The GP system is good, I agree with that, however first off, GPs are very slow to be picked. Not every movie has a GP as the uploader has to submit their torrent by themselves to be reviewed for GP eligibility, and has to ensure that their torrent is of good quality (encode, x264 settings, source, comparison screens, everything that makes a GP what it is).
Second, once a GP is picked it doesn't always get updated when a new source appears.. Sometimes they do but not always. When there is a better encode with a new source, or a new encode with hybrid source not always does it become the new GP for a movie, which means less people will snatch it and seed it.
