The movie was an explanation for why people commit suicide in Japan. They do the same thing every day for years until they can't remember the difference between last week and last month, then they kill themselves. I don't know why the MC went after the master pilot alone. Maybe he thought he could win. Maybe he wanted to die.
You'd think he wouldn't have been caught out by the pilot's signature move after hearing about how his colleges all died the same way, though.

Girl 1 was said to be self-destructing after coming to terms with (and thereby losing interest in) the conflict of their wars. Shows that had great first seasons but a terrible second season that ruined everything.

I wouldn't call the first season "Great" but it was good and there were some effort put into the jokes. S2 was just so repetitive and tiring to watch. Felt like I was watching the same scenes and the same jokes over and over for 12 episodes.

I know that Kayo marries the girlish dude (I couldn't care less about them, honestly) and that they have a kid and ot's ok with me.
But the fact that in the current timeline, post-comma MC never met Airi and she doesn't even know who the hell he is saddens me.
I mean they have a poetic moment when he meets her and his love for her makes him remember what he was doing before falling to the river, but that doesn't look like the start of a romantic relationship.
I hope the author finds a way to make Airi and MC end up together.
CHOCOLATE BAR
This episode was a serious step down from all the previous, and I'm not just talking about the writing either. The animation, the superb directing, the mysterious and alluring atmosphere, all gone. It was just so average. It's like a whole different series. Even the parts that were supposed to be full of tension had no impact because the direction was so lackluster.

I liked this show because it didn't seem to follow the typical hero and villain troupes.
For instance, when Seitenshi asks Rentaro what he wants, his reply is that he wants power. Power to protect the people he loves, but power nonetheless.
At the end when the train stops because someone died on the tracks and Rentaro laments that it's going to make them late, he worries that he's becoming insensitive to death. Typical heroes don't worry about that kind of thing.
