Chapter 54
Yotsuyu buries Josefumi and runs away before the tsunami hit. Damo kills Norisuke, rapes Daiya and cuts out Kyo's eye. Then Hato summons Crimson King and she double teams him with Josuke.
Chapter 55
Jobin gets home and sees Damo, who he recognises. Damo orders Jobin to kill Hato and Josuke otherwise he'll reveal his 'secret'. Meanwhile, Yasuho decides to go to Josefumi's house to investigate after she faxed Josuke the picture. She gets there and finds that Josefumi's parents have been dead for a few weeks (killed by Damo at the same time Yotsuyu and the twins were after Josefumi) and that Karera was there waiting for her.
Chapter 56
Jobin is freaking the fuck out and decides that he has to kill Josuke and Hato. They escape and take the injured Kyo with them, but not without breaking Jobin's arm and ripping Damo's jaw clean off. Joshuu crawls out of the ocean covered in literal shit and crying, and Jobin orders him to help him dig a hole and bury Damo alive on their property as revenge for attacking the family and almost exposing his secret. Unknown to them, the place they bury him is near the lone pine and the grafted Rokakaka branch, and some of Yagiyama's remains have washed up nearby. Jobin resolves to kill Josuke and bring Hato back to try and clean up the mess he made. Then he tells Joshuu to take a shower.

Stands seem to randomly just appear, I know dio has something to do with it, like his existence brought them out or something but surely this will be explained a bit better?
Also in comparison to the other parts, yeah stands are fucking cool, but the actual users like jotaru isnt doing anything just standing their really kinda like a pokemon battle or something
this is kinda weird especially since people in the other parts were fighting themselves with the ripple and what not

It's not well explained for a while if I remember. I do know Parts 4 and 5 go much more in depth on the origin of stands.
Also the "feels like a pokemon battle" wears off eventually. The action speeds up and they don't have to shout their attack name everytime the use it, and even some of the better stand fights are battles of wits.

Tusk Act 4 is a homing bullet, as demonstrated in The World of Stars And Stripes. If you dodge it, Tusk Act 4 will run you down like it did Deigo, and Act 4 doesn't seem to give a fuck about time manipulation. The only counter is letting it hit you and severing the appendage before the infinite force spreads to the rest of your body. Given how it chased Valentine through dimensional barriers, I'm confident that Act 4 could chase Pucci through the Big Crunch.
Not to say that Tusk Act 4 is unbeatable or anything. Most of the people you listed would win by killing Slow Dancer before Johnny can get a shot off.
What's the budget like for part 4? I heard it was lower than part 3 but so far the animation seems solid.

I should've been more specific. The nail bullet can be dodged by timestop, but the stand itself doesn't give a shit about timestop, since it clearly taunted Diego when he first discovered Tusk. Dodging the nail itself buys you time, but the moment the nail hits something and Tusk catches you, you're going to need to amputate since Tusk will chase you for eternity.
I wonder if Tusk persists after Johnny's death? I imagine the infinite rotation would keep going, since the spin is a natural phenomena, but Tusk Act 4 is presumably dependent on keeping Johnny alive. Where does Tusk's powers start and the spin's powers end?

Johnny shoots Diego's groupies with several Act 4 nail bullets at once, but that might have been an artistic choice to show them dying in quick succession.
I'm flicking back through the final stretch of the race looking for the 'leaving the effective range' bit, but I can't find Deigo leaving Tusk's range. He stops time, walks past the bullet, and then the bullet hits the bridge and Tusk immediately runs back around to try and kill Diego.

Tusk is the ultimate attack, KC is the ultimate way of landing your attack. it wont mesh perfectly but it will definitely boost tusk a bit

The anime by nature is a derivative product of the manga. Budgetary reasons and the nature of the animation process ensures that the anime's art will never be as good as the manga's, no matter how good of an adaptation it is.
Plus, David Production puts in a lot of easter eggs for people who have already read the manga. By reading the manga then watching the anime, you get to enjoy the experience of catching those little references. You also get to watch the transfer between mediums and compare the original manga to the anime adaptation.

The point is having full color, motion, music, and voice actors is a more enveloping experience and if done well is preferred to silently readying black and white pages for hours on end. Especially since JoJo's style is much better when seen in motion. So you get to enjoy the full range of motion paralleled to the poses that make the manga quite renown.

