It didn't take much for me to realize. I rarely have the attention span to watch anime that go beyond 24 episodes, so watching nearly 600 episodes of one anime (more episodes than anything else I've watched) speaks for itself. Spending hundreds of dollars on merchandise is just the norm for anime I get obsessed with.
My obsession with Precure is particularly worse than other anime though, because this show doesn't end. Even the amount of outside content besides the anime is incredible. 3 years into this and my interest hasn't declined at all. Part of me wants it to end, but because I know myself, I'd probably just move onto another obsession if that ever happens.
If Toei intends to keep this show going for as long as they can like Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, I'm probably going to be stuck here for the rest of my life. That kind of scares me but at the same time a 30 year old autistic virgin like me doesn't really have much else to look forward to, so I might as well spend the rest of my time doing stuff I enjoy.
