Last weekend's thread:
-What's the deal with talking animals? More bear puns
-Stretcherous' bizarre adventure
-ARMOR
-How to make an alien race that evolved without sunlight, and other space stuff
-Holiday ideas, probably going to be seeing more of those
-Deelette family Christmas photo in progress
-New Lamenton continues to be brought up, "Trine" being the suggested title for it.

Also, is the main google doc asking anyone else for access to the doc now? The other docs aren't telling me to go request permission, but the main one is.
Might as well post some of the other new pics from last thread.

How about the fallout from Strummer interrupting Marion watching the Queen's speech?
>>78295263
Marion doesn't strike me as the type who would watch that unless she's known the queen personally for a long time.
Then there's the question of who the queen is in /coc/ U.K.
If royalty had the ability to turn into dinosaurs in the /coc/ setting, that'd be pretty neat.
>>78295352
Could be a King. A sort of soldier-King would make sense in the world after The Bad Thing.
>>78295399

The British Islands, the way some of us keep talking about then in the /coc/ setting, are sound like they were totally blown up, reformed, blown up again, twisted into a pile of junk, tipped over, blown up again, and then rebuilt out of scraps from other stories.
While everyone loves to bullshit and tack on more stuff, it doesn't make for a setting where the stories we've actually been discussing can actually take place in.
It's more like magical hotspots are flaring up randomly across the islands than the whole thing being turned outside-in and downside-up.
I wonder what the anon who made the last post in this screencap was thinking.

Probably the same thing as the anon who promised the "Diego's Strip Club" fic was thinking.

>>78306212
The only ones I planned already are the ones that are in there. I could also potentially move all but L and Z around; Precipice Peril was originally Height Horrors, for example.
Having said that if you have panel descriptions to go with those it'd help a fair bit.
>>78304991
Not going to lie if I end up drawing skeletons that panel is going to turn into Undertale fan art real quick if only because when I think old school villains I think of a short fat guy and a tall skinny guy.
>>78306307
-Abrupt awakenings - being woken up by the hero alarm thing they probably have in the house
-Bobbing breakfast - being on the run while eating breakfast because of that hero alarm going off and needing to be out the door ASAP.
-costume cajoling - trying to make her costume fit by sweet talking it or saying "come on, come on, come on!"
-Doorway dilemmas - boobs get stuck in the door on the way out
-Elegant entry - boobs hit her in the face when she sticks her landing after swinging around

I'd like to think he'd understand the reason WHY they're doing it, even if he doesn't understand the particulars and I just remembered that episode of JLU where Supes invites Martian Manhunter to spend Christmas with his folks.
There's potential for a "learns the meaning of Christmas" story here that can also contribute to some character development for Captain Stocking Arms is all I'm getting at.
Okay, I'll start inking these sketched panels later tonight and the captions are a separate file, but for the record we now have

>Fantastic Fisticuffs!
>Identity Imbroglio!
>Lunch.
>Musical Mayhem
>Precipice Peril!
>Robot Rampage!
>Simian Scuffle!
>Worrisome Windows!

>>78321709

As for Iris, I don't recall much discussion about her appearance, but the name was like a pun with Iris being "eye" and "Lodell" having something to do with spotting gold. I'm not sure I ever understood the pun though.
I guess >>78322428 is pretty close to the idea.
I recall glasses and some kind of neck attire being discussed.
>>78323156
>I'm not sure I ever understood the pun though.
"Lodell" was my suggestion. It was meant to refer to the mother lode, a massive gold deposit. I was trying to go for a subtle reference (like Audrey's name starting with the periodic symbol for gold), but in hindsight it became too obtuse even for my liking.
I later suggested changing it to either Sanning (Swedish for "truth," the result of me messing around with Google Translate) or Argon (referring to the Argonauts). A couple people seemed to like Argon better.
>>78323279
If we keep discussing it, maybe it'll be remembered this time.
>>78322939
This is like the time I learned flummoxed is a word.
What language did English steal/Frankenstein together these from?
This GG A-Z comic is going to be a real BIFF POW WHAM by the time it's done and all these funny obscure words are on it to get the meanings we need.
>>78324331
>What language did English steal/Frankenstein together these from?
All of them, really.
Dictionary.com says "kerfuffle" originated as an informal British word, actually.
>>78324508
Sometimes I wonder what the context of these words were when they were created.
A bunch of Englishmen or Scotsmen in the same bar and one overhears the other say something like it, then repeats it differently near some Irish folks who take it America where it ends up even more different?
I wonder how much alcohol played a role in forming a lot of the lesser used words in the English language.
Are their bootleggers in the GG setting?
Is prohibition in effect?
Did SQ have a "Catwoman" as a guy who ran a speak easy back in the day before GG came along?
How long was SQ active before GG came into the picture?
>>78324803
It's the 50s, so prohibiton is long over.
>>78324854
Which is why I said "back in the day" and then asked how long SQ has been heroing.
And apparently the golden age of comic books was from 1938 - 1950 with some kind of gap before the silver age began in 1956.
I don't know what that's about.
Does anyone else think SQ needs a little more development? I get the point of GG is cute jailbait with huge tits, but I wanna see more SQ being the big hero she's supposed to be in-universe.
>>78325487
The idea is that the GG comics are a spinoff from a main SQ comic, so the adventures are more from her perspective.
>>78325597
I understand what you're saying, and it's fine if the comics are just GG, but I feel like we should see more of Queenie if she's Audrey's patron and mentor. Just a small suggestion.
Besides, it's not like she doesn't have nice titties herself.
>>78325711
So, like more comics that center specifically on SQ and GG's partnership? Yeah, some of those could be good.
>>78324331

Personally I kind of want the universe expanded a little more if only because I have an idea for a GG comic that requires more heroines than we've got at the moment.
>>78327815
Batman - 1939
Robin - 1940
Only a year between their introduction.
I feel SQ should've been active for longer than that before GG joined her so SQ would have a bigger reputation.

>>78329953
>Why not have her dealing with puberty be more about her actually growing up and trying to split her sidekick identity off into her own independent superhero identity
Because that wouldn't be as funny.
The whole character comes from /co/ seeing this panel from Stephanie Brown's tenure as Robin and deciding it would be fun to spoof the whole "all superheroines have big boobs" trope by making a kid sidekick an early bloomer.
>>78330035

Collaborative project: a project were more than one individual work on something together each giving their input
Hug Box: A place where people can post their work and be assured that they will receive no negative criticism and if they do, they will immediately be defended and let known that their work is perfect as is.
>>78331108
Complaints aren't bad in and of themselves, especially when they are made with a reasonable alternative option to whatever is being complained about.
>>78331224
I agree.
>>78331284
>Hug Box: A place where people can post their work and be assured that they will receive no negative criticism and if they do, they will immediately be defended and let known that their work is perfect as is.
Exactly. You voiced your idea, and you got a negative response. Ergo, it's not a hugbox.
