>>51377960
just download them to different locations and organize shit manually, most torrent clients can keep up with shit if you rename/move stuff while the torrent client is running

Hold me /pyramid/
What client can manage 40,000 torrents?
>>51378566
None of them can. There are no torrent clients written that scale that high up without shitting themselves.
rtorrent comes closest (I've seen people claim 10k), followed by transmisison(~5k), then a power gap, then probably utorrent.

>>51379399
It's weird actually, first 800 I did all at once and went fine but then I threw 100 more and it's throwing a tantrum. Also ruTorrent is failing to show trackers on the left now unless I click on each individual torrent so it recognises them.
>>51379453
write a script fa.m to move torrents from a folder to your rtorrent watch folder one by one but with a 1 minute delay between each one. I started 500 torrents like this on my shitty server
>>51380193
It's working now. ruTorrent is being frustrating and a little messed up though. The tracker category is now blank, it won't load the information. Guess it got overloaded.
>>51378611
I've seen rtorrent do 18k.
Note: rtorrent, NOT rutorrent. rutorrent struggles with 3k.

>>51379453
Close rutorrent and add them with your watch folder 100 at a time.
>>51381001
I used watch folder to add them originally. Like I said they're all in now, working 100% fine on rTorrent's end. ruTorrent is just throwing a tantrum that it has too many to deal with now or something.

>How do I get into BroadcasTheNet (BTN)?
>A5
>BTN recruits from AwesomeHD, bibliotik, PTP, and what.cd. AHD/bib/PTP threads are in the POWER USER INVITE FORUM, the WCD thread is in the ELITE FORUM. All of them require SIX MONTH OLD ACCOUNTS. THere is NO EXCEPTION to this, period. There is no orhwe way to get into BTN unless you personally know a staff member, and if you do you're already in BTN. So let's recap: If you want to get into BTN you need to be PU on AHD, bibliotik, and PTP or be elite on WCD. And you need to WAIT SIX MONTHS. So take the fucking interview.
>>51381268
Perhaps you need comprehension lessons. That is talking about getting INTO BTN from several trackers AHD included. It is not talking about getting into AHD.
>>51381285
That's not what your post implied at all, and my answer to you is to still RTFPB
>>51381307
Well to clarify my post was about getting into AHD from What, not getting into BTN from AHD. And the pastebin mentions no wait time which is why I was asking for anyone who knows or can access the PU forums to check.
>>51381307
There is no wait time. BTN is a special case, 99% of all recruitment threads have no wait time.

Alright dudes, here's the deal.
I've got a server running transmission-daemon with a little over a thousand torrents and growing and it's starting to lag from all the torrents. Is rTorrent really better for thousands of torrents and if so is there any easy way to migrate all my torrents from transmission-daemon to rTorrent while preserving stuff like state and seed limits, and are there any good rTorrent clients for Windows?

rtorrent handles 10k easily. Rutorrent, it's graphical client, only does around 2000k well.
You should just use rtorrent/rtorrentextended/pyroscope or multiple instances of transmission

it's just a limit of the program, it's threading and how it grabs info from rtorrent, it's just doesn't scale well enough to handle that many.

Autosnatching with a seedbox.

Personally I would take the interview ASAP, the older you account is the better.
>>51387675
That's what I thought, I will surely login every day but I'm afraid of inactivity/no-use rules (my first serious private tracker)
>>51387682
What.CD regularly runs scripts to disable users who have not used their accounts for four (4) months. There is no functionality to "park" an account; all that is needed to avoid being disabled for inactivity is to browse one page while logged in to the site. Users who cannot or choose not to do this are disabled automatically. If being away for more than four months is unavoidable, you must either become a Power User (or higher) or donate, as either one of these will make you immune to inactivity disabling.
A new invitee that confirms his or her account will have one week to log in for the first time before that account is disabled for inactivity.
>>51387682
It's not that strict, you don't have to login daily. Just put it on your startpage and login every few weeks or so. Read the rules for the exact requirements.
But join now and add any freeleech to start getting some buffer for when you do use it, and check here later this month and early next month for the staff picks if there are any (very likely will be)

Probably not.
Any 2015 flacs will automatically have 10 seedbox seeders. So you will never make ratio off them unless like another 50 people download after you so thats out the window.
Ive had some luck grabbing some stuff that doesnt have any auto snatchers and the initial uploader has a slow connection. Then when someone else downloads at least for the first one you get most the upload.
In general its a bit of a curry tracker where people are encouraged to upload anything and everything which dilutes both the overall quality of content and the available upload.

I'm thinking of getting into Waffles, TehConnection, AnimeBytes and Bibliotik.
Which of these are hard to maintain a ratio on?
Also, do they prune you for inactivity?
So do btn/ahd/ptp (or whatever the good ones are) have any quality control? Some of the trackers i'm on now have like 12 torrents for one movie/show varying in quality, or they're really similar. I mean what is the purpose of that?
>>51388123
Yes they have intense quality control.
If you would like an example just ask me to look for something.

