I freaked out when I saw this but realized that it's "only" two years from now.
Still, this means a fair share of hiatuses yet to come.
So, instead of 5 full seasons we are only getting 3 half seasons, which is equal to the number of episodes already confirmed, but they tried to make it sound new. And from the way Matt wrote his tweet, he made it sound like they were already finished with the show or the seasons at least.
Not only that, but we have 2 more months of hiatus left, then Steven Bombs all summer, which will inevitably lead into another huge hiatus, probably after the season 3 finale.

Like i said the intro felt a bit forced and i try my best to make it work. Usually i have a good introduction and leading events into the scene shown in the fic. If your interested you can browse my other fics and read them to see how i usually handle fics.
Repeating phrases and words and such is one of my biggest problems and i try really hard to not repeat myself by mixing up the words but, sometimes even then i make the same mistakes. But i am improving on the issue at hand.
I do my best to match the dialogue the best i can to fit the characters in the show.

You know, it didn't seem like Malachite was going to attack the melons until they knocked her down. She looked pleased as punch before that. Anyway there's these lines after the melons catapulted rocks in her face and tripped her:

I think she's less divided that you'd expect, considering she didn't have any problems staying together while Alex almost unfused.
That line from Alex doesn't have to mean it exactly the way you're interpreting it. Even though fusions are separate entities from their parts, it's not like the Gems don't acknowledge the parts exist. It was probably just a one liner.