It has to go both ways. Your opinions can be dissented with too. Otherwise it's less "this is a hug box" and more "Why am I not the one being hugged?!"
>>78331338
Except it is one way, because anyone giving criticism gets shouted down. Last thread, someone was going on about how anyone criticizing things was the work of one evil shitposter.
>>78331438
yeah, the dude just said that other people have complained about it before and then called multiple people shitposters rather than looking within.
You guys just keep arguing and keep the thread up.
I'm gonna go to bed so I can catch an early showing of TFA.
And I've been thinking about our space setting.
There are the PKs as a large faction.
There are the uplifters, but they are not a faction, just one species.
There needs to be an opposing faction.
Possibly an empire, possibly something else. There are at least two space empires of evil that have been mentioned in character backstories and also destroyed in character backstories.
Though that lizard race could hint at a third party, or at least a look at the criminal element in the space setting with what I have planned for them.
So many plans, but it takes so long to get to any of them.
>>78331438
Generally when you come in and look at something that's been established and say "I don't like this, it's too [insert complaint here and you should change it" ], the people who've worked on it, written for it, and made art for it are gonna be a little pissed at you. It's already a thing, the elements have already been put together and people are working on stuff that fits within it's structure. If something fundamental about a /co/ creation bothers you, just forget about it and move on to make your own.
>>78331438
>>78331475
Look at it from the other perspective.
*Every* thread there's plenty of different projects. You can find them laid out very nicely in the second post. There's cosmic crusaders, there's the Ladybug stuff, but then there's always that one voice that says "Everything is waifu fetish stuff" which not only ignores all those other in progress projects, but specifically calls out one thing like it need not exist.
And it happens *every* week, no matter what else gets discussed. Even when the second post is almost always "Here's what we did" and more times than not there isn't any remotely "fetish waifufag" stuff there.
And you can easily go into those old threads (or could anyway) and see the same "criticisms" and the same counter arguments.
After a while, yeah, that's like Man of Steel threads where every day there's that one guy that has to dig out the horse to beat it again for or against it. If you don't like the idea that's being talked about, talk about the one you want to talk about instead. Or come up with a new one; it's free! I don't get why we need to go through this whole "Why is this thing here ew" *every week*.
>>78331541
>/coc/ isn't a hugbox guys
>that's why you shouldn't criticize anything ever
Can someone explain to me how someone posting a character they made separate from these threads somehow gets them accepted as a creation of these threads?
>>78331689
Usually they make a character, post it, and say "Hey, look what I made". Then people ask them about it and if it's cool incorporate it into one of the hundred million universes we have.
>>78331541
>>78331586
the difference is that i'm not saying "this is bad, stop"
I'm saying "the character concept is overdone and can be reworked into something interesting instead of just fetish fuel"
which is a valid criticism.
if it was a male sidekick who suddenly grew a huge dick and had trouble running or getting erections in class, it would be just as silly a character concept as yours is.
>>78331789
God forbid something be silly.
>>78331862
when i say silly, it's a polite way of saying stupid.
>>78331904
Dare to be stupid.
how do you guys feel about the color scheme?
>>78332295
Well what kind of color scheme are you shooting for here? Who is this character what kind of person is she?
>>78332322
albino alien gladiator who came from a very low light planet.
personality isn't too fleshed out because I went more for concept/design first than story.
i suppose the color scheme would have to do with whatever culture would from in a low light/cold world, i suppose color wouldn't be super apparent to them in the first place.
In that sense maybe since the light is so low, they use very vibrant colors to make up for it?
i'm down for suggestions.
>>78332386
If the planet itself is very low light, then most if not all of the creatures that live there would have almost no pigmentation, the same way that animals that live in dark caves do. So lots of whites or pale colors. Vibrant colors would be special for them.
>>78332463
indeed indeed, she is an albino, though I made her skin more towards pink than white to give her a color to work with.
do you think the scheme looks okay though?
>>78332491
Seems fine to me.
Just a little comic withe the Regular Show nerds.
>>78332525
is a paler more traditional albino pigment better?
>>78332546
If she's albino, what color is the rest of her species? Also in that pic her hair and skin are almost the exact same color, I would make the hair a very stark white to give some contrast.
>>78332560
the species is albino.
>>78332590
Ok well if the whole species is like that then she/they aren't albino, that's just their normal. That looks good though.
>Only 19 IPs
What happened to this place?
>>78322428
I'll pause where I am now and try and at least do a really rough sketch for Iris next. More 50s nerd girl refs would not be remiss, because there's a fine line between authentic and retro hipster.
>>78325487
When I threw out the design for Silver Queen I made the mistake of giving her hair that's kind of a pain in the butt to draw. But if someone else wants to take a crack at it that'd be sweet. I'll even throw together a template strip if it'd help get the ball rolling, since I have a logo for her picked out and everything.
>>78329953
I don't give a crap about whatever you guys were fighting about but keep it up and I'll make her bigger just to spite you. I can do it. It'd be super easy too. I'd just have to hit Ctrl+T.But seriously I wouldn't. I even went back and made her smaller in one of these panels.
And the boobs are really just there as window dressing. You may not know it but the second comic I did for this project is EXACTLY the kind of thing you proposed.
>>78332295 seems really pink for an albino. >>78332546
is better, but if it's an alien planet you could go even crazier. Thinner skin with visible veins, maybe. If the entire planet is low light then there's some really interesting potential for horrific creatures with no eyes at all that get by with thermal sense, or a race with luminescence. or sonar.
Like >>78332463 said, you should look at cave and deep sea animals that have little to no light to work with. Moles and earthworms, too.
The concept does intrigue me though. What have you got in mind for it? Seems like it could easily go full horror.

They would APPEAR albino to human beings, but to their species, they wouldn't be albino, they would be normal. You could flip this for the species so that the disorder would be extreme pigmentation, instead of none like in albinism. So the "albino" for their species would be pitch black. But that's just an idea.
>>78332944
Also wouldn't they need eyes capable of seeing in the darkness of their underground home?
>>78332978
If light is scarce/non-existent, then they might not even use light so see at all. They could be like snakes and see in infrared. Or in radio waves, or maybe a sound based vision like Dare Devil.
>>78332978
hard to tell from far away but i've made their pupils semi slitted, at least in the sense that their pupil goes all the way to the top, not sure how it would work exactly but I think it looks cool.
>>78333030
i'm fond of snake vision.
>>78332932
>not becoming the hero and making the girl YOUR sidekick
Step up, nigga.
>>78333183
To be honest I got more of a generic elf vibe than alien from the design.
So do you guys draw together or something? Do you use flockmod or drawpile?
>>78333183
Pupils really need to be symmetrical otherwise the whole eye apparatus doesn't work. Their vision would be all fucked up. If you want to go with snake vision, snakes do have pretty sweet eyes. Also would make them distinctly more alien looking.
>>78333235
I was the one supplying art for the New Lamenton /Trine things.
