins rely on all the people playing fair to identify the cheater for them, very clever if you ask me.
In the case of mratio there is excess upload compared to download. In the case of ghost leeching there is excess download compared to upload. If there are multiple cheaters there is no guarantee that their stats are compensating for each other.
At least I'm not risking my account. The only time that would be even half safe is during free leech, but remember upload = download! It's the herd size keeping you safe, but oh boy is monitoring a herd of 5000 significantly smaller than 170,000. It's like playing with cheat engine, where each scan significantly diminishes the possible game variables? you should be able to narrow down the cheaters pretty fast because each swarm will have different people.
