One thing that really ticks me off about the visual novel is that your choices have so extremely little impact on the story.
Oftentimes your choices are literally irrelevant, and only change one insignificant line of narration.
The first time I "played" the game, I thought there would be some logic and significance to your choices. Alright so the version I downloaded to watch ages ago is kinda shit with broken signs subs.
I like the dub a lot, it's janky but I particularly like original Rei and Gendo. Shinji and Misato are constants in all versions but the other voices seem to vary quite a bit.
So I'm looking for a version with the original dubbed voices. Is the 5.1 mix just remixes of the original performances? Re-recorded? Or completely redone with new actors?
I'd also like to avoid the directors cut episodes because I don't really care for a George Lucased version.