I'm not gonna pretend to know the specifics of ownership for anime OSTs, but I'm guessing since it's on the Original Sound Track available for purchase with other original music then it's owned by Warner or David. It was probably composed by an in house composer most likely anyway, so they wouldn't have to pay anything or do any kind of paper work to reuse it in a project as long as it's another JJBA project (which it obviously is). That said, composers leaving companies is sometimes tricky like with the guy who composed all the music for the first few Halo games who left Bungie and they had a heap of lawsuits going on regarding who owned and owed what. Flashback man is actually Jesus living in Johnny's corpse. He pretends to be a normal human working at Damo's dry cleaning place and helping him move the Rokakaka when he needs to. This is just a cover as he's keeping tabs on Damo and the Rock Humans. More than 2000 years prior, Jesus sealed the 'Rock Devils' a bunch of Pillar Men like superhumans who are the Rock Humans ancestors who look like King Crimson for some reason. He's content to let the Rock Humans keep existing as long as they remain parasites and don't try to free their ancestors. He was on edge and following Yagiyama and Damo around on the day Josefumi and Kira fused because Damo was getting more and more agitated and saying that it'd just be easier to free the Rock Devils than try and live alongside humans, though he was still committed to peace and didn't want genocide. He shows himself to Josuke after Yagiyama leaves, and steals his memory with his Stand Guns N' Roses (which looks like a further evolved Tusk Act 4) so that the new Kirafumi fusion doesn't piss off Damo any further and risk him snapping and giving up on peace. He miscalculated severely.

It's how he gives orders, he doesn't seem to be taking them from anyone especially with how he decided to refocus on killing Kira and Josefumi and forget the Rokakaka, which seems really risky to do. And I feel like he doesn't clean up because that was Yagiyama's job. Damo has only showed up when someone managed to outsmart and them and steal from them without them noticing for 4 months and when 4 of his underlings died. The twins and Yagiyama seem to clean up just fine except for the fact that Yagiyama lost because Josuke didn't realise Rock Humans have a low lung capacity and that the twins were total jobbers. There's also the fact that there's been zero mention or even foreshadowing of anyone above Damo and the way he carries himself and speaks suggests that he's acting of his own accord entirely. And he probably used the word associates since he wasn't sure if Damo really had anything to do with their deaths, so outright telling someone that your buddies were up to no good while torturing them and then realising you got the wrong guy is a recipe for trouble. Now that Norisuke has confessed that he knows about Yagiyama, Damo has dropped all pretenses with him.
I mean we'll find out eventually but I just don't think there's another villain above him, unless they aren't his boss and just another character maybe related to them. The evidence seems to indicate pretty heavily to me that Damo is in charge, or at the least has incredibly free reins and no one else, not even the other Rock /humans give enough of a shit to call him up on his shit if he's potentially breaking orders.
I do feel like we're a good way into JJL and if Araki were to reveal a new villain now it would be the latest reveal in any part, even fucking Diavolo got some foreshadowing and was known as the Boss right from the beginning. I could be wrong but I just don't see it as likely honestly. Either way Damo is fucking based, he's one of my favourite characters if he's not a villain.

And it was kind of subtle and glossed over but in those early chapters Sasame said that Kira saw him using Fun Fun Fun on some girl at the beach to torture her, and Kira made it super clear that he'd fuck Sasame's shit up if they ever crossed paths again. Since th law couldn't punish Sasame because fucking supernatural shit, Kira took it upon himself to punish him in a way that wasn't just beating the shit out of him or killing him, so he constantly bullied him and humiliated him in front of women and when he as drunk and crying on the beach he shit talked him into biting his own fingers off. He also put a fucking bubble under his lip after elbowing him in the face and forcing him out of a restaurant. It was mostly because he thought Sasame was an awful person (he was) and decided to come up with cruel and protracted punishments for his crimes.

Shonen doesn't do much for me because for the most part it's just the same shit over and over again which dampens my enjoyment of a trope filled genre I would otherwise love. JJBA rectifies that so I could actually get into it. Part 7 and 8 actually being well written and having some philosophical merit was a nice surprise too.

I dunno. Probably unwieldy and he knew from his grandmother that DIO was way more competent than Kars' horde of literally who vampires. Also they were in a pre cell phone era and running short on time in a country with less of that kind of infrastructure. SPW finally turned up AFTER DIO was dealt with. I imagine their vans might have had UV lights on them for vampire hunting but they weren't needed by the time they finally got off their asses.

I definitely have watched shounen anime like DBZ and YYH when I was younger, but yea, these days I only really care about JoJo. Could never get into Bleach or Naruto, and One Piece is just too fucking long for me to get into. (Obviously JoJo is even longer but I REALLY liked JoJo.)

JoJo is super popular almost everywhere except English speaking countries. It's a combination of copyright issues and the fact that a lot of Westerners don't seem to 'get' the series (just fucking ask an animeonly what the appeal is). It's disappointing. I have a question could it be that the world is Jonathans stand and not Dio's?
I mean I thought it was kinda weird that Dio had hermit Purple and that his stand The World has the same ability as Star Platinum.
So I thought that the world is the stand of Jonathan Joestar and the abilities of The World were divided over his descendants or that the world has the power of every stand the joestars currently posses.
For example if Dio was still alive during part 4 he could use Crazy Diamonds ability too, because at that moment Josuke had developped his stand already.
Also I don't know if it is canon or not, but I hears that in the novel Over Heaven it was hinted that The World was Jonathan's stand.
