Alright, so I'll begin with sugar syrup. It's really easy. You just take one cup of water for every cup of sugar. You boil it until it's completely dissolved and then you put it in a jar and let it cool down :P
After that you could try different kinds of sugar, like cane and caster sugar, or add a vanilla stick. It's really sweet so I only use it for cocktails
