Here's the cross-sell sheet from the Stormtrooper Finn polybag again, to push discussion along.

Holy shit...
I just ordered the winter workshop and they're out of the holiday trains for the promotion and instead, all i'm getting is emerald express....
i feel so shitty
>>5273401
Well there is always Bricklink or severely inflated prices on ebay.
>>5273395
Lego made a pretty weird decision with those new rebel helmets. They really look odd.
Threadly reminder about Blacktron being better than any other late 80s or 90s space theme.

I might get a couple of those, love the battle packs.
Is it true that a smaller ship including Hera is coming? I really want her. Do you guys think this lady has a chance too?
>>5273431
>Is that a visor or something??
Yes, you can see one of them has flesh-coloured hands.
>>5273440
>Yeah, it's a trans-yellow piece of plastic permanently fused to the main helmet piece.
It's printed on, actually.
>>5273395
I'm curious where Lego leaks come from. Is it internal or something? Do they leak from factories?
>>5273435

>Do you guys think this lady has a chance too?
I'm sure the Seventh Sister's gonna come out eventually; we got the first Inquisitor after all.
>>5273443
It's plastic.
>>5273395
I really hope that Carbon Freezing Chamber Fett is not the same one as the Fett from the UCS Slave I.
>>5273467
It doesn't have the UCS arm print.
>>5273469
Now that I look closer, you're right. Thanks!
>>5273440
They looked pretty generic to me when I first saw the action figures pictures. I didn't expect the lower part to lift up.
I also thought the visor was printed on the minifigs' heads.
These troopers have pretty bland outfits too but it works better on the minifigs for some reason.
Would it be considered heresy to open a classic space set that has remained unopen since the 80s?

Holy shit, this makes me more sad than it should
Think of those poor minifigs that never got played with
Maybe I shouldn't have seen The Lego Movie, now I feel bad for plastic
>>5273516
Oh, nah, I just have a modest minifig collection and I have the UCS Slave I Fett and I feel it would dimish how "exclusive" that fig seems given that it came with a UCS set.
>>5273515
>>5273510
Ok I was just wondering because I was planning on winning an ebay auction with whatever money I currently have and liberating the bricks and minifigures from the box. Fuck scalpers and the people who keep Lego in unopened boxes.
>>5273517
It saddens me as well. If I win the set I will tear that shit open.
>MISB Classic Space Set
>the thought of getting a fresh spaceman
>>5273395
I'm actually really excited for all four battle packs for the first time ever.
Probably most excited for the resistance one, the only disappointment is the lack of printed legs in that one. But it's understandable because of the super groovy helmets. Hope those guys are badass in the movie.
>>5273535
I opened the shell car wash set from 1999 a year ago and the peices felt really nice. The minifigs come out having that new shine to them. There was no noticable color fading but the torso of the shell worker looked smudged.
>>5273515
This is Lupita Nyong'o's character right?
>>5273551
Yup.
>>5273553
Yeah, I know. Still, I'd appreciate some texture, like they put on the rebels' pants or something. Even if it's not really needed, I think anything is more interesting than more dark bley pants.
>>5273535
>>5273548
I too opened an older set about a year ago. I found a 1720 Cactus Canyon from 1994(?) that my parents had planned to be a gift at some point. The box was had almost disinterested away and the instructions were chewed on or who knows. The sealed bags were beautiful, the majority of the bricks were bright and flaw free. A few had weird injection marks, not unusable or anything, just different. The figures were a little stiff at fist, but some new ones are also stiff. Overall, would recommend
>>5273518
UCS sets are for the ships deisgn not figures, that´s a fucking autistic reason to not want easier access to a popular figure.
Though it won´t change anything in Lego making arm prints exclusive to CMFs, polybags and UCS sets for at least a year now.
>>5273435
There is only one Rebels set asides form the microfighter that we know of so far, no new figs in it. So nope, she doesn't.
>>5273662
Actually, it's not really the case and never was to begin with as technically one of the first minifigs with printed arm comes from a normal set (the original torquoise Greedo). And it's definitely not something recent, especially, as the most common non-polybag printed arm figure, TLM Wyldstyle is pretty new A plenty of Marvel and DC figs from normal sets (Starfire in the latest wave, that GotG bruiser guy, iirc some version of Batman too...) had printed arms too recently. Even in SW it's not limited to UCS and polybags as one of the Rebels wookie figs from January has printed arms.

