I have a different question:
What's the most interesting setting you've played shadowrun in?

Caribbean islands?
Amazonian favelas?
Chinese high rises?
A space base?
Or maybe you had a really interesting take on Seattle?

I've been thinking of running a game, and I'd like some inspiration.

I ran a Shadowrun set in San Francisco during the Japanese occupation and martial law.

Mind you, I suck at running games, and it died for various reasons after a few sessions because as I mentioned, I suck.
>>
Reposting in a newer thread

I've had a long commute to work recently, which gave me time to get some gears spinning, and started thinking about running shorter vignette kinda games in the world. Something so the players learn more about other other side of the shadows, and some more world lore stuff. For the first one, I've settled on a True Detective style game set in Detroit, with both players as Knight Errant detectives, as they slowly uncover just how awful their mother corp is (taking a lot of inspiration from The Wire as well).

Right now, I'm thinking of starting with a good old fashioned murder investigation, where the victim was killed by experimental Ares weaponry (dunno what yet), which when tracked will reveal it was given to gangers to test out its effectiveness...but I don't have much beyond that yet. I do know I want to work in the Black Lodge somehow, since they seem like really good villains for detectives, and make much of the drama come from not being able to trust anyone (the everpresent corporate overlords, and not knowing who's in the lodge)

Any thoughts on grander plots? Preferably something that can be done in 10 good sessions, not a long drawn out game.

Make it so they really have to go through an investigation chain. Wageslaves, managers, middle managers, high mangers, research. Have the end result be a really by the books of some paper pusher saying "Our data shows that this would be the most effective and cheapest way to test our weaponry. Or have them really end up against some bureaucracy where they know who caused this or did it, but they can't touch them. Really nail home this is why corps are shit.

FAB IV. A specialized infectious version of FAB III, designed to be secretly given to a worker drone bug spirit so that it goes back and infects the whole hive.

When it hits normal people, it starts chewing away at their Essence, driving them nutty (especially if they're Awakened). The players investigate a several seemingly unrelated instances -a salaryman who went postal at the workplace, a devoted mother who suddenly abandoned her family and joined an underground fight ring, and a thaumaturgist who died of Drain while casting a simple spell. They had all been exposed to FAB IV, and now the PCs have to track where the leak is coming from before it spreads even farther.

Revolvers can't be suppressed because they have cylinder gap. There's only been one or two revolvers in real life that were actually able to be suppressed, though that wasn't the main reason for them not having cylinder gap.

Suppressing a shotgun is just an act in futility. A suppressed shotgun can be easily heard from about 100 meters inwards, assuming a neutral amount of background noise. Then again, it's relatively the same for any rifle that isn't integrally suppressed and using subsonic ammo. I guess there's some point where you just have to tell any notion of realism to go.
>>
>>48146842
There's only one revolver in the entire world(IN REAL LIFE) that can use a Suppressor, and it's the Nagant Revolver, made in the late 1800s. Said revolver is a triple-action revolver that has the entirety of the cylinder slides forward to form a seal with the barrel whenever you fire. Since there's no cylinder gap, a suppressor actually does shit to it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagant_M1895
>>
>>48146911
The point of suppressing a rifle or shotgun isn't to make it silent, it's to make it not ear-burstingly loud and potentially confuse listeners and misdirect them. It's easy to hear a silenced shotgun, but hard to pinpoint its location and possible to not recognize the sound if you don't have direct line of sight.

>cylinder gap

I know, it'd just be nice to see one come out in a splat. Someone built a revolver without a cylinder gap so wageslaves can have John Wayne funz without blowing their fingers off. They also quietly put out a Forbidden version with an integral silencer, because they knew the niche shadowmarket would want it. Doesn't have to be spectacular (5 Accuracy, 6P, (5cy)), it would just be interesting.
>>
>>48146987
I'd wager any trained soldier would be easily able to pinpoint where the shot came from at about 50 meters, under normal conditions. Suppressing weapons without using subsonic and being a great distance away just doesn't have a point.

