Near the end of my first campaign, and first real time playing a total war game. I'm playing empire, and have good relations with pretty much all human and dwarf factions, but how do I get these children to stop fighting each other?
It seems every fifth turn or so I get a message about one faction of the cunts declaring war on another, when they should be trying to stop orcs/chaos armies who are on their doorstep.

You have to ally with them after the Realm Divide is triggered. Otherwise they're triggered to attack you. Even then, they're still highly likely to backstab you.
So assuming wood elves are added without enlargening the map how do you think they'll work? With the current size of Athel Loren they might reliably fit 3 settlements in that "province" but they'd have nowhere to expand to. Or would them taking human settlements be plausible?

Witch Hunters have some pretty great fucking campaign skills, although you need that one skill to snipe heroes.
Warrior Priests seems fairly decent combatants with their spells. Captains too I guess? Though their recruitment bonus stuff is pretty awesome.

It does have stances. That's the problem. Since most settlements not only don't have walls in this game but don't have decent garrisons or defensive terrain either the AI loves to run around in forced march sacking your shit and you can't catch up to them 90% of the time.

It does have stances, thats the problem. The AI will troll you and move just barely out of reach. The only way to counter it is to use ambush stance so your army goes invisible. In previous games you could actually use cavalry armies to run them down, but thats not the case in this game. The only thing you can do is stack campaign movement camp followers.

The series appeals to changing history not sticking to it; Carthage winning the 2nd Punic War or now Vampire Counts forming an alliance with the Dwarves to fight Chaos and the Orcs before actually taking over the empire.
Non of this requires people to want fucking squalor or family trees in a Fantasy game to still belong to the series as a new branch. Get over it.

Only downside is how incredibly hard it is to wipe out a dwarf faction thanks to attrition from low corruption on their furthest provinces
