In the last bread we learned about the lightning the NLs use, one Anon was explained the reasons why the Hellbrute Contemptor sucks, the differences between the Fists and Warriors were posted again which would lead to one Anon saying the Fists weren't siege experts, we talked about the series's failings and which BL writer is the best, Khorne's favorite croc was mentioned and talk on the Dreadnought RoW was made, we talked about our favorite generic models, Wayland games is horrible, and it really does seem like a BA player is making the rules for 30k IXth legion plus more in the last thread >>48048421

Help me /hhg/ I'm realy confused about colour schemes

Did all Legion darken their colour schemes for destroyers?

Also when did Chaplains change their colours, the BaC chaplain and Erebus are in Legion colours but Zardu Layark is in black?

Also were Libbies only blue after Nikea?

Finally Whats the deal with Apothecaries?
>>
>>48063111
Chaplains should actually be in black with skull helms, actually. Don't know about Destroyers, sorry.

>Did all Legion darken their colour schemes for destroyers?
No. Their line of work would make sure of that.
>Also when did Chaplains change their colours, the BaC chaplain and Erebus are in Legion colours but Zardu Layark is in black?
I saw a picture of that chaplain who Lucius beheaded and his armor was black. I think.
>Also were Libbies only blue after Nikea?
I believe so.
>Finally Whats the deal with Apothecaries?
They're medics. I have seen pictures of them in full white, but I think nowadays it's just one pualdron with white.
>>
>>48063111
>destroyers
I'd assume most of them did, considering the stigma attached to being a destroyer and using the typically frowned upon weaponry.
>Chaplains
Was probably personal preference at the time, but they might have changed once the heresy was underway to denote their seniority/special status as morale raisers
>Librarians
Post Nikea they returned to being regular legionaries, and thus dropped whatever coloring they had adopted. Blue came into use for librarians majorly after the codex was implemented
>Apothecaries
They've been the same since forever - primarily white with secondary legion colors and the apothecary's helix to show their medic status
>>
>>48063111
>Chaplains.
Have always been black with a skull helm, and orginated in the Word Bearers.

>Destroyers.
Pretty sure, but I've seen pics on FW's site where they're in normal legion colors, so take what you will.

>Also were libbies only blue after Nikea?
Probably. Traitors might not have followed that though.

>Finally what's the deal with Apothecaries.
They've always been white or white/legion color, or legion colors with white shoulder.

Who still think that Ultramarines have the best gene seed? 40k sure, them and dangles have some great jizz in them. 30k they have to compete with IW who could churn out more marines with a knack for math and technology with no abnormalities.

And then there's the Alpha Legion who's troops where bugger, stronger, faster, and smarter than all the other legions. They also had no defects and were on par with the other top tier gene seeds when it came to rejection rates.

I would argue that the Moon Wolves would have the best geneseed because Horus being the greatest primarch, and the only thing it does to you is make you look a little like Horus. Or the EC's seed which is purer than everybody's thanks to the high standards they have. You'll become an albino, and be more sensitive to external stimuli of course though.

WE have pretty stable geneseed but have extra agression. Curze's jizz is actually purer than you'd expect but it has been noted to make marines paranoid and self destructive. Flamer weapons only burn the top layers of dirt and enemies, chem and rad weapons stick around in the atmosphere, soil, cities, and people. Remember, the great crusade wasn't a purge, it was a war of reunification among humans, and a subjugation of those who resisted to harness their resources.
Destroyer-Grade weapons were usually leveled against hostile xenos and stupidly toxic/deadly worlds in order to prep them for mining/settlement, but the cleanup post-war would still take months/years to reach habitable state. Remember, legions are massive, meaning not just a couple hundred destroyers, but rather tens of thousands - you're nearing exterminatus levels of rads/chems being deployed over the course of an entire campaign - typically months to years.
Still, they were preferable to virus bombing, cyclonic torpedoing, or any other variant of exterminatus, which would have rendered the target planet basically useless whereas damage from destroyers would still be recoverable from.

First for VULKAN LIVES
>>
>>48068894

I need to do my edge highlighting too but I'm probably going to put it off for a long while yet. I'm happy that I've merely gotten into the habit of painting every day after a months long drought of painting caused by bad weather.

I'm also between games but I'm sure once new patches/games come out in a couple weeks I'll be no-lifeing those. You should just do what makes you happiest. If it means your painting gets pushed back a bit then so be it. Just make time for it when you can.

