Was there ever a celebrity death that actually bummed you out? Pic related
Same as you
>>681179644
prince was an extraordinary musican and person, so him
kurt cobain's suicide. i was 14 years old, they were absolutely my favorite band. this was when bleach, nevermind and incesticide had been released. fucking killed me.
Ben Lovegrove

>>681180437
I'd have to go with this, and Bowie.
Same OP. Him and robin Williams.
I cried for both. My parents were sort of clocked out as u was growing up and basically all i had was tv and music to "teach" me about life and what not.
Both of them helped me accept myself despite being a little fucking weirdo.
Robin was like my second dad and bowie felt like the cool big brother who had my back.
Knowing the 2 most influential men in my life had passed on crushed me and it still does. I just love the fact that thanks to their celebrity status that they will always be remembered and whenever i want to see them i can just go to youtube and feel like theyve never left...which is hard to say about family and friends...sometimes when theyre gone youre not left with much proof that they were alive
>>681179644
Lemmy Killmister.
Kurt cobain and recently Scott weiland from STP
>>681180458
I was about to say the same fucking thing. Hit me pretty hard dude.
Michael Clarke Duncan

Don Vito
>>681179644

yes, a russian who died of heroin, but american celebritys, no
>>681181205
Don't be a faggot.
>>681180836
>>681181513
Cobain and Sublime were legit sad deaths. Scott Weiland was an old junkie who had been abusing drugs for like 50 years. He was a loser.
>>681181471
I second this. holy shit it was sad that he was bullied by russians and americans to kill himself.
>>681179644
Nope.
I mean it's a bummer some badass celebrity died at some point, but these faggots who get genuinely upset at a person they never knew, who never knew them, makes no sense for them to loose their shit. Fucking Faggots.
>>681179644
> Philip Seymour Hoffman
god tier actor
Steve Irwin and Ryan Dunn.
Grew up watching shows and movies with both.
Didn't cry though, was just bummed out.
>>681179644
Same Op... David Bowie's death really had an impact on me.
After hearing the last album (and i have to say some of his best work) I was just overwhelmed by the fact that he spent his final days being creative and giving us this gift of music. This was obviously his therapy.
The original demo version of ' tis a pity she was a whore' sounds like a declaration of war on his cancer.

>being this edgy
For some people much like >>681180796
It was all they had...some people dodnt have a good family or maybe didnt even have friends so that celebrity was all they might have had.
Both bowie and robin were big on telling others to be themselves and gave some sound words of advice at times. Its not weird for someone to appreciate a person whos words have helped them in life
I know she just died but Betty White's passing hurt the most
Paul Walker
sue me
Gandolfini and Robin Williams because of their screen presence.
>>681182861
Dont you dare talk about my ggmilf like that
>>681179644
Same with Bowie. I never listened to his music, but hearing about his death bummed me out.
I'd also have to go with Scott Weiland. I actually couldn't bring myself to listen to STP anymore until about a month ago.

I actually had the opportunity to sit down with David Bowie right after he released "Hours..." (which was a pretty dull period for him but one of my favorite albums because of Omikron). Really chill guy, fascinating to talk to. I only met him once but I ended that meeting feeling like I had met a true friend and I deeply mourned his passing.

That was beautiful anon. Actually shred a tear. My dad killed himself when I was 8. He left all his Bowie CD's to me. He sometimes said to me when I was growing up that when I was a baby and started to cry, he used to sing space odity to me and apperently that made me stop.
I dunno, when Bowie died I got thrown back in time when my dad left us. It literly broke me.

Sorry to hear that OP.
Robin hit me a bit harder than bowie only because i felt like he was more present everywhere.
I was also bullied a lot but robin managed to make me think happy thoughts even when things werent going right. He taught me that laughter was indeed the best medicine and hes what made me the goofball i am today. Honestly i struggle with some severe depression and i hope i dont end up following robins path but id like to hope he made an impact about people like him and me. Sometimes making others happy is the only momentary solice i get from my own life.
Ah im rambling

he was a former heroin user, kicked the habit for like 20+ years and relapsed during a down point in his life. I dont think anyone here can fathom how tough it is to remain clean from your drug of choice while being rich and famous. you could literally get it at a moments notice.

Agreed, OP. I listened to his new album on the day it came out, and I haven't been able to listen to it since. I'm so glad I got to see him in concert several times.
Strangely, as much as I enjoyed Prince, I feel more bummed over Chyna...and I'm not even a wrestling fan. She was a woman that was obviously troubled. She had one day where she could be remembered fondly, and she's been overshadowed by Prince.
She was dead for days before anyone found her, despite having a lot of fans. Kinda hits me in the feels...

He was such a great actor. After he died I went back and rewatched all the movies he was in, especially his lesser known performances.
The thing I liked about him was the way he conducted himself off camera. He was a legitimately down to Earth person, not a snobby, stuck up cunt. Brilliant actor too he could take on so many different roles. Just contrast his performances in Capote to playing a depressed widow in Love Liza. 10/10 performances.
Not only for German people.
