Before anyone was able to say anything, the blaring announcement that team JNPR's match was set to begin mercifully cut through the uncomfortable silence and jolted everyone to action.
"Jaune, can we head to the lockers real quickly? I want someone else to confirm Milo's action is working properly..." Pyrrha spoke first, quickly getting to her feet and grabbing Jaune's hand.
"What?-But I don't know anything-" Jaune tried to protest, his face still locked on his two other teammates.

"Uhhhhh...." Ruby began. She wanted to stay behind and see what happened next, but she also recognized this was something that demanded privacy. Unable to decide between the two, she was reduced to wringing her hands and looking between her teammates for guidance on what to do next.
Weiss recovered first and hustled the lot of them out of there, a high pitched "eeeeeeeeee" seemed to be leaking from Yang as she was forcibly pulled away by the combined efforts of Ruby, Weiss and Blake.
That left the noodle stand owner who finally got the hint and quickly grabbed all the bowls from the counter and hustled to the back, leaving the a very flustered half of Team JNPR still sitting in silence.
Nora still hadn't said or done anything other than grow a yet deeper shade of red. Ren coughed nervously trying to figure out what to do, his impulsive act of affection seemed to have backfired spectacularly.
"So uh...we should probably start making our way over to the Arena Nora...don't want to be late do we?" He asked, his voice reflecting the uncertainty his normally ordered mind was full of at the moment.
His gentle words finally reached through to the little trembling Valkyrie. With a small nod she unsteadily slid off the stool along with him. They walked through the festival grounds in silence, neither looking at one another as they reached the competitors entrance.
They had gone a few feet down the tunnel towards the main arena when Ren suddenly noticed that Nora wasn't following him. Turning he saw her standing in the middle of the dimly lit stone corridor. Though her face was partially obscured by shadow, there was no hiding the shaking shoulders or muffled whimpering that came from his dearest friend.
Quickly walking back towards her he reached out to hug her and calm her down. He had a whole method for bringing her down from the worst of her episodes, surely this would-

Taking a few quick breaths she finally steadied herself and glared back at Ren, her eyes crackling dangerously with hints of her semblance.
"Why now Ren? Why just before our match? All these years I've tried to...I've wanted you, and you never made any kind of sign that I was anything more than a friend!"
"Well I-" Ren tried to defend himself but the tiny Valkyrie would not be interrupted.
"What does this mean!? Are we just friends? Was that some stupid joke or something? Because it's not funny! Are we together? Or Together-Together? Answer me dammit!"
Tears were now falling amidst the sparks from her eyes.

"Together-Together Nora. For now, and forever." He grinned, and with a quick flash of movement, bent down and planted a soft kiss on her lips. "Boop." He whispered.
With a shuddering gasp Nora embraced Ren like a life preserver, returning the kiss with a vigor borne of her electric semblance and lifting him off the ground in her excitement. Ren was about to start tapping her head to release the pressure when a 2nd announcement over the PA system urging JNPR to get to their stations broke them apart.
"Come on Nora, lets give them a fight they won't forget. Lets-"
"-BREAK THEIR LEGS!" She squealed and skipped forward, pulling Ren towards the Arena entrance and the rest of their life together.

A wild girl from outside the kingdoms, still a little bit feral with little social tact or grace. Whirls about in combat with two axes, little concern for personal well-being since she has complete confidence in Jazz patching her up. Shortest on the team, thin and scraggly, somewhat underdeveloped. Frizzy, messy red hair, big innocent blue eyes. Red colour theme. Needs new clothes all the time since they have a tendency to get all shredded and ruined. Always has a crazy grin like she's about to do something she isn't supposed to, and she probably is.
Notelea Johnson (No)
Tall, strong and delicious brown. Apathetic, snarky and blunt, uses minigun/drill gauntlets for maximum cuhrazy. Easily the tallest on the team, one and a half heads taller than Jazz. Ruby was tired of these Mistrali exchange students, running around and causing havoc.
Between Neptune ruining her chances with Weiss, and Sun preventing Yang from even getting near Blake, it looked like Haven Academy's top-level classes were on cockblocking.
Even that Emerald girl wouldn't stop trying to get into her good books. God, she must have learnt the art of sucking up from a supercharged vacuum cleaner.
Uncle Qrow had always told the girls never to trust a Mistrali, and only now Ruby was realizing what he had meant.
Yang agreed with her of course, but what could they do? Two helpless girls against an entire country.
That's when Ruby had met her. The solution to all their problems. The only person from Mistral who wasn't a filthy degenerate. Of course, this was because she wasn't really from Mistral.
She had actually infiltrated Haven Academy in order to bring the whole place down. Not even her teammates knew. Even now, Ruby marveled at Cinder's deceptive skills.
But she wasn't just an ally, she was also an opportunity. A chance for Ruby and Yang to strike back at the kingdom that had taken the loves of their lives.
Cinder already had everything in place, the match would be set up. Yang vs Mercury, a proud huntress of Beacon vs a skulking sneak of Haven.
All she had to do was inform Yang about the plan. They hadn't talked about in private, for fear of the plan leaking out, so Ruby had to say something innocuous.
Only Yang would understand the message in her words, and know what she would have to do. As long as she didn't fail in this, Mistral would be no more.
Cinder had assured the success of this plan, and she had never lied to Ruby beforehand. The two sisters trusted their contact, and she trusted them.
Now all Ruby had to do was yell as loudly as she could from her front row seat, knowing her sister would hear her.