>>48147042
But why have a revolver when semi-automatics are far superior? Damn cowboy posers, all of you.
>>
>>48147068
Because revolvers are immune to jamming. Or at least, if it DOES jam, you can literally just turn the cylinder and keep firing. They're infinitely more reliable than shit polymer autopistols.
>>
>>48143971

>>
>>48147068
Because revolvers are simpler, more reliable and easier to maintain, making them good choices for newbies, travelers and people who're just that paranoid. They lag behind in more or less everything else, given, but they're a good choice if you just want a gun that fires bullets whenever you need it to.

He may be talking about what happens in Shadowrun, /k/, where semi-automatic is the correct option for pistol.

It's also the option with reduced style, which makes it inferior.
>>
>>48147100
I guess you can have fun with your teeny tiny magazine capacity.

>>48147130
Newbies need more ammo capacity, because it's very unlikely 6 shots will be enough for them, considering only about 10% of shots in a firefight actually hit. Revolvers are also a pain to load, even if you are using a speed loader.

A newbie is best off with a low-recoil semiautomatic pistol. Probably something in the 9x19mm range.
>>
>>48147169
It's a matter of how you're prioritizing, where you're planning on getting into trouble and how long the average firefight in the setting and environment lasts.
Firefights are also often surprisingly short with not too many shots fired, and especially in short-range combat (which includes being jumped as well as FISH, two situations that a newbie with a weapon is disproportionately likely to find themselves in), a revolver becomes more reliable.
It's a problem of whether or not you want to risk your semi-automatic jamming, because if you haven't had training in how to field-strip one, it's going to be a useless hunk of metal until you get some free time, some new tools and an Internet connection to look up the steps on.
In the end, though, this looks like it will devolve into /k/ circlejerking if it goes any further, considering that almost everyone on /k/ has their own opinion about how firefights usually turn out, and very few of them don't let it be tainted by movies, self-conscious trivia knowledge or political opinions about certain risk groups.

Doesn't drop its casings, simpler mechanism, more room for exotic ammunition, In some circumstances it's also harder to trace the odd caliber, the weapon itself might be cheaper or easier to conceal and otherwise it might just be the shooter's personal preference. Revolvers aren't outright better than other mechanisms, nor any better than revolvers, you just need the right tools for job and the person doing it.
>>
>>48147379
>Doesn't drop its casings
Caseless is the norm in Shadowrun, so that doesn't matter all too much.
>>
>>48147412
Correction: It has been stated repeatedly that caseless is the norm, yet CGL have done absolutely no research on the matter and continue to write rules that only make sense for cased ammunition. Absolutely none of the risks nor upsides of caseless ammunition are mentioned where it matters, and for all intents and purposes, it would be more fitting to assume that ammunition is still cased unless you want to rewrite the weapon rules to account for caseless ammunition.

Mainly rules to account for storage and handling of ammunition. The only reason caseless ammunition isn't the be-all end-all of firearms ammunition nowadays is that there are several inherent shortcomings which can be mitigated but not eliminated - mainly that caseless ammunition is heat-sensitive and fragile, leaving a lot of residue and having issues with sealing. Caseless ammunition starts cooking off quicker than cased, and that's something that warrants a rule if anything ever did.
>>
>>48147512
Shadowrun doesn't even have rules for regular weapon maintenance, do you really expect it to need that? That's stuff I expect from Twilight 2000 or GURPS, where everything matters, not Shadowrun.
>>
>>48147495
Technically if caseless was the standard, revolver reloads wouldn't require you to eject the empty casings which is usually a really time consuming part of the reloading as expanded casings can get stuck in cylinders needing manual ejection. So, hypothetically, revolvers would become very quick to reload and possibly faster to reload than an automatic pistol.

