It's a little more complicated than that. Those expressions in particular are the kinds of things that will sometimes be actively discouraged in some circles, even in young boys (because they're not "proper Japanese"). On the other side, unless whoever you're speaking to actively discourages you from using things like "atashi" or "-kashira", there's very little reason not to use them because when you learn them only from hearing or reading (rather than academic study), you don't often realize the why's of their use. It's also one of the downsides of learning and speaking Japanese in a tiny pool of speakers, that you only learn the social conventions that they actively teach and enforce.

It's just that I wish I could grieve a bit more. The execution has been incredible so far.

Kirara character is kind of shallow compared to the others and Dyspear is not half as treatening as Close is.

Episode 39, Episode 11 and the one with Towa transformation.

I just ask for an exciting final fight, a resolution to Minami dream and for Haruka and Kanata to be happy together.

It's great. I love all the characters, especially Haruka. She hits the perfect balance of a normal girl surrounded by people who at first glance are perfect and amazing (but in actuality have their own faults and misgivings), which inspires her to improve herself in a variety of things she sees fit. They (being mainly Minami and Kirara) learn and grow with her. They're friends that support but don't baby each other, and are each independent yet always willing to lend a hand when needed, or back off if they each want space. Haruka doesn't fight for some lofty ideals or for the sake of the world or even somebody else, but for herself and her own dream. Minami, Kirara, and now Towa each do the same.
Kanata is awesome. He fought for his country alone for so many years, lives up to his reputation, and now is deeply intertwined with Haruka as they reached a parallel in their first meeting, with this time Kanata playing both parts as the naysayer and beneficiary of Haruka's princess dream. And speaking of dreams I'm looking forward to Minami's doubts and hesitations over hers, and whatever will happen to Kirara (I can't imagine what she'll do next). Towa opened the door to the next part of the plot with her emotional reclaiming of part of her kingdom, and even Yui is constantly there to support and watch over them, eventually to follow in Yume-sensei's footsteps as a picture book artist.
This most recent development I feel was handled very well. The new key born from Haruka and Kanata's feelings, the setup to slowly reclaim Hope Kingdom instead of all at once like most other series, using the Castle Plastic in a multitude of ways, building back the rainbows (one color only rainbows?), and eventually taking back it all. And on top of all this we have the high quality animation bearing us through.
tl;dr I like all Precure but this is probably in my top three.

All I remember though is them transforming with new powerups together in a circle, but there were 3 empty spaces between them. I think You became one? I do remember there being 5, and then I saw the three new ones (well, not new but obviously foreshadowed since they were in civilian form) hanging out together because they were the only ones left who were in the spiderman club? I'm sure my brain meant precure though. I talked with the boy one who I think was kinda punk? Nice guy though. Then I went off to Art class only to remember I forgot my bag in the cafeteria, where the battle took place (I actually think it was just a giant beamspam since they were all in a circle), oh and I had a very high and floatt jump and skipped over students and on tables as I was walking from and to it because I was so happy that there were going to be more Cures. Hope I'm not forgetting anything. I'm typing this on my phone and its still morning.

HaruHaru is one of the best pinks and she's now in my top.

I know most of /pc/ want to fuck Kirara but I don't really like her as character, also a lot of wasted potential with the villains and the brainwashing.
"I want to be a princess" is like one of the dumbest dreams in the franchise.

HaruHaru trying to improve herself through hard work and perseverance, also all Miss Shamour episodes were pretty good, I laughed like an idiot when he was helping Shut with his makeup. And pic related.

GoPri is already on my list of favorite Precure seasons.
The princess motif was done pretty nicely even if it's generic. The story was handled well even if there were some periods that it slowed down. It's basically Haruharu's journey to becoming a true princess but it doesn't take away from the rest of the cast. I wish they could've used some of the throwaway episodes to further explore the other cures but I still like all of them. Also, most of the fights seem more lively than other seasons.
With how Haruharu-centric the show has been (not that I find it bad in any way), they could have focused on the other cures way more than they did during the early episodes. Bonding together is nice but they needed more time to shine.
The generals might be less prominent than in previous season but I like how they seem more villainous (except for the gay one, fuck him). However, Dyspear isn't that great and I'm not interested in her imminent defeat. But, to be fair, that is the case for most final bosses in Precure.
My favorite moments gotta be the two main Close fights, especially the last one. This rivalry he and Haruka have is fucking great. I rewatched his bits from last week's episode multiple times because of how much of a douche he was to her, it really makes you cheer for the Precures.
I don't expect much from the ending but I'm already satisfied with the whole season. I hope they don't fuck it up.