If there is somewhere that people draw together here, I am not aware of it.
It evolved to something better than what I had initially thought of.
>>78324803
>>78324854
Prohibition is over but they've got the mafiosos and mobsters that were a direct result of it.
>>78332735
How about 'Time Trouble' or
'Time Travel Trouble' showing GG meeting her older self, GG looking confused while standing in a nother time period (like ancient greece) or fighting an extinct animal. Or some combination of the three.
One of them should probably focus on Silver Queen in some capacity, unfortunately monarch, royal and silver are all unavailable.
>>78325597
We actually have a backstory for her outlined for her. The main problem is that she's less suited for short joke strips than GG and nobody really wants to commit to multiple pages.
>>78331789
People suggested a few weeks ago that the character be reshaped into somthing less jokey and with more mass appeal. There wasn't much enthusiasm for the idea. Mostly because nobody actually expects anybody to do any actual stories with the character, which would be the main reason to make her a more normal character. You could always take the character wholesale and re-purpose it to suit your needs. I don't think anyone would mind if you tried to explore somthing different.
>>78332853
A certain amount of the argument behind the prevalence of humanoid figures in alien species is essentially "This has been proven to work in real life trials" as shown by our own species. Evolution supported the development of the skin pigment we have, what makes you think it wouldn't do the same for other lifeforms?
>>78333235
We have had flockdraws in the past, but there's not a regular ongoing one.
>>78333201
Yes, but then you need to refile your paperwork, re-register with another guild, and get her registered as well.
>>78332735
Some one should post some screenshots from that episode of SYM Bionic Titian about Scary Marry, there's some 50s outfits in that which might work.
>>78336857
And also turtlenecks were mentioned when talking about her.
Kind of Velma-like, I think?
>>78335827
But our skin pigment makes sense because we have sunlight. And we have animals that have evolved in low light environments that don't have said pigment. So by your own logic, it stands to reason that it shouldn't work like ours, but like those animals.
>>78337884
>this is the only thing that features Bri and Ma'am together
>>78336323
What if you just let it slide? I doubt they have annual audits in to sidekick performance.
Or do they?
What happened to the two catgirls?
>>78340529
Every character is in cold storage until someone decides to use them for something.
>tfw saved the small version of the file permanently and had to scale it up to a blurry mess
Fuck my life honestly.
>>78341657
This is way you always save multiple copies until it's done
>>78340529
>>78340707
We've got top men taking care of them.
>>78341657
Looks like Recluse could blend in with these people pretty well. As long as they don't find robot limbs to be too weird, anyway.
>>78341657
Now you need to figure out what exactly you want to do with this character.
>>78341820
Who?
>>78322428
>>78323156
>>78323279
>>78336857
>>78339234
First attempt at Iris. I think she's kind of too "cool" looking though.
>>78342291
She wasn't meant to be a nerd or popular, just average.
Like the one guy who can see the polka-dotted elephant clown in the room that's really there even thought no one else can.
I think the design looks fine, though I still think she could use a shirt collar or something.
Over in the /aco/ thread there's another new GG comic >>>/aco/271715 which is playing on thought that The /aco/lyte Wizard meddled with reality to give GG her boobs.
You can consider it non-canon, but it's still neat that the idea was drawn.
>>78342291
Ooh, that's good. I agree with >>78342568 about the collar, though.
>>78343380
>in-universe acknowledgement of GG's fetishistic origins
This feels strange.
>>78343738
Like the 34, it's not canon.
Or it's the Earth-2 version.
>>78343738
/aco/lytle Wizard is a /co/smic being, some of those are in on our jokes and fully aware of them.
>>78342291
>>78342568
>>78343386
So I looked into some Shane Glines and other retro styled cartoonists and then did some revisions.
I got rid of the earrings, changed the hair to make it a little easier to draw more consistently. Turned her top into a turtleneck like you guys suggested.
I also changed the shape of the glasses since it looks like 50s era women's glases were all sort of cat eye shaped, and I and made them into more of an expressive eye kind of deal to cut down on the details as well so that it'll be easier to replicate.
I figure the more streamlined the design is, the better the odds are of multiple artists using it.
>>78344633
Neat.
Her glasses make her look mad.
Always angry all the time look.
>>78342075
Top
Men
>>78344878
And like what happened later in the films, a good portion of it was totally destroyed.
>>78344633
Definitely liking the revisions, especially the glasses.
>>78344633
I liked her face better in the first version, but I prefer her clothes in this one.
>>78341657
>>78341911
A species that evolved on the same planet as the symbiotes and the breeders.
A species that was spared by the Vreen since they avoid the light as well.
Or maybe they live on a rouge planet?
Any good with machinery? Do they all train to be warriors? Are they spread out and their inability to gather in large groups is making it difficult for their species to remain populated?
>>78345506
Agreed, I miss the thick eyebrows
>>78346797
give them a Canon
>>78347376
Thick eyebrows always make a superior character.
>>78345506
>>78347376
>>78348997
I made her eyebrows thick again. (and changed the expression They were mostly hidden by the glasses last time)
>>78349204
Yeah, looking good with the eyebrows. Almost makes me think of a 50s-styled Velma.
>>78349204
Looks good.
I don't really like the turtle neck, she already has a much narrower character design than GG and I feel like the turtle neck places too much emphasis on the length of her neck.
At the same time it does help differentiate her from GG's collared outfit so I guess it's fine? Maybe try the collar slightly less wide?
>>78349204
Someone refresh my memory, what name did we come up with for if/when snaps and puts on a costume?
>>78350333
I think we're still leaning towards something like the Prospector, since she's trying to dig up the truth about Golden Girl.
>>78350368
Would Audry just call her out on being Iris if they met in costume?
Would SQ think that GG is now a master detective if she did this? Or would SQ ask GG how she knows or for some reasoning?
Would other people immediately recognize Iris if GG called her out while Iris was in costume?
>>78350556
They should have relative immunity from everything except each other.
>>78350556
It feels out of character for Audrey to just blurt out Iris's identity like that, especially since she's trying to keep her own identity secret and denies that she's GG whenever Iris tries confronting her in their civilian guises.
I do remember that during that weeklong thread we had a few months ago, it was suggested that we could get some humor out of the two of them bumping into each other when they sneak off to change into costume.
>>78350556
>>78350771
If GG revealed she new Iris's identity it would be more evidence that she was someone connected to Iris in real life, which she would obviously want to avoid. (assuming that she does recognize her)
>>78350880
Yeah, that's what I said.
I - Identity Imbroglio is complete (barring a headline and article text. Oopen to suggestions)
C - Costume Conundrums has been sketched out.
>>78333938
I was thinking something with dinosaurs for a time travel panel but T could be Teacher if you wanted a SQ idea (which there absolutely should be)
>>78351354
A headline...
Would it need to be another "Hometown Hero Hits" something something more H words for this example?
Or can it just be anything?