Cook-off is theoretically a solution that can be solved with advances in chemistry, is how I've always treated it. Same with fragility and residue. From what I understand, the caseless portion of the LSAT program is doing fairly well, though it's not as far along as the polymer-cased telescoped ammunition they're developing alongside it (which coincidentally is functionally so similar to caseless ammunition that you could, if you wanted, assume its use for most situations where caseless ammo would give benefits).

More importantly, the ejected casings from normal bullets acts as a heat sink, while caseless ammo just leaves the heat where it is And where it is is a pressure chamber that is going to have a load of highly energetic flammable material very, very soon.

>>
>>48147565
Yes.
>>
>>48147960
In its current iteration, no. They wouldn't be the same size and I believe the LSAT program's cased telescoped iteration needs some fixes compared to something firing brass (I'd guess that one thing to consider for them is the way brass normally seals the chamber and expands-- Something that I know doesn't matter for shotguns but I think the metal ring in telescoped ammunition is much smaller).

Functionally, it's pretty much the same, though. It's effectively just using a cartridge made of a polymer instead of brass, and encasing the bullet entirely in propellant rather than putting all of the propellant behind the bullet, which makes the overall round much shorter and lighter than brass.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHkW-RKBXK4

I'm pretty sure these tests were conducted with the polymer casing at tech readiness level 7, which it hit a while ago. So this much is a pretty simple inclusion.

And since everything in Shadowrun is mind-fuckingly stupid and nonsensical and it runs on "this is a cool thing so do it", cased ammo is what my group considers the norm because why the fuck not?
There's no rules differences between cased and caseless, there's no reason to include caseless, all the guns make no damn sense half of the time anyway, and the art always shows cased.

I like casings because every time you remember they exist it's because the floor is covered in them and it's hard to run, or because a 300-degree piece of brass got caught in your thermographic mirrorshades from a glitch complication. Incidental complications are a great tool as a GM.
But I do things different according to the game I'm running. Mercenary games demand caseless ammo for the same reason they demand you chamber things in FUTURE calibers like 6.5 Grendel and you assume that programs like ACR, the M8, LSAT, and the like can get adopted-- It's not happening now because of administrative inertia, but in the "near future" you get to imagine up the guns you wish that you were using. Which is more fun than going "It's 2075 and the UCAS still uses the M4, just altered six more times and slightly improved because this game doesn't really present a convincing reason to say otherwise except for the advent of caseless ammo, which could potentially be done through a modification".
>>
>>48148388
The UCAS does actually still use an M-16 derivative. The M-23 is literally just an M-16A2 with a different handguard and a weird shroud over the magazine. I don't even think it's caseless.
>>
>>48147379

Don't forget better intrinsic accuracy due to the fixed barrel
>>
>>48147558
Oh also, revolvers can't use caseless unless you were to modify the action entirely. The gas would expand out of the gap behind the chamber, if not for the brass heating and expanding to close it. I don't know if there's a theoretical way to solve that problem.
>>
>>48148549

Yeah, there is. Look up the Nagant Revolver (and others).
>>
>>48148607
The Nagant Revolver locked the front portion of the cylinder, not the back.
>>
>>48148607
The Nagant's gas-seal mechanism seals the front of the chamber though, not the rear. The rear is assumed to already be sealed by the brass cartridge itself.