Generally favorable. It's not my favorite, but I really don't have any huge gripes about it (yet).

Haruharu is a cute goober without being the whole show's buttmonkey, though I'm not sure they delivered on the kind of underdog story I think they were promising in the beginning. They committed HARD to excellent action and have been creative with out-of-stock henshins and attacks, but with Flora still feeling really bruiser. It's still pretty beamspammy, but some sequences (like freeing Towa) were just so good, it's hard to hold it against them, particularly when there's still some up close and personal CQC in those giant dresses happening.
>What went not so right?
I think Twilight's turn was rushed, and that they squandered a great villain who had an excellent reason to want to kick the GoPri's butts, or at least put them in their place. I think she can still be converted later and still have it be okay, but the tension got wound up quickly (~10 episodes), then released really soon. I find Minamin and Kirara likeable, and they've had one or two endearing moments each, but they're kinda flat and those little moments haven't really helped me to feel emotionally invested in any of them

The violin duet and its episode were a huge payoff, in terms of the action, Scarlet's reveal and musical puzzle it put together. I'm still not sure how I feel about Haruharu's fall into and return from despair, but it felt like I was witnessing awesomeness at the time... "Let's go, Princess", holy shit. The leadup to Twilight's defeat was great, both her beatdown on the cures and her transformation using the dress-up key.

Not a whole lot, actually. I just want to see Haruka fist-fight, and hope she finally does a ground punch before the end. I don't feel like they've really promised anything big or created enough stake for the finale yet.

The characters. Coming off from HaCha and other seasonal anime chokefull of shallow one-dimensional characters, GoPri having more subdued characters with subtle development is a really refreshing change. Also, maybe it was just because I had such a negative opinion at HaruHaru at first that the way her character's been developed made me really adore her lately. Also it's been a while since we've had actual teamwork in fight scenes.
And then there's the music, I didn't really care for the OST in Doki and HaCha, but GoPri's OST is really comfy and match the theme of the shows really well. That moment when Twilight's violin song turned out to be the other part of the same song HaruHaru's been practicing is my favorite moment of the season, I jumped up and down in joy like a little girl with the revelation, no joke.

The villains. Aside from Close, other villains are criminally underused. Shut could potentially be another Bunbee, but he's been so underused that his irrelevant became a gag in the show. Lock was boring but then became awesome for like 2 eps before being purified and turned to the waste-of-space Kuroro. All Stop and Freeze had were those random poses and nothing else, their lines are even countable on 2 hands.

I think it's about the pointyness of the designs. For example, Yuri's "boobs." Or just her shirt rather. Who knows. It's pointiy. Softer edges are much easier for that. They're all flat as pnkk too. It's like the complete opposite of Fresh in terms of design I'd say. Well, have you ever heard the phrase "culture of cute?" I think cartoons tend to be cute, just inherently, not even just Anime, but in general. Even Looney Tunes were mostly adorable and they were some of the most violent things ever. That's the real difference here though I think. Seems like instead of cute the culture over here in the states is all about violence. I think maybe cartoons are a less effective vector for the glorification of violence (even Looney Tunes were cute)than say, Hollywood films (real people look like they really die) or video games (where you get to kill people yourself). Personally I'm sick of more "adult" anime whose only selling point is sexualizing the girls. That's all they do, put the females in as less clothing as possible and all the usual "Oops i fell and her boobs and grabbed her" or whatever other "jokes" all modern anime have. Most new anime don't have any more depth to them than that.
I enjoy little girls shows because they're the complete opposite of that. They usually have good story lines with great drama since they're running for a full year, the comedy varies a lot more with none of that sexual stuff, and I just find them better than the average anime nowadays. Also none of that stupid retarded gay mc, little girls shows mcs are likeable.