While the glue and shit is drying on these parts I'm working on I'm going to be playing Skyrim. I pre-ordered Overwatch but still haven't played it.
>>
I need a decent anti-tank choice for about 200pts. Which one would be most cost-effective?

> Deredeo
> Vindicator (Destroyer variant); x2 with little stretch on points.
> Sicaran (Regular)
> Sicaran Venator
> Fire Raptor (more of a anti-infantry? hmm)
> Rapier(s)
>>
>>48068894
I'm repainting my EC contemptor. I hate painting gold.
>>
>>48069406

Rapiers by far because of their value and firepower to points ratio. Unfortunately this vastly increases their monetary cost and the models aren't as cool.

Luna Wolves and/or Imperial Fists, depending on the mood. Curse my goddamn Legion choices. What was I thinking.
>>
>>48069406
I would say either the rapiers or the laser vindis. TL S9 AP1 ordnance is really fucking good.
>>
>>48069832
wanna post pictures of your WIP Wolves and Fists. Now that I've got 3k points of Fists, I'm thinking about my next legion...and Sons of Horus have been pretty goddamn tempting.
>>
>>48069830
I have a lot of fun with them. They outflank and cause some havoc. I like to load em down with HK missiles and let fly with them ASAP. I even magnetised them and take them off as I fire it's like the highlight of using them.
>>
>>48070051

I like the model for the Vindicator but single shot for 130 points? I guess it's not that bad a value due to TL and all the special rules but it's still a "fragile" Vindicator and you have to basically not move if you want to get good value.
>>
Combat shields on Templars or don't bother?

Where'd all the loyal primarchs fuck off to after the war? If even one stayed back, he could've fix'd so much shit. Russ, Corax, The Khan and Vulkan all went awol.

Also did GW add more story to Vulkan? The lexicanum mentions him fighting a massive ork army and then disappearing, but last I remember hearing was him in stasis with the Fulgurite.

Well, we know where the Great Angel is. He's in the fortress monastery on Baal; and unlike the other loyalist primarchs, there is no prophecy of his return. We aren't even sure what effect his rebirth would have on the chapter. I think its safe to assume Sanguinius is truly dead.
>>
>>48070085
If you overcharge the reactor you get 2 shots, and if you stand still it becomes 3. To me it's a rapier but more mobile. They're nice in squadrons. Top tip(TM), if you squadron them buy the vindis machine spirit, but always leave one vindicator without machine spirit, it saves you some points and has no affect on the squads ability to choose targets.
>>
>>48070361
Sorry, meant to say "Why" not "Where".

I know what happened ot them, what I don't get is the logic GW wants me to accept. that is that not one stayed back to stabilize the Imperium.
>>

I play BA and people like to make the dead Sanguinius jokes, and yeah he got fucked up by Horus, but I kind of prefer him being dead than GW thinking of some dumbass reason as to why he's not here.

Sanguinius
>very very dead

Vulkan
>fucked off and promised to come back if his sons found all these relics he hid. They're currently on 5/7 if I recall (one of them is an orbital laser, don't ask me how they figured it out).

>Corax
nevermore (cant wake up)

Guilliman
>got his throat slit up by Fulgrim post Heresy. He is actually one of the few Primarchs that are still physcially present. His body is in stasis in the Temple of Corrections on Maccrage. They couldn;t heal him so they put him in stasis and pilgrims come to look upon his body from all over the Imperium. Legend holds he is healing in stasis despite that being impossible just due to the nature of stasis fields.

>Khan
chased some Dark Eldar into the webway and never came back. Honestly not the smartest choice but he did it because he was fighting the good fight and is probably still alive.

>Russ
Left in the middle of dinner to find the golden fruit from the Tree of Life to revive the Emperor. What the golden fruit from the Tree of Life is I dont know and I dont think Russ knows either

>The Lion
knocked the fuck out in the bowels of the Rock

>Dorn
Was either killed or just went MIA in the first Black Crusade I believe, not sure which crusade. He was either dragged down by 50 chaos champions or he was simply wounded by them and is hanging out somehwere. Either way the current day Imperial Fists have the bones of one or both of his hands (cant remember) in the Phalanx.

