I like it, but its easily the one I would call my worst because the transformation is thoroughly unenjoyable, and its a barely-fixed version of an already un-masterpiecey un-starscreamy mold, it cost me an arm and a leg to get the asian exclusive and all I find myself doing is waiting for an entirely-new V3 of masterpiece Seekers to get and replace it.
The best part of this figure is dreaming of when I can have something else in its spot, and sell it on.

Prowl is a pain in the fucking ass to transform into car mode because of those arms.
Bumblebee can't even stand up straight because his own accessories make him too top-heavy, he has virtually no heel, and his knees are ridiculously limited compared to what was released alongside him in that wave and since then.

that kind of thing works for things that are actually mass produced like Zakus, but Transformers in most continuities aren't mass produced, they're created at random from the allspark or some shit.
They can augment themselves and change alt modes, but the core of their bodies and functions seems to be pretty consistent.
For instance a character that is typically a land vehicle wouldn't be able to adopt a flying mode.
So having uniform parts would be hard.
There are some instances of it working though, like the G1 seekers canonically all choose to look like the same mode, and the Prime Vehicons as stated.
But for the whole species it wouldn't really work

In current continuities it's like people. Kind of same but everyone's a little bit different. Cybertronians just have more subspecies. Transporters, constructicons, flyers, weapons, utilitarian, fembots. All just variations on a few themes.

Nah. FoC Prime and Magnus were simple but good little figures, and as much as I dislike Soundwave's gimmick he's pretty solid. The combiners all have the combining gimmick to salvage them, even though they aren't great individually. The Seekers are alright too, and Fireflight is awesome.
It was definitely an awkward period from the franchise but only a couple cab legitimately be considered some of the worst ever.
Man, the sheer "playability" of this line has completely won me over. They're just good fun. And pretty solid designs.
But it also guys a lot of sweet spots for me anyway because I love figures with cock pits, bases, and tiny figures. Honestly I hope we see some actual playsets beyond figures turning into bases, maybe a fold out ark like that one movie set.

I just threw away half a cubic yard of abandoned toy-modding projects I was never going to finish and put another half a cubic yard of nerf/role-play toys with some stuff to give away to a thrift store.
It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. It's been building up for a while: I've been noticing piles of stuff around my place that don't really have anywhere to be put away, and I don't like the idea of living like white trash, even though I'm employed full time and still subsist below the poverty line.
I am marking the occasion by posting about it in /tfg/ with a pic of Tracks in a sort of kung fu stance.

Red and yellow plastic frequently look and feel "off" to me. Although the Tamara sunstreaker looks like some of the best yellow plastic I've seen, especially compared to the Hasbro one. I'd love have them both in hand just to compare.

Blades feels pretty cheap to me. I dunno why, he just feels flimsy as fuck compared to, say, Rook or Swindle or any of the Deadend remolds, which is funny since Deadend feels fine and he's red. Maybe the darker red isn't as cheap feeling? Fuck if I know.