im stuck at the moment /srg/. I cant decide what style of razorgirl to build. which do you guys prefer kitted out cyberarms(enched str,agi and a razor/blade/spur) with reaction enhancers or muscle aug/toner with reaction enhancers. iv got the money and ess for both but im not sure about the flavor. all I know is my girl likes to show off her arms and im not sure if its in a proud " im chromed up" kind of way or in a "look at my muscles!!!" kind of way.
>>
>>48148756
Gunbunny or Missie Melee? Kitted out full cyberarms are expensive and you can put shock hands and other cyberweapons in the meat itself. Though if you are adding any kind of cybergun, I would suggest the cyberarm.
>>
>>48148756
Fundamentally, cyberpunk is heavily driven by the conflict between man and machine, the potential for making yourself more powerful in the short term but perhaps giving up something intangible for it. Chrome is a good symbol of that and a good way to bring in some characterization while still sticking to traditional cyberpunk aesthetics - there's just something more momentous about having your arms replaced with cybernetics than having new muscle spliced in. It provides more characterization and roleplaying hooks, since it's more obvious and a decision that your character will have to literally wear on her sleeves.
Bio-sammies are the flavor of the month as of late, mostly because CGL despises classic cyberpunk aesthetics and are trying to crush cybernetics in SR with everything they can - plot devices, cost increases and sporadic nerfs as well as of course less coverage and everything being hackable. While bioware would likely be the best mechanical choice if you're playing CGL Shadowrun, there's just something about classic chrome that meshes very well with the themes of proper cyberpunk - it's a bit flashier and a bit cruder than bioware, and more of a statement-cum-lifestyle than just replacing some tissue.
If you're playing an earlier edition, of course, there's no doubt - go for chrome. CGL has forgotten what FASA used to do, and is going their own way with the game - which includes mechanically and narratively undermining classic cyberpunk themes and devices in favor of "we have magic and inclusiveness". There's been a complete change in the customer group, and the game has suffered for it in all capacities and on all fronts.

The most I've taken damage wise was once a 16p, -4ap shot, but the best story I got was the time I got ambushed by a team of 8 people and got mag-dumped on by all 8 of them, and walked away with 3 stun damage. The dice were definitely in my favor at that point.

More on this.

>The fight has died down.
>I've taken down 5 to 10 gangsters already, so maybe I got 'em all.
>Use two full movements exploring the place.
>End up about to walk on to a boat with 2 meters of movement left.

It's kind of dumb just how good the Ares Alpha actually is. Pound for pound I can't find a better gun at creation. Which sucks, because I want this character to move to Machine Guns, but I can't justify the points are creation, and karma later is just going to be a pain in the ass.

>>

Ask your GM if you can modify the Ares Alpha to be belt fed, convert it to a Machine Gun, and use Heavy Weapons instead. Machine Guns are mostly complete shit in 5e.
>>
>>48148549
It's easy with caseless. Just use electrical firing and the back can be 100% sealed (As long as the chamber is lined up with the barrel.) The chambers to either side might not necessarily be sealed, but they're also not firing outside of horrible malfunctions.
>>
My problem is you have something like the Ruhmetall SF-20 from R&G. It's 12P, AP-4. But it's FA only, with an accuracy of 6? Mods can kind of fix this, BUT IT ALSO TAKES 10 FUCKING STRENGTH AND IT'S 18F

help me wrap me head around cyberylimbs /srg/ because forwhatever reason I seem to have caught a case of the auts.

ok if iv got an orc with 6/8 str and I give him a pair of cyberarms, that are equipped with a standard 3 str correct? now say iv got dosh to throw around so I give him customized str of 5 for a total of 8 (but no more than 8 because they cant go higher than the racial limit.) then if I want more I could possibly add 3 more with Enhancements for a grand total of 11 str. is that more or less right or am I missing something?

Probaby a fairly dumb question:
do I need to specialize in something, (more like is it free to take a specilization) if I take a knowledge skill, or is chummer just weird?

Like if I plug in parazoology in chummer, I take the option for N.America, and it doesn't detract from anything on the right hand summary column, or say anything, except give me the (8) over my normal 6.

These are the people who are on /srg/. The answer is no, they don't come default with your natural STR and AGI
>>

I've literally always assumed that if you had more than 3 it just started at your base strength.