>Ferrus
also very dead

>>

Its no joke, brother. I kind of think it would make the sacrifice of Sanguinius less grave if he just "woke up." Generations of Blood Angels succumbing to the black rage, only to have the primarch show up? What would even happen? One of my favorite parts of 40k lore is that the Blood Angels truly sacrificed everything for the Emperor's victory- and still sacrifice every day on a very personal level. Nothing but respect for that.
>>
>>48064866 >>48063111

Been debaiting SoH or Alpha Legion. I'm ok with either's play style, and I'm not playing to win or anything. I much more concerned with their looks. Alpha Legion looks good right out of B@C with MK IV armor, but I'm afraid SoH would look too plain. Will they look fine, should I mix in some CSM bits, or just go Alpha?
>>
>>48070519
not only do I like all those models, I like your monitor too because I'm pretty sure we have the same one. unfortunately Overwatch took my attention tonight but this amazing picture definitely makes me wanna spend all evening painting tomorrow. I still haven't been able to get a 30k game because my LGS moved across town. I just wanna roll some dice dammit :(
>>
>>48070687

SoH in seafoam green and black will never look boring. Having black shoulders automatically makes them look more interesting, and their green is more unique than red or blue. Combine this with plenty of armor studs and topknots and the black Justaerin and veterans and it will be far more interesting to look at than a sea of metallic blue like AL.
>>
>>48070687
Alpha. SoH got buffed, but still by far AL's the one of strongests
>>
>>48070590
>>48070692
Your words are too kind.

That sucks about your LGS. I've got friends who play HH so we get together every other weekend or so. It's nice to have constant opponents but sometimes I want for the variety that only a PUG can provide.
>>
>>48070687
Hydra Dominatus and all that

I went with Alpha Legion because honestly the (knock off) shoulder pads and rhino parts look awesome. Why go with a boring eye of Sauron motif when you can have fucking hydras?
>>
>>48070687
Which one do you like better lore-wise?

But for everything else, I'd say Alpha, if only because I want to see all the other legions special units in AL colors.
>>
>>48070786
I always wondered whether Coil-ed specials retain their original Legion colors or not.
>>
>>48070846

I think they would, because they're supposed to be infiltrators.

But I also think it looks cooler to see various legion units all painted up in AL colors to match the rest of the army.
>>
>>48070846
Most likely retain orginal colors, as they are infiltrators. Plus, if you have multiple legions, you can just take their specials for whenever you want to tweak your AL list.

On the other hand, I'd love to see all the special units in AL colors, like the Gal Vorbak.

Y'know, I'd totally start AL if it weren't for the fact that I hate beakies with a passion, and the headhunter kill team upgrade and their helmet ipgrade pack comes with them.

They still need models for their Lernean Terminators too, don't they?

Anyways, I'm pretty sure their support cadre will come with Lerneans once they have a model, Alpha Legion Contemptor (Which looks awesome), and Headhunter Kill Team upgrade sets with Mk.IV/VI bodies to put them on.

Kek.

Or even just showing up in AL colors and having no one question it, such is the legendary stealth and misdirection of the Alpha Legion.
>>
>>48070687
like someone else you should look at the fluff to decide, take it from someone who is playing alpha legion, our fluff is really shallow and empty, "its a mystery :^)" only really works as a meme and is really boring in the actual books. its actually so chaffing in my opinion that I'm considering changing legion to either emperors children, SoH, NL or WE. just because I think all of their fluff is 10.000 more times interesting then "hydra dominatus brother :^)" considering all the other traitor legions have actual arcs where they fall from the pinnacle of human super soldiers to ravening madmen and psychopaths.

Or they could be copies with rules that are represented in the tabletop with "stolen" legion equivalents.

>>

>>
>>48071063

>But how would you explain AL Gal Vorbak or Mhara Gals?
EZ
You just need to do stuff that recreates the tabletop rules, but in a different way. Deconstruct it in blocks you can replace for alternative ones.
>Example: the Daemon rule
It gives the model a 5++, Fear and deepstrike capabilities. In the case of some units it goes hand in hand with "Damned", meaning they don't count as Scoring/count as destroyed
AL Gal Vorvak EQUIVALENTS could be marines given Thallax treatment (+1S & T, teleportation capabilities, implanted engine powering stuff like a refractor field, Stubborn Bulky and Rage) by their Dark Mech allies.
They MAY not look like identical copies, but they sure behave like one.
>>48071125
>Someone suggested they were AL plants within the WB that got mutated then returned to the AL
Or they could be sleeper agents that returne to the main legion once recalled with their implanted subconscious...battle-meme codes. AL Li Lu Le OM :^)

>Did all Legion darken their colour schemes for destroyers?
Not as such, however the Forge World Horus Heresy books describe them as "marked by their fire-blackened and chem-scalded armour" etc.

