This is true if you want big big buffer. Like I think I got 200GB getting in after minutes before. But really if you get them in the first 24hours you're gonna get some decent Gs from that over the first week or so.
Reading a mediainfo and it starts off real nice with deblock=1:-3:-3, analyse=0x3:0x133, tesa@48, subme=11, trellis=2, decimate=0, fast_pskip=0, b_pyramid=2, b_adapt=2 and then you get to rc_lookahead=40 and you brace while your heart fills with dread because you don't want to believe what's coming up but you just know.

To massively oversimplify mbtree tries to remove bits from complex parts of a scene (like high motion) that the viewer wont see and thus create a smaller encode. However it's only really efficient when used in conjuction with high rc_lookahead values (like 240 high) and it tends to ruin dark scenes and fades if it's used with a low value.

don't get me wrong, since a lot of our original users (and staff) hail from there we'll still keep appealing to them, but since we'll still be tracking the same niche (anything music), there's no reason not to expand our userbase

Yes, with the FL, a lot of people got massive quantities of torrents, and this massive quantities of new announces, along with all the announces pre-FL, is destroying WCD tracker