>>78351354
Best word I can think of to go with Teacher at the moment is Terrific, which works, but I think it lacks the punch of the other panels.
Got a good one for N, though:
>Noisy Ne'er-do-wells!
>GG covering her ears while the Racketeer yells at her
>>78351748
I'd say it can be anything. It might need to sell the idea that Iris is using as piece of a "This is CLEARLY you" evidence.
>>78351354
I am envious of her ability to take a boob headrest nap.
>>78351814
>Best word I can think of to go with Teacher at the moment is Terrific, which works, but I think it lacks the punch of the other panels.
I got a couple of punchier-sounding ones. How does either Tenacious or Trailblazing sound?
>>78352791
Tenacious makes me think of some kind of not giving up school man.
And then I remember that Truant is also a T word.
>>78351354
>>78351814
>>78352791
Alternatively the robot panel could be shifted to T, renamed somthing like 'Titanium Titans/Terror' and R could be used for somthing like Royal- verb.
So, what kinds of waifus are still unrepresented?
We've got goths, commando chicks, titty monsters, amazons, brown girls...
I think we're missing robots and wrench wenches...
>>78355118
How about instead of titty monsters, a waifu with monster titties? Her tits are two monsters that grow out of her chest.
>>78355118
You forgot "motorcycle."
So a robot, who turns in to a bike, and can repair herself.
Waifuception.
Think this'll be the last update for the night:
I - Identity Imbroglio has the newspaper article in.
C - Costume Crises is done.
T - Tenacious/Terrific/Trailblazing Teacher is in progress. Apes continue to be hard to draw.
We;re almost halfway done, so that's good.
>>78355320
We have Arcee for that don't we?
>>78355338
You always do great work anon.
>>78355146
That's be fun. But it could get old pretty quick, depending if the titties are sapient, or non-sapient. Maybe they could be like the shadow-tentacles from the Darkness. Or a dog.
>>78355118
>wrench wenches...
Arguably Marley and Rebecca Voltaire, though they're somewhat more electrical engineers than traditional mechanics.
>>78355338
How about somthing machine related with GG at a workbench.
Device Development?
Contraption Construction?
>>78355997
Dynamic Devices, maybe. I feel like D requires a word like dynamic, or danger, or distress.
>>78355338
Quiz Quest again for Q.
>>78355118
Honestly we have so many titty monsters it feels like they should have annual meet-ups with club jackets.
>>78355338
That's some major attention to detail.
>>78357411
That would also work but I was trying to get at GG role as the device builder in the crime fighting team.
>>78360121
Her backstory still has her as being a mechanic's daughter, right?
Maybe she'd be good at working on engines and stuff.
Giving the time frame and setting, how would SQ react to her young ward being good at things like that?
Unladylike? Impressed? Bemused? Think it's a phase? Task her with the upkeep of whatever vehicles they use for their crime fighting?
"Who changes Batman's tires?" Only replace Batman with SQ and the person who does it is GG.
>>78355338
>We have Arcee for that don't we?
Literally 2perfect4reality.
>>78355585
Rebecca could have some mechanical know-how. Probably not super wrench-wench, but enough engineering to get things done.Is it Rebecca who always told really bad jokes?
>>78344968
Wait, did that really happen?
>>78361567
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, first part, they wrecked up part of the warehouse on their way out.
The Ark made a cameo seen in one of the broken boxes.
>>78361111
Well the actual reaction has already happened off screen before they teamed up to fight crime, but I'd say impressed and enthusiastic.
>>78361821
And what jokes can we do with GG having trouble with machines during her growth spurt?
>>78361900
Milker Malfunction
>>78361947
I was more implying engines: cars, planes, boats, that sort've thing.
>>78363186
Oh. I was implying huge tits.
>>78363186
I was thinking Vehicle _______ or Bullet/Bike _____ with her working on their motorcycle.
>>78355118
Netiquette might be a robot. And there's Carina Castle, though she's technically two slugs in a mech.
>>78339856
Guess no one image could truly handle that much combined bust.
>>78363483
It'd just end like this
(We need to get Chochi back here)
>>78363515
At least Chochi gave us some Bri.
>>78363290
Vehicular Vexations, Bike Burdens
>>78363290
I wasn't thinking of it for the A-Z pic, but just another facet of her personality or a hobby.
>>78365069
She'd probably have some trouble getting underneath cars to do work there. Might also get in the way when she pops the hood and bends over to do engine work.
>>78365092
I think Page 10-tan and The Golden Attendant would be well acquainted.
T is done.
Is there a T word that means "defending"? Because that'd probably fit best given the previous panel.
>>78365069
Kinda wish you'd said a little earlier because bikes are hard and I am not looking forward to inking that panel.
Then again we could scrap it for something with Vampires maybe?
>>78358127
I like the idea, I'm just not sure how to draw it.
>>78366521
>Is there a T word that means "defending"? Because that'd probably fit best given the previous panel.
Not according to Thesaurus.com, at any rate.
>>78366521
I was just doing a bit of thinking about what GG does side from fight crime/protect secret identity.
And since it was mentioned before that her father was a mechanic of some sort who worked on planes...
But anyway, as for a T word... Tactics?
>>78366521
>working on a bike from the bottom
For what reason?
Also:
>not having a centre stand
>>78366936
Because I know nothing about motorcycles and thought it made for a more visually interesting panel.
>>78366521
fyi you're the only reason i'm following this thread
>>78366936
>For what reason?
Because the bitch that owns the bike wanted her to get oil all over her face.
It came out okay, but I was really struggling finishing it from a mixture of dissatisfaction and working through a headache. Anyone want a PSD or LIP file?
>>78368121
/d/'s nipples being visible through a thick sweater is my new fetish. But I don't think /d/ will understand.
>>78368121
Nice.
It's a shame you're still not feeling well though.
I know I've got a few holiday aches right now anyway.
>>78368258
It's funny, I don't think I would've noticed that if you hadn't pointed it out.
>>78368121
Looking good.
>>78368121
>no rings in the fings
Colette confirmed for deadbeat.
>>78368513
Frankly the picture /co/ came up with for their family was pretty depressing for Deelette. Colette was billed as a deadbeat mom that's never around and Demona is a loving-if-not absentee father.
>>78367208
Actually it's a friend trying to teach her about engines and shit.
What we can't see is the "oh shit nigga what're you doing" face she has on.
>>78368513
You can't tie /d/ down to a committed relationship (the closest thing they have to romance right now is whatever continues to go on between them and "up for literally anything" /mlp/).
/d/ fucks a lot of things, but the only time she's managed to get someone pregnant is with /co/lette.
Even /d/ is puzzled why she doesn't have kids sired from everywhere.
>>78368638
Easy, Demona is a reality warper, even operating on a subconscious level. When she fucks something she can impregnate, it is always the receiving party's "safe day". Colette got pregnant because afterwards she asked if Demona wore a condom, questioning the risk and thereby breaking the protection.