You could say the same about any of his villains that haven't been in a movie.
>>5273662
I would like to think I spent $200 on not only an amazing model, but also a very detailed minifigure.
The exclusive minifig thing is the same with the UCS Tumbler, the UCS Millenium Falcon (Ben Kenobi), the UCS Imperial Shuttle, the UCS Super Star Destroyer, the UCS Sandcrawler (a bunch of silly droid builds don't count to me, but Owen Lars does), the UCS TIE Fighter, and the UCS Helicarrier.
Yes, at the end of the day, the UCS sets are about the ships. I didn't buy the Slave I because I wanted the Fett figure, but it was a nice bonus. But I would like to see exclusive minifigures continue as a nice bonus to the collector, and I don't see anything wrong with that.

I bought this set for my niece and nephew last Christmas. They like it, but they're constantly licking the pieces like it might actually turn into ice cream one of these times. I shudder to think how many billions of microbes live on those pieces.
Post those spaceships lads. This is the first one I made, and it's the best one in my small fleet.

I didn't take very good pictures and it's dismantled now, but I have a couple shots I saved.
It fits the standard SP1 prisoner pod.
Here it is without the pod.
Hey Lego General.
Not to be a whore, but I thought I'd post my Bricklink here.
Only because I'm moving soon--So if I can get rid of some of this before the end of the month, that'd save me a bit of a headache.
Not a lot of stuff, but whtever.
LotR, some Star Wars, etc.

You wouldn't want to disappoint Chibi-Rex and Chibi-Ray, would you?
>>5274743
You have quite a few minifigures I want, but some of them are in sets I don't want. No way would I ask you to ruin the marketability of your sets just so I could get the figs.
However I might scoop up that Council of Elrond... even though I just today ordered a Gimli fig for myself. Getting an alternate Elrond, plus Arwen, Frodo, and the ring would be neat. We'll see.

two options
1. open it and build it, its a toy and you obviously already like building and playing with lego.
2. sell it, use the money to buy (most likely) much more lego than the first set. you're obviously not emotionally attached to the set, otherwise you would have built it already
>>5274774
Oh heya just got your message on there too.
They're all new in the box, so completely unopened and all that, except where specified otherwise.
So I'd prefer not to bust 'em open just for the figs. Like you mentioned in the message, it's easier to just sell 'em whole than in parts.
Sorry, guy. I hope you find your figs.
>>5274788
Hey it's just as >>5274802 said--If I end up not selling some stuff by the time I move, I'll open it up to shipping overseas and the like.
Whatcha lookin' at and where ya at? I mean I guess I can mull it over if you're paying all the shipping and taking care of that.
>>5274823
Completely unopened. Some cases, the sticker tab keeping the box closed is a little worn, but I haven't purposefully opened them and pilfered any bits and bobs from the sets.
And if you want the Duel, hit me up on there and we can work out specifics.
>>5274942
No sweat man. I'm glad you got it so fast, that means I can buy the set from you I wanted without worrying about holding off to see if I could put some figs in it.

A while back I wanted to test my eye-to build skills and made a bootleg of some of your models! I posted pictures a while ago.
I wanted to set up a flickr account to write you and to send you the .lxfs to see if they were at all accurate to your actual builds. I really like your work, and I imitated yours both because of that and because it's a good learning opportunity.
Also, damn, nice.

>>5275170
More of my creepy stalker junk or what have you. I posted these a while ago.
I've built a lot of my own stuff with LDD and posted it around, but the squid sister bootlegs I just wanted to practice SNOT with. The backs of the heads for all of my versions I'm pretty sure are messed up, though. Building them was a lot of fun and quite educational, and god damn if what you make isn't clever.
I kinda wanted to do your version if Jim next but I'm torn between that and more MOCs of my own. I'm trying to build those but need to wait for a little.
A friend of mine is new in collecting Lego Figures. So she asked me if I can help her with a good way to display them and keep them away from dust and so on.
So has anyone an Idea? Or has made themselfs a display and can give me some advices?