I've literally ran games with that.
Welp, I guess I've been houseruling.
>>
>>48150999
part of why im asking iv gotten so confused its not funny.

pg.456 says
Cyberlimbs: These prosthetics are basic off-the-shelf models. All standard cyberlimbs come with Strength and Agility attributes of 3. These values can only be augmented by cyberlimb enhancements, not other augmentations.

so I just went off of that.
>>
>>48151007
It subtracts a knowledge skill.
>>
What's a good augmentation-based source of fire?
I'd just put a flamethrower in my arm that immolates people when I punch them, but that's not quiiite in the rules.
>>
>>48151061
Your Cyberlimbs come stock with 3/3 AGI/STR. Then at the time of purchase/installation (and only then) you can get STR and AGI CUSTOMIZATION up to your metatype natural maximums. Then afterwards, you can purchase STR and AGI enhancements to boost it 3 higher. These are the ones that take up capacity.
>>
>>48151022
Huh, I thought I had skills down for characters at least.
Suppose I should look at the character creation section all over again.
Ah well, my second session hasn't happened yet so I got time to figure it out.
>>48151064
Like, a point?
Must be a glitch, then. I should only have 12 knowledge skill points, i've got 12 points divided into 3 skills, and then 2 specilizations, and it says I'm at 0 rather than negative.
Thanks, friendo.
>>
>>48151116

que?

>>
>>48151061
All cyberlimbs start with 3 Strength and Agility. You can customize them at acquisition, but not afterwards to have higher strength and agility, at a cost of nuyen and +1 Availability to the cyberlimb. These customizations can not exceed your natural limit based on metatype and the cyberlimb, if bought at chargen, cannot exceed Availability 12. The enhancements are a separate set of shit, like muscle augs/toner and add to the limbs strength or agility without increasing the limbs availability, but take up capacity in the limb.

ok so I was more or less right. so my theoretical orc with 3 STR cyberarms would need to take custom STR 5 to get to his max metatype limit, and after that I have enhancements to boost him 3 STR higher.

meaning I can have cyberarms stronger than my base STR, say my orc for whatever reason has a STR of 3 and then gets his arms chromed up to 6 using the above method.

sorry for the retard level questions like I said im new to the game and just trying to figure things out, so thanks for the help.

>>48151224
As in when you run out of knowledge skill points, it should go from showing '(x) of (y) knowledge skills remaining' to '(x) of (y) knowledge skillls remaining: (z) karma'. customization goes up to your racial max regardless of what your current stat is. a str 3 ork and a str 6 ortk can both have their arm customized up to 8 str, and then enhanced another 3 to 11 str

this is why one of the most common uses of a cyberlimb is to slap one really fancy one on a decker or face who doesnt have good base str/agi, so you are getting maximum value out of the arms better stats

I want to run shadowrun, but I am far too by-the-seat-of-my-pants of a GM to not take extensive creative liberties with the setting.
Is that acceptable, or will everyone who plays this game get pissed at me for including things not in the universe, or altering things in the universe to work differently?
>>
>>48152961

So long as you aren't too dumb about it, there's a lot you can get away with.

Every GM's version of shadowrun is different.

Like >>48153908 said, putting all your eggs in one ganger or security boss or whatever basket is risking a serious letdown of a fight, and if they aren't, it's because they're unreasonably difficult to damage or can take an unreasonable amount of punishment.

If you want to go for something that feels like a boss fight, make them stand out. You have to give the fight a reason for its special conditions, though; a small group of adept runners who can phase through walls can't just be a boss on its own, they have to tie in with something larger, like make them some kind of specimen collection team specially trained by some visionary ex-MIT&T professor.

To be boss fights, they have to be different from everything they're used to facing. For it not to feel videogamey, they just have to be used sparingly, and have a reason why they're so different from everything else.
>>
>>48153914

Sure. It's a quick one.

Local clubowner who happens to be a contact of the Drug/Raver Chaos Mage states that some of his patrons have gone missing lately, because a new "Club" has floated into town

It's a container ship from late 20th century that has containers stacked as high as possible, welded together, and then had the walls cleared out for individual floors. It has 9 levels. They are all themed (in real life and AR) as the nine circles of hell.

The Runners' job is to escort the local clubowner as he goes to have a meeting with this woman about the missing people. While they are walking up the ramp to the ship he informs them "By the way, they're going to try to kill me. When I give the word, kill everything that moves."