Presumably the idea is they're normally using standard legion colors and markings, but in actual battlefield conditions they typically end up black or black/legion piebald due to their armaments and they environments they're utilized in. Only after parade-ground-grade cleaning, or in the case of freshly-minted new suits, would they actually look like they're wearing their standard legion colors.

There is a (mostly) standardized legion tactical marking for Destroyer units and support, though - pic related.
>>
>>48072665
It's also suggested a lot of them don't bother cleaning the soot off as a mark of experience or distinction from the rest of the legion
Think about it most of them have probably got unusable geneseed due to rads - no wonder they were removed from normal use by chapters later on

>Corax
Boarded a tiny ship which was, when last detected, heading direct to the Eye of Terror.

>Russ
Went in to the Eye or Terror with his elite, sans Bjorn. They've recovered his armor since then, so either he's dead or naked or has stolen something else to wear. (The Wulfen are supposed to be those same elite 10,000 years later, but there's been no information about what they have to say)

>Dorn
Either way the current day Imperial Fists have the bones of one or both of his hands (cant remember) in the Phalanx.
Original fluff was his complete skeleton. Then became the bones of his hands. The most recent fluff says that the recovered his "remains" and that "His engraved skeletal hand continues to be maintained in stasis, their holiest icon[...]"

And yeah, it was the first black crusade. Idiot teleported himself and his elite onto a chaos barge with no way back. They like to point out that it did stop the whole chaos fleet reaching Cadia and were forced to make repairs, during which time they were routed.

>Guilliman
Guilliman is held in stasis after suffering mortal wounds at the hands of (then Daemon Prince) Fulgrim in single combat. Specifically, a chaos-poison-tainted stab to the neck. In-universe, pilgrims think his wounds are healing but that's noted (again, in-universe) to be impossible.

Memes say it's Alpharius (or possibly Omegon) that took Guilliman's place after Guilliman was killed on Eskrador (the known-to-be-false "official record" stating that Alpharius killed Guilliman there), for maximum troll points. While a hilarious idea, nothing official supports it (and would imply that he's the one near-death in stasis).

>>
>>48072889
>the known-to-be-false "official record" stating that Alpharius killed Guilliman there
Derp, other way around. The official eyewitnes account of an Ultramarine, which is not believed by the inquisition and disavowed by the Ultramarines themselves, is that Guilliman killed Alpharius.
>>
>>48072915

That's an actual thing though. I'm left eye dominant and right handed, but when I was taught to shoot in the military I just used my right eye. I'm also right foot dominant but I learned to skateboard mongo so I ended up goofy-foot left-handed for skating.
>>
>>48072915

"It is believed that 85-90 percent of the world’s population is right handed. However, about 2/3 of the population is right eye dominant, and 1/3 is left eye dominant. Only a small number (thought to be around 1 percent) have no dominance by either eye."
>>
>>48072915
You can force and retrain eye dominance. This happened to me when I injured my right eye and ended up closing it a lot to give it a rest while watching the computer or TV. My guess is Snake is going to be left eye dominant whether he likes it or not after his injury.

Axescar here, back after a couple threads. Need some advice choosing a head for my artificer armor Praetor. (This is also why my parkourminator praetor got a greataxe for his paragon blade.)

Building Scars to be Sagyar Mazan, so this body was perfect due to the mixed marks of the suit. Tried for something of a cavalry saber feel for the sword. Cannot for the life of me decide on a head. The rest of the army uses stock heads, Squad leaders and veterans get forgeworld White Scar heads. As a Praetor, I feel he needs something... more.

Also everyone has helmets thus far because being shot in the face is overrated. My exception is anyone with an invuln save can go helmless. Was debating Kor'Sarro Khan's head, because it's a proper scar with the Fu Manchu. If not he needs a unique helm. Help

185pts is 150 (basic 9 guys + sarg) and 35 (rhino)
Same for the other tac is 19 guys + sarg
Mor Deythan is 4 + Shade ; Furies are 8 + Slaine.
>>
>>48073804
No, they don't. I know this for a fact and I challenge you to find the proof that they can mount demolisher cannons in 30k. I really do.