It takes a little bit of learning to work out what makes a good encode and which sources don't compress well but in general:

And BTN's P2P encodes and caps usually come from HDBits or are internal so = good.

Are private trackers real? Or is this an elaborate plan by the authorities to eventually lock us up forever, one day?
Just think about it. All of the private trackers store every single bit of data.
Peer IPs, peer upload, peer download, snatchlist, seeding list, total uploaded, total downloaded, top users by amount seeding, top users by data uploaded, top users by data downloaded, every single forum post, username history, etc
Will I eventually get c u c k e d one day? All the prolific uploaders, encoders, VIPs, and staff who aren't part of the plan will eventually be raided by the authorities and all of us will have to serve jail time.
Are private trackers a top secret elaborate joint long-term operation by all of our countries' government? Do some of the staff, or the SysOps secretly work for the government?

>>51386667

Because it only works for TV shows. Haven't you noticed that yet, retard?

>>51390021

>It would be fine aslong as there are still the promotion goals which people will try to achieve.
You are retarded. Nobody gives a shit about those userclasses. 95% of stuff on What.cd is under 1GB and you need ratio in order to keep people from hitting and running. Also, music doesn't go out on some set schedule or comes out in packs like TV does. That's why ratioless works for BTN and not any other tracker.
>>51389983
Potatoe has done more for AB than you ever will. And the rest of the staff are more than competent. More competent than staff at high profile trackers like WCD/BTN/PTP? No, but AB is much smaller than those trackers.
How is bakaBT better when it only allows 1 rip not chosen by the community or any quality standards? Or when they ban certain shows because they're too retarded to become an actual private tracker? They have no idea what the fuck they're doing.
>>51390077
Why do you assume people would hit and run
They don't hit and run in Rutracker, ratioless tracker.
>>51390064
>how does rutracker work then with music being seeded despite being low file size
Because it's not a real private tracker and there's millions of Russians seeding yet there's still only 1-3 seeders on most FLACs.
>>51389993
People would just stop uploading and the request system would be worthless.
>>51390093
Russians don't download FLACs

>>51390093
But it works. People seed and I have gotten lost and lots of FLACs from there. Some do hit and run, but it doesn't fail rutracker as good bunch of people keep seeding.
Why wouldn't same happen in What.CD?
>>51390102
They don't stop uploading to Rutracker or Rockbox Psychocydd.
>>51390089
>They don't hit and run in Rutracker, ratioless tracker.
Yes, they do. RUtracker is not private and it has more users than the Pirate Bay so they have way more seeders who live in Russia and don't give a fuck about the law.
>>51390120
Numbers from rutracker are really amazing thb
>>51390089
>They don't hit and run in Rutracker, ratioless tracker.
I always hit & run on Rutracker.

So they might hit and run but good amount of people still seed with good connections.
Why would not same happen in What.CD?
Are English people so selfish compared to Russians?
>>51390119
>Why wouldn't same happen in What.CD?
Because What.cd is private and has only 120k users while RUTracker has millions and holds more than just music.
I know you faggots are upset that you can't get ratio on What.cd, but it's NEVER going to go ratioless because of the problems that the staff know will come if they made it ratioless. They already don't have HnRs so just deal with it.
>>51390089
>Why do you assume people would hit and run
>
>They don't hit and run in Rutracker, ratioless tracker.
RUTracker is mostly people who hit and run. The difference is that millions of Russians don't give a fuck about the law because Russia won't come after them for piracy.
>>51390102
>the request system would be worthless.
This. The request system is the best thing about WCD.
>>51390141
Are you dense? Rutracker makes up for shitty users with sheer volume of users. When you have shitzillions of people snatching the same CD, there will be one or two who keep seeding.
>>51390148
So private site users are selfish and wont seed without kickb& on their throat?
>Has more than just music.
but to seed music you have to seed music what does this matter that someone shares games or movies there? sharing fallout4 doesnt mean you can share jon hopkins discography flac there.
>>51390160
So what if there are h&r people when there are good amount of people seeding stuff with good connection?
So What.CD exorts people to break the law in a pseudo-private community, so they are not good hearted people sharing because they like to spread culture like good hearted slavs that openly oppose the copyright system by openly sharing music?
Why would not people seed without threat in What.CD when they do it in Rutracker and Psychocydd
What makes private tracker to 'I wont seed if you dont threaten me with kickb&'
>>51390180
So you are saying What.CD users are shitty?
>>51389993
It would kill the seedbox market. Every other tracker worth getting into is either ratioless or has a BP system that grants basically infinite ratio. Excluding Bib and HDB...and I guess GGn.
I need an older version of µTorrent 3.0, but I can't seem to find it anywhere that is a proper source for it. I found one, tried installing it after unblocking and every other fucking thing that got in the way, it still gets blocked
>Ratioless trackers have worked for ages now that people figured out BP systems and points system.
>Somehow What.CD is unique place where such thing would not work.

