Hey Takato's reletive showed up in the anime as a call back to the first Tamers film making it canon. Second one can be interpreted any way possible. These movies arn't on the same scale as that terrible movie. Takeru and Hikari's Jobbermons shouldn't have been able to go Ultimate as they never obtained that power. And Tailmon shouldn't have been abke to go Slut Angel. The only thing that can explain these is Hikari's Jesus powers. Daisuke having Lightdramon before the anime is just terrible writing. It can't be done, at least not without making half of them recolors. Even Pokémon doesn't have 800 yet, and that's the anomaly, with guaranteed sales and the biggest budget. If Digimon somehow became as popular worldwide now as it was at its peak, I'd say twice as many as Cyber Sleuth had would be feasible, but 1200+ is insane.