I'll give you a hint: 852.M41
>>
>>48073848
My fellow white scar, thats a real tasty looking praetor so far

I'd say go for some kind of decorative MKII helmet, Scars were big on the MKII. I think the helmet of the MKII standard bearer is fucking sexy, but that's just opinion and I'm not sure how you'd get your hands on it, haven't seen it on any bitz site.

Also, mind if I ask how you work Saygar Mazan? I was wanting to add some more legions in the future and maybe run a shattered legion in the future, so was just wondering what it's like running it, I usually run CHogorian Brotherhood.

No I was right, in the solar auxilia list they can take Demolisher cannons, they can swap their hull mounted autocannon for it.

Don't have the imperialis militia list to hand, but I'd assume it's the same there.
>>
>>48073897
You're thinking of the Malcador. Macharius was first rolled out in 852.M41 (the fact that it's named after Lord Solar Macharius of early M41 fame should have been a dead giveaway) as a cheap baneblade alternative and thus could not have been used during the Heresy. Though I wouldn't put it past FW to find a way to cram it in there somehow.

Also, it really looks like the Macharius has lascannon sponsons, which the thing shouldn't have either, just heavy stubber/bolter/flamer ones. I'd suspect it to count as a Malcador with battle cannon turret, demolisher hull and lascannon sponsons. Maybe the person fielding it didn't like the smaller Malcador model or something?

I haven't actually gotten to play them yet. Still slowly building. The plan for Sagyar Mazan is to load up on scoring units (troops, combi-plas seekers, terminators,) and play balls to the wall offense. Shattered legions can't be denial units, so I kill whatever is on the objective, or die trying and potentially still get victory points for dying.

Looking at Salamanders as the second half of my shattered legion, just because they are my first army from 40k and I love them.

I'm not a very competitive player, so between the RoW that lets me pyrrhic victory the fuck out of my opponent, and the balls-tighteningly amazing sendoff they got in Path of Heaven, the Sagyar Mazan just sort of called my name.

Do you understand how wrists work?
>>
Death Guard love destroyer squads. Is a destroyer squad with jump packs fluffy for Death Guard?
>>
>>48073999
Fair enough, you really can notch up the offense to 11 with scars.

Salamanders could be an interesting choice for the rest of the legion, you could get a bit of a hammer and anvil thing going on.

Also I can't really call myself a scars fan without reading path of heaven can I? I'm waiting for the paperback to be released, it will cause me serious pain if I have one hardback in my collection of paperbacks
>>
>>48074061
I'd say so, any destroyers are DG style really.
>>
>>48074074
They're going to do the newer books in paperback? Giving they're backfilling the BL range into handback I thought they were going to try having the entire range just in expensive hardback. Which would be retarded, but then the company does have form in "higher prices mean bigger profits!" thinking.
>>
>>48074061

Death Guard don't really get any special utility out of destroyers since if you want phosphex you can just take some rapiers, which will be tougher and probably cheaper then the squad, and if you want Rad grenades run the reaping and field despoilers, terminators, assault marines with rad grenades

>>48074138
Amazon have it up for pre-order in paperback, but it's not out until october 6th
>>
>No reply from Wayland support yet
>Tried calling but nobody is there
>Check the German courier website and
have to search for ages before finding their customer service
>It's closed for the day

Well I guess I'll keep purchasing from Amazon due to their fast shipping and excellent customer service.
>>
>>48074177
Jesus christ you actually order from wayland?

Just go element games if you're ordering any GW stuff, better service, faster, and you get a free mint and pen with your order.
>>
>>48074176
Well, that's a relief. You can't actually order paperbacks any more in you try to do it in a GW (I figured it was a way of supporting a store given books normally go for about the same price everywhere, if you were wondering why I was trying to order books at a GW) so they're pushing people to use other supplies to get the cheaper paperbacks at this point. The big sillies.
>>
>>48074195
What's the S&H like?
>>
>>48074195
Just checked and they wouldn't ship Betrayal at Calth to where I live.
>>
>>48074213
S&H? sorry that went over my head

>>48074219
Ah fair enough, personal experience has made me prefer element over wayland, and I know people on here have had similar experiences.

But if you want B@C, you can probably get in on ebay for cheaper than both, or just get the sprues you want.
>>
>>48074275
Shipping & Handling. How much does it cost for them to ship shit to me and do they offer free shipping?