>>78368595
If you are referring to the fishing picture that is because /co/lette has extreme animosity towards Goolette.
It isn't entirely unjustified either with how stupid everyone acts whenever Goolette is around.
>>78368677
/d/'s reality warping capabilities are limited to what is someone's fetish.
I always felt it was interesting how /co/lette ended up having two daughters from different fathers and how the exact same thing happened with Toph, whom is part of what went into making /co/lette.
Deelette discussions on /d/ never paint /co/lette in a neglectful light, just busy with her superhero career most of the time.
>>78368680
Nah, /co/ actually went into some detail about it. Apparently it's been forgotten so maybe poor Deelette can get a mulligan on her shitty mom.
>>78368121
This made me want other family photos, but then I remembered that there aren't really any other families in the /coc/verse and now I'm sad.
>>78368983
Marley has a family, Cassandra from BQ has a family, uh... that's all I can think of.
>>78368983
Stretcherous has her older sis...well had. I imagine a photo of her and her sister but her face isnt shown somehow, since we dont know how she looks like unmasked.
>>78368828
That line of thought was pretty quickly abandoned.
>>78368983
Here's one of Kid Cookie with his parents.
>>78366521
>I like the idea, I'm just not sure how to draw it.
Looking back at the original suggestion, GG running/being chased down a row of giant Monopoly-style board squares? Or maybe competing on a 50s quiz show, losing to a smug, Riddler-esque villain?
>>78368599
I approve of 50s/60s biker friend.Mod or Rocker?
>>78369835
That's obviously a Rocker mototcycle.
>>78369835
>>78370040
In one of the previous threads it was established that SQ and GG drive around in a WW2 era motorcycle and sidecar called the Silver Bullet Audrey performing maintenance on it would be n keeping with her hyper-competent sidekick roots.
>>78366521
I suppose quiz quest could be the characters participating in a quiz show of some sort.
>>78370492
Another bit of data that we lost with those threads being in the archive void.
So what kind of modifications have been made to it?
>>78366521
If you're going to stick with the motorcycle, may I suggest:
>Vehicular Vexations!
Wanted to play around with another hair style
>>78371755
Probably fairly simple ones since GG is supposed to be merely machine savvy rather than some sort of engineering prodigy.
>>78372356
looks good, but since Marley's hair is short and relatively unkempt, I feel like her mother's should be long and groomed. Visually distinguishes the two of them and gives Marley a more youthful vigor in comparison. Either way looks great.
>>78372356
That's the best mood I've ever seen her in.
>>78372748
So mostly cosmetic to the sidecar to allow for her... growth.
>>78374115
Plus some gadgets like oil slicks and the like.
Uodate:
V is now a free space again. I like the concept but the execution was flawed enough that I'd rather scrap it. I'll probably do research after this on motorcycle repair and do a stand alone picture anyway.
Coming up with a death trap that sells the Quiz concept for Q is proving to be a little tricky but I'll keep trying. Having said that, how did we all forget that Queen is a Q word?
>>78374361
We go with vampires for V like you suggested, then? Plenty of words to go with them: vile, villainous, vexing, voracious...
>>78374361
>how did we all forget that Queen is a Q word?
Too obvious.
>>78372955
Even marley is surprised
>>78372799
Fair enough
>>78374361
We could go with a quiz in the sense that it's part of her school life.
>>78374361
Couldn't think of any Q words to go with it.
>>78375574
Quixotic Queen, but that's another hard one to illustrate
>>78375574
Quantity
>>78374741
Does mom have freckles like Marley does?
>>78375861
I think mom had the freckles and dad had the black hair, but I could be wrong.
Okay, here's my attempt at Quiz Quest. I don't know if it reads well though. (Not really questy. Or quizzy. This is the worst letter ever)
>>78375965
>Not really questy. Or quizzy
You did this to yourself. Looks fine, suitably golden age.
>>78375861
Yeah i forgot to put freckles on both of them, but the fixed version has them
>>78376016
I think it might end up being Quiz Quandry.
By the time this is done this comic is going to make us all much better at scrabble.
>>78375965
By the time this pic is don I wonder if it'll end up being too large in file size to post here.
Also, "quarrel" is a Q word that means fight.
>>78376096
How about Quiz-master Quandry or Quiz-master's Quandry?
It sounds more organic and we can have a new villain as part of the deal.
>>78376078
Wonder just how freckley they are further down.
>>78375965
H could be somthing-Heist, High Stakes Heist, High Society Heist.
D could be Disappearing or Disappeared
Diamonds and it could show GG and SQ investigating a crime scene to provide some variety.
B could be somthing like Breakfast Blunder and show somthing really mundane like GG running out of milk or cornflakes.
P could be Potted Peril and have GG trapped in a giant pot, could be a cooking pot over some flames or maybe somthing like a terracotta pot with an uprooted plant sitting comically on her head.
>>78375965
>>78306920
Yawnsome Yacking?
Someone keeps droning on and on about something causing her to fall asleep in Z.
>>78376661
Maybe something with the Yakuza, or on a Yacht.
>>78376792
I've been trying to suggest panels that lead into each other instead of jumping from sequence to sequence.
I don't think the yakuza had much presence (if any) in America so soon after WWII.
>>78376403
Shoulder and chest freckles are best
>>78368983
Well there's these guys.
They still haven't found a solid place in all of this.
>>78375965
J - Jousting Jetpacks
>>78376991
Butt freckles are pretty cute too.
>>78377888
>Trips
>First J suggestion for this character
>It's *not* Jumping Jacks
You're the best, anon. You are just the best.
any artists wanna draw together in a google hangout?
>>78370040
That's a point. What kinds of bike do other bikers in the /coc/verse have?
Bees totally has some classic Harley style modelwith Venus on the back in tight jeans
Just checking in to let you fine folks know that your ideas got us off to a great start with the holiday special! We've got a nice little something cooking up, hopefully we can get it to you before the new year.
Ha ha! References!!
That was an ordeal. Good news though! We are now 13/26 letters done which means that this has reached the 50% mark. Also Sarah and Audrey have a new villain, the Quizmaster.
(I just want his henchmen to be called Quizlings)
I feel like I should also draw something christmas related but right now I don't feel like drawing anything other than something sad or edgy.
>>78379873
Draw someone alone on Christmas feeling sad about it. Isn't the holiday season incredibly high for suicides?
>>78379873
A /coc/ character with dead family sitting by themselves on Christmas day.
Paper hat and cheap pre-decorated table-top tree is optional.
>>78380009
>>78380013
Or....
>Tatyana comes from a Slavic nation
>They celebrate Christmas in January
>By the time it's her Christmas everyone's packed everything away and doesn't care any more
>"M-M-Maybe next year, right guys?"
>>78379873
An edgelord unwrapping a scythe shaped present.
>>78376626
>Highflying Hooligans!
>crooks escaping on jetpacks
Thus leading to SQ and GG evening the odds in >>78377888.