>>51390203
Lel why homods put these shitty word filters?
>>51390191
99.9999% of all users are shitty.

>>51389993

>>51389993
Look at libble.me to see what happens when a music tracker goes ratioless. No content and no torrent retention.
>>51390212
Don't know. Was just saying what one of the results would be.
>>51390191
>So private site users are selfish and wont seed without kickb& on their throat?
No. They seed more than public tracker users because they love their community and they want to build their stats.
>Why would not people seed without threat in What.CD when they do it in Rutracker and Psychocydd
Because rutracker is not private, has mostly russians who don't give a fuck about the law, and has millions of people hitting and running as opposed to the pirate bay which has millions of people hitting and running and 99% of them leave because they think they will get arrested if they seed.
>So you are saying What.CD users are shitty?
No. He is saying that RUtracker's system makes users into shitty users while What.cd's system makes everybody a good user.
>>51390239

Rutracker is not a music tracker and it is not private.
You can't compare it to what.cd at all. The users mostly come from Russia and Eastern Europe while What.cd users are mostly American and Western European.
>>51390259
rutracker is a public tracker and has 13 million registered users. Stop crying because you can't get a decent ratio.
>>51390255
>y seed more than public tracker users because they love their community
They love them so much that they need a kickban threat to seed? You have just said their users wouldn't share if they weren't threatened with kickban.
>Rutracker is not private.
Neither is W.CD you can take the interview and get account.
>Mostly russians that don't give a fuck.
and What.CD users break it just as much. what do you mean by this?
>hit and running
so? People-still-seed.
>Makes everybody a good user.
So good user is one that gets threatened with kickban if they don't seed rather than seeding out of pure love like Rutracker seeders?
SOmehow people that are threanted with kickban from tracker + seed are better than people who seed voluntarily without any threat on rutracker?
Are you a kekkold?
>>51390282
Why wouldn't W.CD users seed without a threat since they saw so much trouble registering there with the interview or being PU on other forum to get invited.
Why do they need additional threat to seed
>>51390283
>They love them so much that they need a kickban threat to seed?
The whole point of a private tracker is to keep the good users who want to seed and kick out the bad users who don't want to seed.
Rutracker still has seeders only because they have millions of people who know they will never get sued for seeding because Russia protects them.
>>51390272
I have 30~ russian friends and every single one of them either listens to music on streaming websites (vk.com) or downloads MP3's on rutracker. You can also compare how many seeds MP3 discography and FLAC discography/album have on rutracker, most of the time MP3s have 2x seeds.
>>51390296
>threat
What threat? You can hit&run on What, you just won't get any upload.

Rutracker is like kat.cr, no different. How is it not a public tracker?
I dont have to register at kat.cr to download anything, same at rutracker. Kat.cr doesnt track upload or download, same at rutracker. Kat.cr uses DHT, same at rutracker. I can simply search DHT, and not visit kat.cr or rutracker and still search and download everything they have. I can hit and run anything I want.

Seedboxes have to dump their data in order to keep getting more buffer because they have limited space that they have to pay for. Home users can get ratio by never deleting their content and seeding 24/7.

Sure not ratioless but they should offer more freeleech torrents more regularly. It would allow more people to get more buffer which in turn allows them to download more non free leech stuff which then gives more upload to the users seeding those. People will still permaseed, people will still fill requests noone loses out. They have the right idea in making it ratio based but its way too extreme. There isnt even bonus points for seeding.

WCD works just fine by forcing people to work hard to get what they want.

>>51390589
>implying

yeah it's unbelievable especially since they've been doing staff picks more often than ever and even gave a freeleech.
What's the status of compilations on what.cd?
What about greek music? Is there much?

On a seedbox m8. Cant help if its a curry tracker where noone downloads m8.
>complains about WCD after all the freeleech shit that's been going on in the last 3 months

Seriously? If you can't find a way to get a buffer with a seedbox, you are literally retarded.

Mate, I don't seed hardly anything on WCD because I make enough bank during FL and staff picks. Their system does not encourage long term seeding, it encourages pump and dump seedboxing and racing any popular or FL torrents.

What if all three?
>>51391111
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>51391227
There must be a main one.

This.
I'm literally not seeding anything on WCD except stuff I uploaded. Maybe if WCD fixed their tagging system, I'd bother seeding my music library because I'm not making 2 copies of my library just to have one for seeding.

No really. Tied between music and trackers desu senpai

>Mate, I don't seed hardly anything on WCD because I make enough bank during FL and staff picks.
And that's why constant FL and staff picks are bad.
>join Bibliotik
>no Where's Wally
shit tracker.

Damage control. If the staff was competent how come some of them left? Go be a faggot shill somewhere else
>>51391132
I've got enough buffer to last me 5 years or so, but I thought I'd start seeding things again what with all the freeleech stuff.
I got like 3 gigs of upload total this time versus 20 per round of staff picks in the past. Dunno what happened, but fuck that.
