I remember people bitching about the THREE YEARS right after Cascade because of all the character development we'd be missing. And we were right. And then Hussie did the same shit with the void session. And then he DID THE SAME SHIT WITH THE RETCON.
God damn, Huss. Why don't you want us to actually see the characters make progress?
Act 5 had a lot of momentum behind it which Act 6 killed. The convulted story and the stakes building in intensity, Scratch intermission was like a calm before the storm and Cascade was the climax. After that it felt like we were in endgame territory. Collide should have hit less than 500 pages later. There was no room for more characters or for the Lord English origin story, he should have saved that concept for his next comic.

a5a2 was like a guy spinning 4 plates, and suddenly adding on 8 more plates. it was kind of all over the place and it looked like he was gonna drop them at a few different points, but he kept them up and eventually you had to be admit you were watching something fucking impressive. and who else have you ever seen spin that many plates anyway?
so he was like you know what, 12 plates is nothing, i can do 12 MORE, and it looked like he was pulling it off for a moment, but then they started falling one by one and he was trying to pick them up but the plates had had spaghetti on them the whole time and he couldnt get the spaghetti back on the plates and he was tripping in the spaghetti and more and more plates kept crashing to the floor, more plates than youve ever seen, and you have to curl up to protect yourself from the devastation, and the pile of plates and spaghetti covering everything is getting heavier, and you know even when its over you wont be able to get up, you and everyone who was watching the performance is going to suffocate here

Well, for one thing, Act 7 is the end of the comic. Homestuck had many moments like it, and they were liked because they got people hyped for future events (or at least future explanations). But after Act 7, there are no future events.
Also, the events in Jade: Enter (for example) have one notable difference from the events of Act 7: we already know what they are. We don't know what exactly will happen, but we're given enough prior knowledge so that when it does happen, we know what's going on. We know what a First Guardian is, we know what it means to prototype a Sprite, and we know that Jack has the Queen's Ring. We didn't know that Becquerel was going to prototype himself, but we understand the significance of him doing so; we're left wondering "great googly moogly everything's gone to shit, how will our heroes get out of this one?", whereas Act 7 leaves us wondering "what the hell just happened and what will it do to the universe?" because its events are unprecedented and unexplained.

no it wont. from the point of view of the furthest ring, the pre-retcon session isnt 'gone entirely and never existed'. it just exists for some non-euclidean period of time and then disappears like magic with eveything inside it.

I don't know - I didn't make the original test. The page is pretty much a generalised spreadsheet reader. The inputs set the value of a set of cells, and then run the formula like in the sheet.

I'm pretty sure I've found proof that the furthest ring is affected by retcons. There's a difference between the situations of the Meteor and Dave/Rose.
Assuming it works like you say, John retconned the events on the meteor, creating a second meteor, and they both entered the furthest ring separately and traveled along different paths. The problem is: Dave and Rose were always in the furthest ring! Only ONE pair of Strilondes can create the Green Sun and only that pair can board a meteor. There was no point where John could have duplicated them, which means the effects of his retcons must extend into the furthest ring.

Okay so the thing to know about prophecies in sBurb is that you'll never know when exactly the moment you realize you've been totally plated by Skaia.
There's always a strong connection between the combat side of titles and the prophecies, so as everybody has said before your shtick is taking hope and giving it to others.
However, if Homestuck is anything to be trusted it doesn't mean that the game is your only enemy. You'll probably slowly develop a rival in the game, and then at an important point steal their hopes of ever doing SOMETHING while simultaneously invigorating the rest of the group. This could range from defeating their denizen before they get there and amazing the other players or just stealing his/her girl/man if you catch my drift. Basically you'll fuck somebody over and it'll both cripple them and boost your team tremendously. Or maybe there's another definition to hope that i'm missing and you'll just fuck somebody over that way.

Here's what I have so far
Psycho's lusus is long dead, his lusus was overprotective and murdered any troll who tried to interact with him so he just continues the legacy and messes with the bodies so it looks like his lusus killed them (split personality)
Jaws-troll is brain-damaged from a thing that happened in the backstory, he just kills and eats (cannibalistic). Eventually he's going to go god-tier and regain his faculties and go APESHIT.
The Thing troll had lusus shenanigans occur and now she basically sneaks into a high blood's house, murders them, impersonates them (including bathing in their blood and scent), kills THEIR lusus, and then scouts out their friends for another person to follow the chain.
Scream-troll is basically super genre savvy and is more or less the Terezi of their session, leading everyone along by a leash.

I never understood why John didn't ever just propel projectiles at super-sonic speeds as a weapon. Considering he could decrease the density of air infront of a projectile, I'm sure he could even propel it to relativistic speeds. If he kept decreasing the density of the air infront of the projectile and increasing the density and speed of the air pushing it, I'm not sure that there would be anything slowing it down from reaching a speed very close to the speed of light. Probably easiest to do it as a kinetic air-strike, considering that gravity would assist.