I also agree that Y should GG yawning as a prelude to Z.
>>78379873
Something with Colette and Stretcherous, since both have big sisters gone from their lives?
>>78378428
Can't wait!
>>78382154
She got the booty. Do you ever sleep dude?
>>78382233
With my work schedule i am always up at night
I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, but I'm just trying to let an Anon know I'm still getting on with something.
It's just a picture response to this guy's idea.
>>78356154
I'll get it finished and scanned soon and put it in the delivery booru, then it's in God's hands.
>>78358139
>tfw no Club Titty Monster with Letterman jackets that say "mega milk" on the back
In all seriousness though how many /co/ titty monsters are there? And I mean tits big enough to really set them apart from the rest. The only ones I can think of are Briana and GG, with Ma'am being there too even though she cheats.
>>78378428
Cute.
>>78379453
It's a shame the only time anyone ever wants to draw together is in the wee hours of the morning.
So what should her armor be made of? If her race made it, how do they do metal (or whatever it is) working? Do they use heat to shape it or some other method?
>>78379558
Quizmaster looks a might familiar.
Nothing wrong with that though.
And half way! That's a lot of progress the past few days.
>>78382154
That is an impressive butt. Maybe one day Marley will inherit that.
>>78382850
Is anyone even around right now that would be interested in a flockdraw?
>>78383215
I might be.
>>78383366
Well, you can join me while I embarrass myself trying to use a tablet if you want.
http://flockmod.com/cove
Must be some high quality rope.
>>78383965
Does Colette do anything other than get tied up?
>>78384467
She breaks loose and punches people. After the sexy tied up poses.
>>78384467
It'd be nice if she'd get drawn punching things more often, but punching is probably harder to draw than being bound and gagged.
>>78384467
I dunno, you tell me.
>>78384467
Well she gets tied down to things too...
>>78384467
She's /d/'s fucktoy.
>>78368121
>Colette has given birth twice
>no pregnant art of her
>>78384676
If she had gagged her with her arm or something this would be porn.
>>78384903
I feel sure she's never given birth to anyone and yet somehow has children. Hence her confused expression in so much art with her "kids"
>>78384930
Her being accidentally impregnated by /d/ is part of Deelette's origin though.
>>78383644
Not a ton of activity, but we got something done.
>>78384959
Succubus babies develop quickly.
/co/lette was probably only pregnant with Deelette for like a day.
I assume she had a more normal pregnancy with Kay-2.
>>78385348
Neat.
>>78382437
There's like 5 max and even then it's kind of a stretch depending on your definition. In terms of size I think it goes Ma'am (on venom), Bri, Audrey, and then a rather significant step down to Star Striker and Collette. The former of which isn't really all that notable (GG has already got like 3x the amount of art on the booru) and the latter is mostly a standard cape woman size and is fairly proportionate.
It's hardly every character like some anons are claiming but the ones we have are popular enough and tend to have their own series so it seems like more.
>>78385820
Demona isn't a succubus or a demon, despite the name. She's something else entirely.
>>78384467
The whole reason she got into the hero business is to satisfy her submission fetish.
>>78385956
Honorary membership could be redeemed by Stretcherous, Blackstrap and Delta.
>>78385348
>>78385800
Love how the PK came out. Don't know who those two in the blue/white and red/black are, but I'm digging their design.
Was is just Gob and Roillz in the flockdraw?
>>78385985
Maybe in your version, but not mine.
>>78382154
Motherhood will do amazing things for Marley.
>>78386059
Blue/white is Rime, and red/black is Calor. They're Motion villains. Whoever was drawing them also drew the PK and symbiote, and was using a triangle for their name.
>>78386059
In >>78385800 it's Rime and Calor, they're part of Motion's rogues gallery.
>>78386059
>red/black
That's Ladybug, dude.
>>78382319
that anon here.
Thanks again for all this again! It looks so good atm and i can`t wait to see the finished product
>>78385956
Yea I'd definitely put Bri at #1 and GG at #2. Colette is more like a standard, once you exceed her by a certain amount you enter titty monster territory. What if GG was Bri's sidekick? Bri/the BQ guys in the golden age 50s universe of GG sounds like it would be pretty entertaining.
And we're back.
>>78386319
I doubt GG would ever sidekick for anyone other than SQ.
If anything GG would probably try to educate Bri with more book smarts in exchange for whatever the secret to her bras are.
>>78386828
Bri is pretty smart, she's just socially retarded. A lesson on how not to converse like an autist would be much better than any educational lesson. Bri wouldn't be able to help her much in the bra department since a running gag is that hers break all the time, although if GG is smaller she could just wear one of Bri's. Imagine GG's disappointment when she finds out there isn't a trick for Bri's mobility since she just has super powered back muscles.
>>78386933
Imagine GG's surprise when she finds that Bri's bras are actually too big for her.
Though it might alleviate those dreams she has about the giant bra and the missiles.
>>78368770
To whomever uploads pics from the /coc/ threads to the /co/ booru, this was not drawn by Endpiece, this was drawn by ENN4096 on /d/ in one of the threads discussing Deelette.
As was this pic and about six others.
>>78387194
>GG finds out someone has a bigger rack than her
>unexpectedly consumed with jealousy
If you could pot a /coc/ in peril, who would it be?
>>78387284
Briana, just because she's so powerful I'd be interested to see what it takes to put her in peril.
>>78386319
Man GG is short as hell. Who's shorter, her or Marley?
>>78388646
I don't think that pic is properly scaled, is it?
GG will be decently tall when the rest of her body catches up.
That pic of her with her future self confirms that much.
>>78388938
I think the scaling is unintentionally accurate. Bri is 5'10" and GG is supposed to be around 5 flat, the pic seems about right.
>>78379558
Balanced breakfast - the food is getting on top of her boobs while she eats.
Or she's balancing on a beam or other object while trying to eat on the run.
>>78386247
It's pretty much done, I'll get you a scanned copy of the lineart, it'll appear here or in Batman.
>>78389723
Was yoga popular in the 50s?
>>78387194
>>78306436
I just had a thought: Instead an alarm, "Abrupt Awakenings" could have Audrey jolting awake after one of her boob dreams.
>>78379558
Stumbled across another good one that could be used for an SQ panel:
>Junoesque Justice!
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/junoesque
>>78389751
It was around. Don't know how popular, but it wasn't unknown.
>>78379558
>Gymnastic Gaffes!
>GG's old reflexes and new center of gravity come into conflict
>>78389835
That was actually one of the alternatives I thought up with the awakening suggestion, but I decided not to post that idea since I was trying to make them all lead into the next one.
>>78393182
I think the concept of the comic works a little better if they don't lead into each other. More disconnected makes the day come off as even crazier and hectic.
>>78389835
>>78393182
Trying to figure out what sleepwear was like back in those days but her waking up could make for a nice bookend.
>>78382850
I have no idea what you're talking about I don't recognize Quizmaster at all he's totally not wearing a green mask either.
