I understand, okay, it's filler. The next manga hasn't dropped yet. These last three episodes look like they were made by one or two guys drunk in the office. The animation quality is beyond bad. It's like an anime that was made in powerpoint or something.

Thematically it's aged remarkably well for an 80s show--both girls come off as very worldly and genre savvy, and the show is shockingly forward-looking on some topics--and the TV animation is okay (OVA animation better).
Flash steers much more towards the success stories of the 1990s--Kei and Yuri have a much harder time of syncing their partnership, there are pseudo-transformation sequences, the character artwork is a lot more stylized compared to the original.
Give the TV series or OVA a try. Or flash if your interested. You'll generally find out very quickly in any form whether you like it or not.
