Smarmy raven familiar is best familiar.
While my 'Master' is in his classes, I'll fly around the city mostly indepently, cribbing tricks from whoever I can spy on - mostly stuff like psion academies and wuxia monasteries.
If I have to choose a single spell to use with the wand, it'd be Totally-Not-Alter-Self to get the benefits of being human(oid).
I'm surprisingly good in a fight; although I can't stay horse-sized for long, my ability to form a stone (or metal; it doesn't really matter) coating around myself at the cost of all flight better than 'controlled fall' makes for a hell of a divebomb along with the pseudocharge. At the very least, it lets me multitask between staying large and wing-slapping people terrified of the sudden bird statue.
Also, Prodigal shouldn't require giving up the focus power(s); it basically lets you give up some build versatility in favor of looking cool.

Honestly, I'd do either of those if I felt they would be enjoyed enough / net me as many (You)s. A novel wouldn't be too much "harder" than a CYOA. Certainly quite a bit different, but I don't think it would be too much more difficult than a large, lore-filled CYOA. And computer games aren't tricky either. I've made the framework for some fairly simple things before just to quit working on it as soon as it came around to populating it with content. Normally they just have one working level.

m8 I quit making CYOAs and wrote about a half of a supposed novel, about 300 kilobytes in txt right now, and I got about 15 thousand reads in only a few days, that's enough (you) for me. I have no idea what it'll be like when I add a few more chapters and complete the story.
I stand by what I said, most people make CYOAs because it's easy and quick, it gives you a creative outlet that can be brought to completion in a single day, unlike most other things you could be doing which would likely take months. Sure there are exceptions, but exceptions just point out what's normal by distancing from it.

Yeah, but the problem I'm seeing is if you combine it with Swarm your cells would regenerate still, just produce fucked up cancer ones and make you look...well basically a burn victim or something. Considering you need Swarm as well to make yourself regenerative enough to survive the cancer, I think that's more than enough point investment for immortality, and even then that's quite a bit of cost.