>>78389543
Something with balancing seems appropriate.
>>78391765
If you have a picture idea I'm all for it. It was either that or something with evil jesters, but we've already given her a Riddler ripoff, so...
>>78388646
Not sure who's shorter but I've been under the impression that before her growth spurt Audrey is a womanlet. Like, 5 nothing, gymnasts build. Then after about 3 more years of puberty she ends up an amazon.
>>78384903
Actually one of her first pictures was. (The fact that it was back when she had a ginger secret identity form should show how old it is)
>>78393501
>If you have a picture idea I'm all for it.
I was actually thinking something relatively simple. SQ posing heroically, with GG doing likewise and looking admiringly up at her mentor.
>>78391765
>>78393501
I prefer the jetpacks idea.
>>78382154
>>78372356
HNNNNNNNNNG
you are pretty good Rad.
Would /Coc/ support a patreon to make comics for /Coc/?
>>78386059
>implying I was in the flockdraw.
I wish I was
>>78393680
Outline how that would work.
>>78393620
I'll give the jetpack idea a try because if nothing else we can have it be H for high flying, but the finer details could probably stand to be ironed out (liek, who specifically is using a jetpack, and if it's SQ/GG, is that something they have regular access to now?)
Also while we're on the lore subject how do they figure out where crimes are happening? Is there a red phone or a bat signal or what?
>>78393725
I haven't honestly thought it out
1-5 dollars gets a vote into what character would get a comic each week/month
More money can get cameos in the comics or maybe get personal commissions
Down for more ideas too
>>78393822
Maybe instead of jetpack jousting it's janky jetpacks. GG, being a gadget maker, has made a jetpack but it doesn't work as planned.
>>78393822
I figured they'd have an alarm that alerts them to when they are needed (hence that A suggestion), but how that alarm knows I figure might be because Sarah Sterling is rich and has an individual well versed in making connections and gathering information (Lucìa Delgado) in her employ.
Otherwise they're just wandering the city aimlessly looking for plots to foil.
Or maybe there's a magical alarm because of those bracers, but I think that's making them do too much.
They probably have a cave or a vault or something filled with magical artifacts taken from criminals which SQ managed to purchase legally after they were returned to whomever they were stolen from in the first place because she is very rich.
>>78386828
I think she would do it on a temporary basis.
>>78391765
I really like this one since it's a good place to focus on silver queen. I feel like she should get more than one panel.
>>78393620
>>78393822
I don't think GG and Silver Queen should have access to that kind of tech.
What about a villain in a stereotypical mook outfit holding two moneybags swooping overhead while people look on?
Is it ok to post characters you have created?
>>78394025
I'd wait for an OC thread unless your're willing to give said character up for the use of the board.
>>78394012
Dude people in the golden age had wacky dumb science shit like jetpacks all the time. That's like the least offensive thing in terms of gadgetry. Besides it's not like a real practical jetpack, it obviously fucks up. Furthermore, this is an A-Z collage of silliness, not a fucking character bible.
>>78393822
>>78394012
>What about a villain in a stereotypical mook outfit holding two moneybags swooping overhead while people look on?
Highflying Heist!
>>78393898
>Jetpack Justice!
>GG wearing her own jetpack, soaring toward the crook from H and ready to give him a rocket-boosted right hook
>>78394025
It's fine if you're looking for feedback and are OK with other people doing stuff to/with them.
>>78394229
Pretty good idea anon.
>>78393840
Anon people aren't going to give you money unless they know what they're going to get out of it BEFORE they give it to you. Also there's a fucking entire myriad of shit in /co/, and let's be frank, a lot of it is scattered, half-put together garbage. My advice would be to pick 1 project and stick with that until you see some modest success. Instead of a /coc/ Patreon, do a BQ Patreon, and say "we're only doing BQ". Or pick the /co/verse and collab the heroes. Or do something with that Erin character anons are always trying to convince people isn't stupid. Or /co/ntainment. Basically what I'm saying is trying to do them all at once is a recipe for failure.
>>78379558
>Dinosaur Danger!
>GG fighting dinosaurs because why not
>>78393501
>Something with balancing seems appropriate.
>Bedeviled Balance!
>GG walking a tightrope with difficulty, like in that one Billy comic suggestion
>>78379558
You know I just realized that Lunch only has 1 word while the rest have 2. How about "Leaky Lunch".
>>78393840
So for anyone who pays in, they only have a chance of getting what they actually want to see? If I'm putting money into something on a regular basis, I'd rather pay for something that I like.
>>78394851
I'm pretty sure that's the joke.
>>78393840
Frankly you'd probably just end up getting pocket change. These threads are pretty small and only a small fraction of people here would contribute (probably a much lower proportion than the normal population of most websites).
>>78394822
That got drawn already though, the balancing with the boobs getting in the way idea.
If B ends up with breakfast, and L is lunch, does the comic actually get to dinner before she passes out?
>>78395294
We can change it up. Make it an overhead angle, and she's walking over a vat of acid or something. Just because something's been drawn once doesn't mean it can never be drawn again.
>>78395371
I know, I'm just making an effort to suggest things that haven't been drawn before.
Though all the A-Z stuff has made me think up another comic idea for a different strip.
>>78395848
And a very Marley Christmas to you too.
>>78395848
Santa got slim.
>>78395848
She's not wearing her helmet, so she isn't doing superhero related business, meaning this must be a personal visit.
Which begs the question of what's in the bag.
>>78396388
Assorted sex toys, several large boxes of condoms, and Naked Munchkinâ„¢ (she's still a huge nerd).
>>78395848
That's a very high tech Santa jacket.
>>78393620
I do like the Rocketeer, so we have a mad scientist with a jetpack. I don't think it merits two panels though.
>>78395371
I do have a rough sketch of her over a vat of acid that we could use for one of these up in >>78374361
. Maybe Hostage Horrors or something like that.
>>78395435
What's your idea?
>>78396816
Yeah, I like the sound of Hostage Horrors. The jetpack panel is looking excellent, too.
>>78396816
Essentially a re-tweaking of >>78306436
Panel one GG jolts out of bed because a hero alarm is going off
Panel two she's struggling to get her costume on while running (like hopping on one leg)
Panel three she gets stuck in the door on her way out
Panel four she's dealing with the speed of the bike causing her boobs to not be cooperative
Panel five she's punching someone in the face (I can't think of any suitable boob joke for this one, thought it might be funny if the joke is they don't stop her from doing that at least).
>>78396816
This is good shit.
It's Christmas Eve.
Time to see if this thread will keep going or not.
How many heroes in the /co/verse are going to spend Christmas alone?
>>78398758
None of them, probably. I think everyone has a few friends or family. Even Briana has a gang she can spend Christmas with and she lives in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
>>78378218
>>78379453
I'm digging this. Got a story for it?
>>78400618
only a character concept.
