He was honorable to a fault, which I think is what makes me the most angry. He had the realm in his hands. The Starks could very well be ruling Westeros right now but he didn't have the gonads to do what needed to be done.
He was too honorable to play the game of thrones but I wouldn't call him a follower, he did win Roberts rebellion, and fucked off the Greyjoys. I suppose he's a great commander but a terrible politician.