Personally I've never had any problems with Wayland in all the time I've ordered stuff from them. One package was lost and they were fast to send me a new one. Luck of the draw, I suppose. I wouldn't mind another store, but so far I have not found one that has beaten Wayland in terms of what I need.
>>
>>48073308
Me again. Well nobody seems to be interested... Now thats awkward
>>
>>48074310
£80+ is free first class shipping for me here in bongland

It's £2.95 otherwise, as they only offer first class shipping which is a bit of a pain, but with the discount they have on GW products it's still cheaper than ordering direct from GW I suppose.
>>
>>48074367
Don't live in bongland.

Played out with the store a bit. Shipping isn't terrible, but most of the stuff I want is only 15% off vs. the 20% I get from Waybongland, plus free shipping to where I live at £50. I don't often order large amounts.

I'll keep them in mind in the future.
>>
>>48074348
That's the way it goes on /hhg/

Everyone wants to post fluff, no one wants to read fluff
>>
>>48074593
Yeah right... Ill try again later... Or tomorrow. Maybe someone will eventually read it and then proceed to tell me that i am an abominable faggot
>>
>>48074622
I just read it then, it's not bad, nothing fluff breaking in it.

I like the idea that some night lords have a line they wont cross, and for these ones it was killing their brothers.

Didn't really understand what happened with that librarian though. Did he go full chaos and damn them all or something?
>>
>>48074177
Both online stores and postal services are generally closed on weekends m8
>>
>>48074061
Yes. They're basically the Death Guard's own special equivalent of Assault Marines (and just as pricey.)

Some people will try to tell you that Destroyers without jump packs are more fluffy, based probably on only one Black Library book which has jump-packless Destroyers but mentions nothing about why. Probably because they note that the Death Guard make little use of specialized assault squads or jump packs generally, without considering that this logic doesn't take into account the tactically distinct nature of Destroyer units which operate differently to dug-in line-of-battle units.

>>48074159
It's still fluffy though, and you don't always want to run The Reaping. And even in a The Reaping list, you lack of access to many Fast Attack units will highlight such mobile units.
>>
>>48074177
Wayland is shit, feel sorry for you anon.
>>
>>48075056
>>48074061
DG did use jump packs tho, just like most legions. Go for it dude.

I think the flaw of his and your line of thinking is that everything was standardized across legions. Odds are that they either converged from different schemes or diverged from an identical scheme which was formally standardized under the Codex Astartes. As long as you put in effort you can justify having blue librarians or regular librarians, black chaplains or regular chaplains.

>Night Lords focus on stealth
Not even. They focus on terror tactics. Stealth just helps in some situations.

I never understood why Termie armor had a camera. Can you guys educate me?
>>
Why is Tartaros supposed to be the most common terminator pattern, yet I keep seeing Cataphractii everywhere?
>>
>>48076011
Cameras form a link between all suits in a squad, sergeant can see what his guys are linking at. Space Hulk goes into it a little
>>
>>48076054
Because it's not... fluff has Tartaros as the most ADVANCED armor (terminator version of mk IV armor, really) that was super expensive to produce and just getting pushed out to the legions.

Traditionalists.

Is it?

>yet I keep seeing Cataphractii everywhere?

You also see tons of MkII and III suits, and in terms of the Heresy we're already at VI, and IV's suppose to be like about the most common of them all.

Isn't that noted to be confusing for marines or causes motion sickness?
>>
Anyone happen to know the height and width of a Kharybdis Assault Claw? Trying to figure out what sort of case I'll need to store it.
>>
>>48075933
It may be a hangover from the 3rd/4th edition CSM codex (whichever one had all the legion options) in which Night Lords could get stealth on every model.

(Remember kids, while there may be similarities, 40k chapters/warbands are not necessarily identical to the 30k legions they came from.)

Same reason tanks and fighters have cameras. They give you better optics for perceiving your surroundings, ability to keep a record of what's going on, for commanders to keep tabs on their squadron, etc.

>>48076112
In Marines? They got a whole host of implants and therapy the enable them to multi-task in grandiose ways. Surely having video feed from other suits in your hud isn't going to throw you off. And if it is, better to step down and let someone else take command.

But wasn't mk4 noted for giving marines who never used the armor before basically sea sickness?

I'd love to hear this piece of fluff, because I've never read it. MkVI is the one with all the fancy optics and sensors.