They go through the levels - nothing happens (huge point of failure for me, but I'm still a really new DM. Pacing is being worked on.) But when they reach treachery they see that there are six ghoul guards in the room posted at various places. Very obvious ghouls. Cybereyes, fucked up skin, etc. They only guard treachery, the rest of the floors were just ganger scum.

Secretary tells runners to take a seat, boss man walks into large double doors for the meeting. He gives the word via com, and gunfire erupts. The GSA proceeds to absolutely decimate a ghoul a pass for two passes (because I made some rule failures) and the other three runners take on the other 4. (Mage used AOE).

As the last ghoul falls, the double door of the meeting room bursts open. Boss man is on his back and missing his hand and the boss vampire is holding a mono-whip. She is then riddled with stick-n-shock from the GSA who had just enough for one more pass.

The entire thing was a ruse by the club owner to rescue someone very important he wanted leverage on. He also made the team execute all the ghouls and the vampire before they left.

I plan to use the set piece later, because my players liked it due to the detail I went into.

The only things I think will actually cause problems are if you ignore the limitations of magic or the Matrix, because you can get pranked by your players and regret it

What I usually do is I select a sourcebook that I intend to run mostly loyal to, and then boil the themes and shit from that down-- So if I'm running from the Aztlan sourcebook than I'm probably going to want to treat the Carib League as more dilapidated and hopeless than you get from, say, Cyberpirates, and if I'm running California Free State I might not want to have Aztlan be as monolithic as it's portrayed in its own sourcebook. But the overall course of events is basically the same and you can usually argue that it's just differences in attitude and interpretation.

Game-mechanics wise, if you want to save up on Attribute points at chargen for a secondary role (or focus on another role and shore up your fighting ability), it is easier to get one (or 2, but it's expensive) fully kitted-out cyberarm.

If you want to be primarily a fighter, then high physical attributes and muscle aug/toner is better.

At that point the question is raised, why bother with caseless ammo at all then? The advantages are minimal for something that is more expensive, complex, and way more finicky.
>>
>>48157666
Because it still is an improvement over cased ammo. We will inevitably perfect caseless ammo, and it is more or less better than cased in most every way. Again, advances in material sciences and chemistry will no doubt make caseless a lot more viable. Hell, what a lot of people forget is that the G11 passed the West German military trials with flying colours, and was going to be adopted by them. The only reason it wasn't was because of unification. It even performed favourably in the US ACR testing, but America just didn't want to spend the money to restandardize to 4.73mm caseless and phase out the M16A2.

Chummer guy, since you showed us the cutom drug feature in past threads, is it possible to use it in creating custom weapon turrets on cars? As far as i get, the principle is the same.

Quick questions
Is it possible to conceal a cyberdick and balls in the body? If possible a normal cyberdicks costs 5000(SR4 bodytech) what would be the extra price of this hiding feature?

Hey Yekka, is it possible to add Handloaded Ammo (from Hard Targets) in Chummer?
>>
>>48156106
My buddy is playing a troll rigger in the game we're setting up. Has a shotgun he loads with incendiary ammunition. Has an underbarrel grappling hook launcher.

Suffice to say he doesn't intend to use the grappling hook to climb buildings.

Stupid Question: Some spells in Chummer 5 give as source "SSP" (usually with a page in the 15-20 range).
What's the full title of this book? I cant find any info on it...

Last run he got damn near ventilated by an SMG burst right in the goddamn torso.
He had some minor injuries during the run but was basically plugged filled with led even through his armor and only some good medical rolls and Stamina on his part saved his life.

He's gonna need some crazy dermal regeneration shit if he wants to get rid of those five entry wounds on his chest.

All-Chrome Troll probably is the biggest waste of the (mostly theoretical) All Chrome group because there's a notable inability to have all limbs maxed out (used limbs aside, but you only have so much essence).

But it can be done. Probalby will have fewer guns in everything because you can have Str of YES and can put it to use. Just remember to get a weapon that does stun so that you can easily Not Murder people for those times you don't want to murder.

