What did you think of Asterios Polyp, /co/? Compelling philosophical narrative or an artsy comic with its head up its own ass?
>>81435148
It's been awhile since i read it, but certainly one of the best uses of the medium, on par with what chris ware does, or what deforge does
It's a bit hipster trash, but I still found stuff to enjoy in it
A little of both but more of the former to make it overall a good experience
Is it possible for something to be artsy or avant-garde without all the negative connotations of those phrases? Like, shit. I loved Asterios Polyp and thought it did what it did super well.
The same concept might have been shittily handled with another artist, but Mazzuchelli executed it pretty well.

What do you guys feel about stop-motion animation?
Any little-known animators you happen to follow online?
Personally I love it, and can't wait for Kubo and the Two Strings to come out.
honestly though, this is all just an excuse so I can post Plamo0's work here.

I've always had a fondness for stop-motion.
One of my earliest memories were days spent watching Wallace and Gromit on vhs.
Now he isn't really "little-known", I honestly don't think he's known enough.
Talking about Jans Svankmajer.
I always make some time during the year to watch all of his videos. They're just so fascinating. Still haven't seen Alice in its entirety though.

Those are pretty damn good for an independent production. I can't imagine how difficult it was to properly sync the cartoon on the laptop with the animation.
Everything and anything Laika will always be a joy to watch
Who's the best Scott Pilgrim character
And why is it Stephen Stills
>>81433441
Who's the most underage poster on /co/
And why is it OP
Scott, just because he actually has some decent character development. Maybe a little weighted too much to the second half, but he has a nice arc from being a self-centered prick to caring about the people around him.
Your mother and I are very disappointed in you for not saying Wallace
Is Venom ever going to be redeemed on the silverscreen after his awful appearance in Spiderman 3?
I thought he was getting his own solo movie
>>81433119
They're pushing for it, but they need a successful Spiderman franchise for that to happen. Maybe with this new Sony/Marvel Spiderman already being established they can skip a bunch of story and goblin shit and go write into Venom.
>>81433006
Not like there's much to redeem. Venom/Brock is pretty bland and only popular because of his constume design, movie writers will always change his character quite a bit because of that.
If New Genesis and Apokalips are multiversal constants, how can Wonder Woman's backstory exist? How can what happened with Highfather and Darksied have happened?

whole bunch of cooked servants there. can demons be cooked? we know they can be eaten raw, but can a trapped fragment of cosmic fire be set on fire and/or cooked.
Also, is this before or after the ceremony
