When it was announced a few months ago that the rights transferred over I was not optimistic at all, but now that a sequel is official, I'm feeling a strange sensation of subdued, moderate hype. At this point I don't see much purpose in hating or whining like a bitch about it.
Most likely it will be like meeting an old friend again: Sure, it won't be the exactly same or as great as it was in the good ol' days, but overall it will be a refreshing experience. It's like welcoming something familiar and warm back into my life again, instead of fawning...

Yuki-chan was one of the worst shows that season though.
I can't wait to hear Kari Wahlgren's Haruko again. Funimation was smart enough to get the whole cast of Haruhi (including Kari) back together again for Yuki-chan, I'm sure they'll do the same for FLCL.

Kazuya has this great monologue involving that guy on the image you posted who isn't Kaiji
It sometimes felt like he kept recycling the same ten chapters. Don't get me wrong, Fukumoto's lengthy exposition and vivid inner monologues are what make Kaiji great, but after seeing those three bumblefucks misunderstand each other for the gazillionth time, shit was just annoying. Loved the ending though.
The poker storyline is shaping up to be great, too. Kazuya is a very entertaining villain, although right now it feels he can't keep up with Kaiji's gambling experience. Can't wait for the incoming turnaround and ZAWAs.
