I can't think because I like Jojo hehe.
Good adaptation, they've made a few small tweaks to make it fit better as a TV show which I appreciate. My main problem with the Stardust Crusaders anime was that they tried to make it EXACTLY like the manga since it's the most popular part in Japan. It was fun as fanservice but if they'd handled it the way they're handling Diamond is Unbreakable it would have been far better. I can read the manga anytime I want so why would I watch an anime that's basically the manga rather than something that actually ADAPTS it into a new medium? It's a good season so far is what I'm getting at. And I'm glad they spent so much on the Bad Company fight, it was one of my favourites when I first read it as it was around when Stands finally clicked for me. Cool concept too.

And to add to it, they're going back to Part 2 budgeting methods where they use a more minimalist artstyle, and use crazy coloring to make bland shots more interesting. That way they can save the budget for where it really counts. Part 3's artstyle was way too detailed, and it only looked good when they had sufficient time and money to spend on the shots and animation. When it was rushed, it looked real bad, see ep 47 of Part 3.
The pacing is way faster paced too, they try to cram as much as they can into one episode, which I really think works better for television. JoJo manga's often slow pacing worked as a manga but it really dragged the fuck on in Part 3's anime. Part 1 adaption had this problem too.

It's been pretty great so far. I'm not sure how I feel about the colors with the sky being yellow instead of blue but that's a minor nitpick. Music is good, voice acting is good, even if they changed most of them around from ASB.
Animation is good. Great adaptation so far. Can't wait for Rohan and Kira. The Kira tease in the first episode was cool too.

Speaking as a non-manga reader, I'm enjoying it more than any other part so far. That's not to say I've not enjoyed the others, this has just gotten off to a much more interesting start.

2012. Season 1 Consists of Part 1 and 2. Episode 1-9 cover part 1 called Phantom Blood. And part 2 is Battle Tendency being episode 10-26. Then after that is Part 3 which is season 2. It's called Stardust Crusaders.

Watch the 2012 anime, it's just called Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, or Jojo Kimyou na Bouken. That has 24~26 episodes (If I remember correctly). The first 9 episodes cover Part 1, Phantom Blood. The rest covers Part 2, Battle Tendency.
Then, there is the 2014 anime, called Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. It has 48 episodes and covers the 3rd part, Stardust Crusarders.
And the new anime, called Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable/Diamond wa Kudakenai covers the 4th part. It is in it's fifth episode, but rumor has it that there will be 39 episodes.
Either way, watch the anime and the read the manga, it's really good. If you want my opinion, part 1 is slow but it's ok, part 2 is good but it stills misses the soul of the series, part 3 is a drag but it captures the soul of the series, part 4 is pretty well paced, it's not slow and not fast, it's the comfy part, part 5 is pretty fast paced and has the best fights in the series, but people bitch about it because the translations are a bit off, part 6 is well paced but it's not very memorable, other than the huge plot points it had, part 7 is long as shit but it's worth it, it's kind of an epic to be honest, and part 8 is the ongoing part, it's pretty cool, it's also a comfy part, but with mysteries and what not

Though I'm not so sure about a severed hand having the ability to hold onto things the way it did in the teaser. I get that one can argue about rigor mortis but that seems to be a real stretch.

I absolutely dont understand manga readers, how do they do it? And do they act all high and mighty
I'd take anime over manga anyday. Sometimes when I read a manga, the transition from picture to picture confused me as they would often look like different scenes entirely, especially when a fight was happening. I found reading manga boring as well, since you would just be sat there in silence, reading from paper. I read attack on titan and beserk and it was just boring and undynamic unlike the anime which is full of action and great music.

I started watching it, dropped it on episode 7, picked it up later and I got really excited after episode 8, with Dio vs Jonathan and Jonathan's death. Then I watched the whole thing and read the manga.
My mom was watching FMA with me at the time, so when we finished that she was like "What now" and I showed JoJo to her. She hated it at first, hated Jonathan on how goody-two-shoes he was, she...didn't hate, but disliked Speedwagon, because he didn't really add anything to...anything, he was just there for weirdly comedic purposes (I guess that's her reasoning) and she said Dio was the only truly interesting character. She would always point out when something ridiculous happened, like when Dire's head threw a rose or shit like that. Then she watched Battle Tendency, and she kind of got into it, but again, pointed a lot of flaws, on how Caesar's death was meaningless (Wammu literally heals all his wounds seconds later) and how Lisa Lisa was kind of useless, but she liked Joseph and the fights and such
Then, when that finished, she really didn't want to start Stardust Crusaders for some reason, maybe she was just like "Ok I watched your dumb manime now let me go back to my shoujos", but she ended up watching it and she loved how Jotaro was this big brute that almost never got hit and was basically y'know, this super strong guy that wasn't a goody two shoes like Jonathan (So much so she hated the "I'm going to give you time to heal your legs, and then I'm beating you" scene, because she thinks all that stuff about being right or hero-y is bullshit because the villains deserve the worst either way, and I kind of agree)
When we finished that she asked when the part 4 anime was coming out, and it was like, 2 weeks before the release day, so I said we should wait but no, she started reading the manga.
Right now she just finished the RPS Kid fight. She likes Josuke, Okuyasu and specially Koichi, she is indiferent towards Kira and despises Rohan.

