You'll need a cup of sugar, 4 cups of unsweetened pomegranate juice (the real deal, preferably fresh, also a bit more expensive), the juice of a quarter of a lemon (add more to taste), and a few drops of rose water (add to taste, i usually do about 3 drops).
Combine the sugar and juice and boil it until it has dissolved, keep stirring. Then let it cool down and add the lemon juice and rose water. The lemon juice adds a nice bite and the rose water makes it really smooth, don't put in too much though
