What made Winter Soldier the best Marvel film?
they didnt ruin any pre-established characters
Consistently great leads, great action, intimidating villain via Bucky, and humor that felt more natural
They let the world feel a little bigger by having Batroc in there, but found no need to shoehorn him into the third act of the movie. That's a hard temptation to resist.

The show has done a good job laying a foundation for it having happened. Their interactions are thoughtful.
Now, I think the characters are cute together, but if people don't happen to "ship" it or want them to "end up" together (they seem to have dated and then broken up in the past, after all, which might actually indicate they don't work in the long run), that's fine. That's just personal and subjective.
But why have any issue with them having dated? This is the most innocuous sort of couple I can imagine. So honestly, why?

I just watched all the episodes of Steven Universe and while I enjoyed the ride, I don't think I could fully comprehend it.
