It's almost a certain Ichigo get some positive development in one way or the other now that his dad's on the scene. However I have no idea what the author plans do for Orihime because we were literally shown scenes where Orihime wanted to protect Ichigo but couldn't before the fight began. I can only see her going too far in protecting "Kurosaki-kun" now that she sees Ichigo is fighting blind.

I want Ichigo to calm down and go all freudian samurai poet (as he did it before, on Tensa Zangetsu and Gin ) on Yuwabach. And ask him why does he want to kill Ichigo now, even though the Yuwabach from 1000 years wanted Ichigo to live. I think he could manage to guiltrip him if he goes about this the right way.
Unless os course this fight is just another trial to ensure Ichigo reaches the peak of his strength and becomes the new ruler of both the spiritual world, and the real world.

They're still pretty far away and there's still a chance they'll come across Byakuya and Hitsugaya. There's also Ishida fighting someone on Yhwach's level, I doubt they'll skip over that if they're heading up the tower. Unohana was merely there to be a plot device to make Kenpachi stronger, she wasn't an important charact.
Yamamoto was old as fuck, killing him was okay.
The White Haired dude, I think his name is Utikate, I'm certain never did anything in the series outside of being the Right Arm of the Soul King and in the end all he managed to do was give more power to Yhwach. He was so irrelevant Kubo couldn't even bother to show his Bankai before killing him and I'm not certain we ever saw his shikai.

Reishi Manipulation is a Quincy technique in general but Rukia did learn it while in the Royal Realm so its possible she learned it from someone in the Royal Guard. We saw only a fraction of her training there.

I sort of liked the way Kubo did it because it gave this feeling of Sasakibe and Yamamoto being part of this very old and forgotten story that was never told because it's not the focus of the manga, but nevertheless that they were rich characters both. At no point does Zangetsu, the real representation of his shinigami powers; and also his hollow powers, EVER, states that--that is the case for him.
Ywach's shadow hates the rain, maybe due to old memories where the real Ywach lost everything--where he was the only survivor of the shinigami purge of the Quincy race, and where at the end of his own battle, he was left alone to bury those he lost. That and whenever some character dies, there's ALWAYS rain involved.

I forget the exact wording, but in an interview Kubo said that when he wasn't sure it was going to take off, he had an ending written in case Bleach got canned. He said he loved that ending and was glad he got to work it into the series even though it wasn't an ending anymore.
I think this was right before Byakuya arrived. I think the plan was that Ichigo would lose his powers fighting the big bad (which Kubo hadn't decided on yet) and that this is how the series would have ended.
Which is also why the Rukia shipping moments became so scarce after it. He didn't know what to do with her afterwards.

He had just literally done the poll colorspread the week before the orihime one, and you can tell that shippers took it to mean something, but all the guys in the spread are wearing suit jackets (or in grimmjow's case a furry prince charles jacket) and all have scarves (except grimmjow, who has fur)
the doublebreasted jacket and scarf is a recurring winter clothing theme for kubo. Don't read too much into it, especially when they're not actually matching colors.

With the Fullbring arc we got the Valentine's Day chapter of Ichigo cumming black swastikas while thinking about disappearing Rukia while Riruka talks about how Fullbring is actually the power of love. We got Rukia staring at the sky thinking about how amazing Ichigo is while he fights Ginjo. We got Ichigo and Rukia interacting in the hospital after the first Quincy Invasion.
Not even pre-SS arc had moments like that. There was only that once scene of Rukia looking at Ichigo after the Grand Fisher fight, and the abduction scene.

Well, to be fair they've spent a LOT of time together, and both were pretty much fully developed personalities when they split.
Rukia goes back to soul society and has all her crimes waived and Ichigo already comments days after that if Rukia was missing, Renji was the only logical place she'd be off hiding with, unless she was apologizing to the shibas.
Then they have months together before the arrancars. Then they have 17 months together during the timeskip. They basically spent 2 years together before they got attached at the hip quite so heavily. Pretty easily to slide back into the way they were before the split, considering they grew up together.
I think before that, the only real sync moment was the tag team beatdown they gave Ichigo.

Who here team masochist? I've been reading bleach for like 8 years now and I didn't always hate it. However, I was getting kind of tired of it few months before Naruto ended.
Now every week I rush through the latest Bleach chapter with minimal interest and seemingly every week the story crawls at a pace slower than the original Inuyasha anime. I don't even remember the last fight Ichigo had. Feels like it was Aizen.
Pretty much after the series should have ended a 2nd time the series was forever bad in my eyes. I've come 674 chapters deep and I want to see it end but eh. Maybe someday I will forget forever.