I wont disagree that Jonathan gets unfairly shit on in the fandom, but there's really is not much to his character aside from being the typical shonen "nice guy" archetype. Not that it makes him a bad character, or even the worst JoJo IMO, but I've seen it done plenty times before.
Also, I really don't understand the logic of "x is objectively the best, but y is my favourite". if you can find more reasons to like Jonathan than Joseph, don't be afraid to say that he's your favourite JoJo.

This actually wasn't really the case in the beginning of the part 3 adaptation. They vastly improved the Avdol and Kakyoin fights in the beginning. So we'll see if part 4 keeps the quality up or if it becomes the same as part 3.

Yep, she is also usually pretty cold with the characters, like when Koichi got gut punched by Kira, she didn't really have any big reactions. I just remembered this because she seemed to really like the "Your face, that is" scene, and when Jotaro got blown by SHA she got mad at Koichi for being a prick, but she knows he is the father of Jolyne and that he comes back, so for now she knows he doesn't die.
Talking about deaths, she cried when Iggy died. And she cried again in the "Farewell, Friends" episode, when they burn DIO and their spirits appear. She legit tought Polpol was going to die, and she really likes Polpol, so I'm kind of excited to see her reaction to him in Part V

Why do many people hate Yo-Yo Ma? Part VI had many worse stands, like Planet Waves or Survivor. Yo-Yo's only fault was lasting for more chapters than it should but it was still not as pointlessly stretched in time as FF's fight with the old man and his dragon. What about it was so weak? I get the first half pales in comparison to the 2nd half but the 2nd half is some top-tier Jojo which almost completely makes up for the first half.
Pucci is genuinely a much better villain with actual character compared to someone like Kars, and the whole part 6 crew got more interaction and characterization than both the part 1 and part 2 crew.
It's not the best part but putting it under part 1 and 2 when it has so many other parts done right just sounds idiotic.

Well to start, I personally didn't like jolyne as a Jojo. I don't enjoy her personality, it felt like I was getting another Jotaro (for good reason). Her stand was just okay and unlike part 4 which had a great story and part 5 which had great stands part six has a few sparse moments of brilliance in both regards.The only character I hands down loved was F.F. Pucci was a great villain, I just couldn't relate to his constant 'heaven muh kami muh dio'. It was an entire character based around the worship of a past villain. In fact, if DIO hadn't gotten a decent chunk of backstory filled in through 4 5 and 6 I would have put him in that spot. he is probably one of the most successful villains in that he actually attains his goals. Another big problem I have with stone Ocean is it's ending. I'm so luke warm and on the fence about it I couldn't honestly tell you If I liked it or not. In the end It just felt super half baked, did it pick up in the second half? Absolutely, just not enough to bump it up for me. In regards to parts 1 and 2, yeah they didn't have the sort of girth the later parts had, but I felt they were better put together in their shorter stories than Stone Ocean was. If they had cut down the whole 'get jotaro's disc' segment down I wouldn't have minded as much.

The whole point of chocolate disco is that it is a shit fight. Since part 3 every part of jojo have had a "villain of the week" formula.
Johnny gets shot (it looks deadly) and the mystery of "who shoot him?" begins, then araki throws in a stand user and you think "oh no i don't give a fuck about this goddamn shit stand when will it be over" and the fucker just gets jobbed in one chapter. That is also the LAST random stand battle in sbr. Araki is saying that the serious battle is finally starting while making fun of the tropes of JoJo and what the readers expects.

I liked Pucci a lot because not only was he competent and involved from the beginning of the plot throughout, but the DIO stuff was really only a cover. Everything he did was because he couldn't accept responsibility for getting his sister killed. Weather owned it and went full edge whereas Pucci attributed it all to fate and followed DIO to take away the pain. Sure he genuinely loved DIO (in a non sexual way) but his character was based more than anything around running away from the past and shifting the blame. DIO's plan was so attractive to him because it would fully remove his guilt, because if everything is predestined and we know our fate than we know it's not our fault and can spend the time we have with our loved ones in peace.

My biggest beef is the pacing, as part 4 is a huge fucking adventure. If they are indeed moving at the rate i think they are, it will take a good while for them to move through the manga. The official BD listing is only 39 episodes, which would have the season end right at the end of the year. JJBA every week for the rest of 2016. There may be another batch of episodes afterwards but I wouldn't count on it considering Stardust Crusaders got 12 volumes and 48 episodes whereas DiU gets 13 volumes but only 39 episodes.