I'm not going to claim to be right, but it seems that Disney isn't listed as Disney except on the princess line. It isn't Disney's Star Wars or Disney's Mahvel. At least on Lego's shop.
>>5275249
Oh well. There's only a handful of Disney characters I like enough to actually bother, but I suppose the scraps should sell easy enough on BL
>>5275258
This news is months old? This is the first public evidence
>>5274181
It is cool, but Duplo is ncredibly pricey and I have a big backlof of CMF to catch up with (why are the series 9 movie star and tarot reader so hard to get for cheaper than 10 euro?) so even though I quite often buy Lego stuff I'm unlikely to use in mocs just because it's funny and unusual I'll skip this for the time being. Maybe if I can find a single of these for cheap on ebay since bricklink rarely yeilds much results when searching for Duplo.
>>5274498
If this won't cost much more than CMF it's actually an ok deal.
I hope it means every knight will get robot squires ultimately, can't wait for red and orange ones for the only somewhat distinct knights.
>>5275400

Nah, a couple months ago someone posted a really bad shoop of a Disney CMF bag that was clearly made in MS Paint.
It would just be a funny coincidence if it turned out that the next CMF wave actually was Disnep.
>>5275263
No one fills out a minifigure like Gaston!
>>5275407
They're 12-15 PLN in Poland, about 10-20% more expensive than CMF in most stores. Not worth it for city figs and Chima imo, but I'd pay that much for the robot (Atlantis squid and the Ninjago snakes were ok deals too imo, especially since there were no Lego magazines back then - they made a lot of these books redunant).
Dammit, I got so caught up in that lingonkart was here I forgot to ask for his e-mail, and didn't even say anything nice about the stuff he posted.
It wouldn't be too much to ask for your e-mail, would it? I'd still wanted to send you the .lxfs with the bootlegs.

>>5275449
That's because like 80% of Disney comics we get here are Italian, rest of Europe gets German and Scandinavian ones iirc. Duck Avenger is mostly an Italian and Brazilian phenomenon and for most of the west it's a literally who character... But then Lego loves literally who characters it seems, looking at DC sets and games especially (I was really happy to see Platinum, shame she's not in any sets)
>>5275452
He's also known well enough in Finland.
Monthly Donald Duck books have at least one story each. The monthly stuff is mostly the Italian stuff, while the weekly magazine has broader range

I seriously don't get what people see in this show, it's just all about muh fetish making horrible media amazing for some people, it's pretty much the same with Totally Spies.

