So, I finally decided to watch evangelion...
I watched the original series + end of evangelion, didn't watch the movie trilogy yet.
There are a few questions I want to ask you guys, since this series is debated so often here and the various wikis i've checked out didn't really give me a satisfying answer.
What is the Angels' actual objective? Why are they trying to reach Lilith? The series states that if an Angel reaches Lilith, humanity will be wiped out in the Third Impact.
It is also said that they are trying to reach Adam, to re-awaken him and allow him to reclaim the Earth for his sons by destroying Lilith's spawn, i.e. mankind.
So, Angels want to unconsciously reunite with Adam, but they actually head for Lilith. Is it because Angels can sense the presence of a Seed of Life, but not precisely which one of the two?
Moreover, Lilith and Adam are often mistaken for one another in the series.
If an Angel reached Lilith instead of Adam, would Third Impact happen anyways? Would they try to eliminate Lilith, sensing she's the opposite Seed of Life? Would they even undestand which Seed of Life they're looking at, like Kaworu did when he finally reached Terminal Dogma?