Currently no; the custom drugs are being built from ground up to do custom drug things. I guess I could universalise it to do the same thing, but it'd be a while before I could get around to it.
>>48158345
Ehhh. It's an argument we've been quietly having on the side. I don't want to make hand loaded versions of everything, but that's currently the only way to implement it. I'd prefer to be able to make it modifiable, but there's not much of a code base to support doing that yet. Limited free time and general weariness is setting in a bit, so I'm sort of picking my battles with development at the moment.

That is because I'm an idiot and didn't check it properly. You need to replace the WHOLE item. So copy the item you want to override, add the sensorcategory stuff, and you should be golden.

Thanks for the Info and thanks for grinding your gears so much for us, Yekka!

Couldn't you just make a Gear category "Handloads" with an entry for each mod-variant (+1 DV and +1 Precision) that can be added as a plugin to the ammo in your inventory?
You already can add shit as Plugins for ammo (without any effect), the only point missing would be for the mod stat to influence the parent item and some way to get the correct pricing.

>>48159164
I had a guess I was going to have to do that. I'll just take it slow, then. First, arm. Because that's where I usually want to put 'em.

So I just finished SR:HK, and I have a question for /srg/: Why does everyone seem to love Duncan Wu? There was maybe two times in the entire game where he was not complaining about his dead father, his dead partner, or his dead career. I don't understand why I've seen him praised so much here.
Gobbet is cute tho
And Racter and Gaichu are cool.

Things with a costfor value get... weird with plugins, and it doesn't carry up to the gun properly. It's not impossible to implement, but there's a bit of effort involved to make it work properly.
>>48159366
Duncan's ziptie used to be a 100% chance to knock ANYONE unconscious, including the final boss.
>>
>>48159366
He's a whiny bitch. Even more so in the DLC.

However, in the first version of the game, he could walk up to that Yama King/Elder God/Horror thing, stun it and 'cuff it into submission; which was awesomely ballsy and made up for his attitude.

Now Quian Ya is immune to AP loss, and he's jus a whiny bitch.
>>
>>48159366
I personally thought Duncan was a whiny cunt, I never got the love for him either.
Gobbet amuses me greatly though, I would snuggle her but the smell would probably kill me. And it takes a lot for me to like ANYTHING jap-themed, so it's a huge achievement for Gaichu to make me like him. But I do. I have mad respect for that blind bastard, and I'd have him covering my back any day.

>Runners trying to steal a valuable piece of tech from a corp engineer living in a walled-in neighborhood

>Unfortunately they don't know which house the tech is in, the corps have made sure to make that information inaccessible.

>They use disguises and drones to scope out the houses day by day, however, two days in a row someone spots them out and calls Lone Star. They manage to bugger out in time before the coppers show up, though.

>Rigger traces the calls to one of the houses in the neighborhood, turns out the engineer's kid has been home sick with some bug the last week

>However, the runners now know which house the tech is in, they move in for the extraction the next day.

>The kid has somehow managed to rig the house with a plethora of traps using his dad's drones and equipment, as well as his own toys and things like tubs of glue and at one point a massive trunk full of books

>In the end the runners have to retreat, foiled by a small child.

And that's how I put my runners through the events of Home Alone 3 in the 6th world. The best part was when the troll street sam tried to grab the kid, hit a tripwire, failed his save and did a faceplant into a rigged taser.

Calgary, in the Algonkian-Manitou Council.

The big upside was the ridiculous "Great White North" accents we put on, and one of the runners (the face, of course) was super racist towards Natives. "We need to take our fucking country back!" and that sort of thing.

I have no idea
Gobbet, Racter and Gaichu are probably my favourites, and is0bel's mission (specifically the part where you're guiding her by commlink) puts her way up there too

Duncan is just kind of boring in comparison, since he doesn't do much and mostly just complains, so I don't personally see why anyone likes him much.
in combat he's pretty good though, since he's the only person in the party who wields a longarm besides maybe the PC, and used to be pretty much broken.