She's from a low light/high gravity planet and in turn, her race is pigmentless and have very dense muscle.
her race enjoys gladitorial combat and she is one of their champions. (or perhaps she is a fledgling gladiator, that might be more endearing)
The ometetol also enjoy a more advanced symbiote oriented gladiator combat, and in that vein have kidnapped many of her race as battle fodder. She may have been one of her race that were kidnapped, maybe she won her freedom/escaped and made her way on a courier ship to earth.
It's an idea at least.
gonna draw for a bit starting after i brush my teeth
http://flockmod.com/cove
>>78400795
Should I know who these are?
>>78401142
Nah, nobody does. As far as I'm aware it's just an anon trying to force his OC donuts teals.
>>78382154
now draw her wearing Ladybug's outfit
>>78400795
Have you been practicing? This looks a lot cleaner.
>>78401142
Archenemy, Ghost, and Theta.
They're out of costume.
We've been talking about them for the past couple of months at least, but they're not on the wiki yet.
>>78402659
Maybe it's like >>78401685 posted? I too only ever see the one dude talking about them.
>>78405096
But I talk about them too.
I was the one who suggested time travel play a role and there have been at least two other anons aside from me as well as Thatcher discussing them.
I think I actually bring them up more than Thatcher does because I like the idea so much.
>>78402659
Well, I don't know about improving .
Their poses aren't dynamic so it doesn't take much to draw them out.
>>78405096
That's what I get for pushing something without much public appeal.
The fact that they were initially created in a story centric manner rather than the characters themselves puts it in a really odd spotlight
>>78405776
>much public appeal
Shit, dude. It's not like anything here has the push of something that's a marketeer wet dream. And not to dump on you, but your stuff seems super generic, dangerously close to falling into bland territory. Not that everything here is the paragon of originality, mind you.
The designs are fine, but the whole thing's a bit forgettable. At least to me.
>>78406054
If you mean the story, I think I have clearly stated in the past that it's plot is very open to various writers and the time traveling was just ONE of the ideas on how it unfolds.
It just had to be three people's lives converging into a city, fake heroism and everyone's point of view on what it means to be a hero in their time.
>>78405776
I was more referring tot he lines being cleaner than usual.
>>78406054
I dunno, I like it. I don't really entirely get it but I think there's potential there.
>>78402466
i like it, is it /coc/ oc?
Talk to me about your setting.
>>78406482
It's just Breast Quest.
>>78406482
It's just Breast Quest bump dump.
>>78402500
But which outfit?
Any /coc/ characters doing anything for Christmas day that's not secular?
>>78407757
What do you mean "not secular"?
Like not traditionally?
>>78407757
Fighting crime?
>>78394822
>Bedeviled Balance!
Thought of a new idea for this one: GG training like in >>78329846, which is much more difficult for her than it used to be.
>>78407860
>>78408131
"not secular" = traditional, religious
Any religious /coc/ characters going to Christmas mass, lighting a Christ candle, or cooking/eating a traditional Christmas meal.
>>78409481
Which /coc/ characters actually are religious in the more traditional sense?
>>78411348
Nobody I think. Either that or no one has gone into these character's religious leanings.
>>78411348
I did ask before if there were any Paladins or Fiend Hunters in /coc/ but I think there were none.
>>78411348
I think Marley would be a prime candidate for some christmas traditions. She's young, has a family, and a somewhat normal home life. Maybe she and her family go to church on Christmas Eve and sing hymns or something.
H and J are done. I went a little rogue on the caption for J because I think it works better.
Also now there's a generic mad scientist in their rogues gallery. He was only going to show up in the J panel but then I realized that none of the villains we had already would really make sense to use a vat of acid.
Also also, I've got several different takes for the Bedeviled Balance (Balance Blunders Blundered Balance? Balance Blight?) panel, tell me which one I should go with.
>>78413445
Excellent!
>>78413445
Fantastic! Loving the mad scientist design.
As for Balance, I'd go with either the first one (in the A panel) or the last one (in the G panel).
>>78413445
I like the second balance panel.
>>78411527
A lot of them celebrate Christmas anyway, but not the way that anon is asking.
>>78411947
There are a couple paladins, pic related is one of them.
>>78413420
I thought she had a stained relationship with her mom and her dad died of a heart attack some years ago.
Also she's in her 20s I think.
>>78411348
>>78411527
Motion at least comes from a Catholic family.
>>78415037
I guess Motion does something else for the holidays then.
I wonder if Motion and Delta just spend the holidays together since Motion's relation to her family is too tense and Delta doesn't have many legitimate options for who to spend them with.
That's probably a terrible temptation to turn into someone else for the holidays and spend time with their family.
>>78414007
I sense a team up here.
>>78417252
I've suggested it before, actually.
I'm not sure if they get power from the same divinities though.
Apollo there is an exemplar who radiates happiness, so I'm not sure if he's even divine.
He could still be a paladin though, could've been one even before his powers kicked in.
>>78415654
Motion has her boyfriend's family, possibly. Del probably does spend it alone.
>>78418212
Delta can turn its hands into little finger puppets of people it likes and pretend to eat Christmas dinner with them.
>>78414007
>>78417387
>tush touch
Fucking adorable.
>>78417387
Being an Exemplar is a magical condition, so the rules are somewhat open. Part of Tantrum's abilities have been suggested to be linked to the demon color magic, so another Exemplar being linked to a specific magic source is a possibility.
>>78418825
The gang's all here....
>>78419575
Clearly shirking their holy duties by touching tush with a foul creature of darkness, though.
>>78411527
About the only ideas that are directly religious that I can think of was the not-Crusading/Jihading fairies, that each drew on Christian and Islamic readings in to Fae-like folk. Don't really think that went anywhere though.
Christmas is canceled.
>>78420626
I approve of religious zealot fairies.
Even more so if it's all wrapped in the story of a young girl/boy being transported from our world to what they assume to be a magical realm of wonder, only to be given a sword to fight for the deity of choice.
this thread has survived longer than I thought it would.
>>78419628
He could have that appearance because he was a devout follower of something before the emotion needed to trigger his powers kicked in.
>>78420662
Nothing like an early morning Christmas smack down to get the jolly flowing.
>>78421328
Some sort of monotheistic nature God?
Like a tree from which all life began as fruit on its branches, before dropping in to the cosmic earth and growing in to the creatures of the earth. The higher the fruit the grander the being, with the fairies of course being the highest of the fruits.
Also the earth bound by its roots is the source of the ground they live in, with their belief being that they live "under" the tree, "above" the root system. Some trees are holy because they're springs from this great root system.
>>78421732
It's a Christmas miracle.
>>78421886
I approve of Norse Fairies.

>>78422913
Why's that music so fucking sinister. Sounds like something that would play over some shadowy villain montage.
>>78423870
Or some sort of blood ritual.
>>78423870
>>78424370
There's literally nothing wrong with sacrificing your captured enemies to spill their blood to the feeding roots of the great cosmic tree.