Don't worry anon, the next episode will be a real scream.
>>5276135
your assmadness is empowering me
It's some kind of space speeder bike thing.
>>5276220
That's pretty sexy, anon. What's that spring-looking piece between the gas tank and the shootymotron?
>>5276227
its a trike chassis,
which makes me ponder the legality on the rear skid attachments to the rear axle posts
>>5276244
OK, apparently
>>5276227
Thanks. It's actually part of the trike body I'm using, http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=30187e#T=C
>>5276135
oh he mad
>>5276251
Oh, that's a cool piece.
>>5274641
I'm with you.
are there any new smaller marvel sets coming out soon? between the 10-30 dollar range.
I'm building a space biker gang.
>>5276261
You sir might like the upcoming juniors set with iron man and loki
>>5276263
Not much of a gang, they need matching uniforms.
>>5276263
Oh shit, those are great. I love how the bikes fit their pilots.
>dat visorless spaceman in the back of the pack
I got these as a birthday gift from my gf today.
>tfw gf knows what you like
Tried my hand at remaking that anons speeder bike shame that the browns mish mash also a collision issue with the rear part but I feel it would work IRL
>>5276327
>having your Lego's on the carpet floor like you're 12 again
Never grow up anon.
>>5276363
>Lego's
It's Legos.
>>5276363
That's why I visit this board comrade.
>>5276374
Look here, if you want to correct him the real plural is just Lego, and further than that it's LEGO interlocking plastic bricks, or something to that effect.
You don't say "sheeps", you say sheep.
>>5276384
Thank you for following through on the joke to its completion.
>>5276263
Fuck, I need this so bad now.
>>5276374
It's just "Lego" you stupid fuck.
>>5276374
I for one can't even say "Legos" anymore. It just doesn't sound right.
>>5275647
I wish polybags were more reliably found in stores. I need to get that and this set. I love those silver coins they give you.
>>5276394
comrade, a partially disassembled snapshot for easier reverse-engineering of basic trikebody design
I've been playing battle slugs and love this little guy's design. Anyone have any idea how I could make this? I have an idea of the tank part but I'm having a hard time imagining it. Is there also a "blueprint" for lego that I can use for designing?
>>5276389
Look up the 26th Dynasty sometime, pleb.
I've been meaning to get back into lego. How can I check what new pieces have been recently released?
>>5276454
awesome.
>>5276458
WE WUZ DOE.
Seriously, its just bantz man. Now the actual "ALL EGYPTIANS WUZ BLACK KINGS" bullshit theory.....thats on a whole other level.
>>5274743
I bought your duel set, as I was saying last night, havent gotten an invoice yet, but thats cool, no rush. Im sure the move is definitely top priority and hope my measley $30 is at least a little help, anon.
>>5276467
Ldd is rather up to date but has not got a lot of the newer elements from the past wave.
>>5276457
>battle slugs
>blueprint
Is English not your first language?
Use LDD.
>>5276467
I dunno, Brickset? Bricklink?
What do you even mean? How new is 'new' to you? Because pretty much every year brings at least some double digits' worth of new parts. Depending on how long you've been out of it there could be any number of 'new' parts.
AFAIK there's no single large database dedicated solely to cataloging brick releases except for what I mentioned, with Bricklink being better because it's a site you can buy and sell stuff on.
>>5276438
>shes dealin in fuckin benjamins over here
holy fuckin christ emma, pullin in all the scratch
>>5273401
I keep getting one every time I go. I have three at this point.
>>5276469
>Now the actual "ALL EGYPTIANS WUZ BLACK KINGS" bullshit theory.....thats on a whole other level.
It's just a backlash, Egyptology swung the exact other direction in the 1920's, suggesting that "negroid elements" were responsible for the decline and collapse of the Old Kingdom.
The truth lies somewhere in the middle. There were black pharaohs, from Ammeris the Nubian onwards, responsible for repairing Egypt at a time petty warlords were destroying the civilization, but they were ultimately crushed by Persians. By the time Cleopatra came around, rulers were mostly of Greek descent.
Ultimately, people want to feel special, especially if they're disenfranchised and oppressed now. If they want to pretend they have the blood of kings, they can. It just won't help their cause at all when they live in a constitutional democracy and not a pharaonic religious dictatorship.
>>5273434
I need that car ferry. It's to bad it doesn't look like it has a passenger deck.
>>5276752
>AArrkajsf;laksjf m.zxc,vm askdlfj;l turd party shit fuck that waaaah
>but but muh third party is better!
?WAH WAH WAH
There, now can we pretend it's already finished and move on to discussing important things, like MOCs and shit?
>>5276759
That's a sweet little build anon I love the use of the spinning disc bases
>>5276761
Wish I could take credit, but it's not mine; I've not even made a copy of it.
>>5276766
That doesn't matter what does is if you liked it or not.
>>5276759
i like everything but the carts
>>5276759
This guy is one of my favourite builders, I even did his 80s radio and CRT TV.
He must live near a lego shop that lets you fill a cup with whatever parts you like because he chooses to use a lot of uncommon parts that could be made from more common parts.
>>5276354
Jesus christ anon please choose a brown and stick with it.
>>5276246
Oooooh, is that a new Creator set? Looks almost as good as Power Digger. Almost.
>>5276986
At least you can make a proper mech from that since it has those Exo-arms
>>5276990
Yeah! I imagine if you combine that with a Power Digger, you could make some really awesome stuff.
>>5276992
I'd combine it with one of the recent construction worker mixels instead, that's the best potential mix of parts in similar colors from sets around this price point imo
